The predators were so weak here because they're basically teenagers going through a rite of passage into predator adulthood, to earn their stripes as a hunter. The predator that fought Arnie was a seasoned adult hunter.

Remember when the facehugger leapt at the predator's face and it cut to another scene? He got impregnated then, but it took a long time for it to gestate, maybe because Predator hosts take longer to bring the baby to term.

I never understood the hate on this movie, it was awesome. I reckon some comic nerds whined that it wasn't accurate to the comics and destroyed something they held sacred about the Predator or Alien franchises or some shit, and people online who were desperate for nerd and artistic credibility and social standing started hating on it, jumping on the trendy hate bandwagon even though they didn't know why. Bandwagon hate happens sometimes to entertaining movies.

I'm Team Predator all the way. they're way more intelligent and have a noble warrior code. Aliens are like ants, mindless drones, they are cunning though. I will take humanoid aliens like the predators over insectoid or reptilian type aliens any day of the week. Just like in Kong vs Godzilla I'm team Kong, primates over reptiles!

dude!!! okay so let's talk about how actually badass Lex is. so, she a survivalist instructor, right? and I am assuming a master climber at least...we have seen throughout the course of this film that she is smart, perceptive and able to keep calm in really tense situations. and she has also demonstrated that she has incredible reflexes. when she caught Weyland as he was sliding, with her climbing axe, by stabbing right into his hood and missing his face!!! that's some next level shit ngl. then we saw all the side effects of her being a survivalist....she's physically strong and I am legit amazed at her reflexes and stamina. she survived being kicked like a man by a teenage Yautja. and then, she is out here not just being recognized by a APEX HUNTER SOCIETIES species but holding her own and being able to fight next to him. she's insane.

and that Predator wasnt just being flashy....he knew this Queen was tough and he spun in the air to build up force...that's why his spear went clear thru her whereas Lex knew she wasnt strong enough to pierce the Hide so she aimed for the neck wound the Predator made earlier. the details are just....*chefs kiss* I am also very stoned lol
