I saw this movie with my ex fiance when he was home on leave. It was super upsetting. Still cant watch it without getting emotional. 💜

2026-10-05 06:00 I actually animated the deer getting shot at the start of the movie. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2179136/fullcredits look at first name in 'Animation department'. (Just in case no one believes me lol)

Chris Kyle was a real guy, so based on a true story. It always makes me sad thinking of all the good men who became soldiers for the right reasons and went off to war for reasons rooted in deception, like 911, WMDs in Iraq etc. Fantastic movie.

The Syrian sniper Mustafa won gold at the olympics in target shooting. It meant he was good. I think the gold eagles are put on the coffin by teammates.

The Navy Seal Eagle is for confirmed kills. It's really ironic that he spent over 1000 days (about 3 years total) over four tours, but it was an American who killed him. =( The guy who killed Chris Kyle is in prison for life.

I think the badges in the coffin just represent the amount of fellow seals in attendance. Each seal punches on one badge. Do you mean in order to have the badge in the first place to put on the coffin a seal has to have killed combatants?

I was replying to Matthew, it seemed like he was describing the eagle badges in the coffin as representing kills, whereas I think they just represented fellow seals in attendance.
