Patreon Update for September: Business Time (Patreon)

Hello friends! I hope the past month has found you well and you're enjoying the fresh new tunes that are coming from the Two Hour Track Challenge! I can't believe that you all have supported this project to make it to two hundred songs. If I didn't have your support and encouragement I probably would have given up a long time ago. I've a become a better creative person and I cannot thank you enough for that. ❤

Aside from the 2HTC songs, August was heavily focused on business development and I want to talk about my business time adventures this time around.

One thing was a subtle rebrand of my avatar. I loved the pixel art, but it shared an uncanny resemblance to the game Tiny Towers. I wanted something that was truly my own. It might change a bit more in the future, but I'm pleased with it right now.

I also am working on updating the Patreon goals/tiers/description. I talked about support tiers a few weeks ago and I did implement those changes recently. Still working on getting everything else fully updated, but it's getting there!

Thanks to your support, I took the leap to hire a business developer to help me better focus my time and energy. It's honestly really weird hiring someone to boss me around, but it has been really good to have clearer objectives and milestones. Of course, my goal is trying to make creative work sustainable full time.

I have also been working with someone to better understand myself though a few personal development sessions. We did a personality type screen (Myers-Briggs pegged me as an INFP, so represent I guess?) as well as other things. The idea being that if I better understand my strengths and weaknesses, I can invest my resources better.

I also hacked together an internet kill switch pictured above. I've been embarrassingly addicted to YouTube the past few weeks and I need to curb that crap a bit. Gonna give it some use tonight while I'm editing some audiobook stuff.

Lots more going on, but I want to keep these short so people actually read them. Going to donate to some kitties this evening. I'm also going to change the patron folder passwords soon since it's been like a year. As always, thanks for your support and feel free to get in touch if you want to talk! ❤
