Ya I loved this movie when it came out and it definitely didn't deserve the hate it got

Tom Chan

Check out the animated Mortal Kombat movies on Max. They go more into the Mortal Kombat story without intruducing a random new guy. And those movies are even more brutal

Idan Diaz

idk if you noticed but scorpion is the elder from bullet train, bros got some cray aura. he has a show he stars is called shogun which is getting praised by critics so it has to be good.

this movie is great for mk fans with minimal lore knowledge. hardcore fans wanted it to a tea but you just can't do all of that for a screenplay. A good majority agrees this was a great setup. the casting could be better lol. like they got Butcher, Karl Urban from the boys for Johhny Cage for the sequal🤣🤣 I loooove Karl Urban but I do not see him as a Johnny, I hope he proves me wrong.

WOW Kano was the comeddy in this film

I’ve loved the MK franchise for a long time. Kitana is easily my favorite character from the games so hopefully they do her justice in the second film. For this, Kano was just too well cast. So good, honestly. You should give the original film a watch (not the sequel), it was a fun, campy action flick from the 90’s.

they are working on mortal kombat 2 currently and its supposed to come out late 2025
