This one was a request from Cody again thanks for the support and the great choice yet again!

A good choice for SebScream season I think as this film is a complete mind F-er and had some shocking scenes! It is currently on netflix so that is handy if anyone has not seen this one. I would highly recommend watching this and I am sure you guys will love the reaction :)

I’m so glad I saw this alone at the cinema. I would have DIED if I made someone watch it with me. It was also lowkey hilarious watching couples in the audience react to this 🤣🤣🤣

Basically this film is a metaphor about leaving a toxic relationship. The director has described it as more of a break up than a horror film

Love this film. Deeply strange and unsettling but so mesmerizing, beautifully shot, and a great exploration of loss and grief, ending with Dani escaping her toxic relationship and finding her place with a "family" that appreciates her (in a very twisted way of course lol). I think poor Seb's been left mentally scarred by this one hahaha. Ari Aster is a madman. Looking forward to seeing what he does next. (P.S. -- Seb, looking great in that polo shirt 💪😉😂)

*Spoilers Ahead* Just finished watching the film for the first time. That was something. I haven't seen Hereditary yet and had never heard about this film, so went in completely blind. I liked the feel of it for the first half, very mysterious and creepy. The second half was just an experience and a half. I feel like there is a lot of secret meanings and connections that probably are scattered everywhere- in the iconography especially. I did some social anthropology at university so somewhat understand why they stayed, but the fact the 'friend' didn't say anything about it, I would have nope'd the hell out of there. I might have got it wrong, but I think their cultural values and traditions are mostly inspired by the children who are purposefully 'unclouded by normal cognition', and that is a wild concept and positively terrifying. Was a wild ride and made for a very different reaction which was cool. So thanks Cody 🤣 I hope I don't have nightmares about this tonight 😂

I was so excited about this reaction. I forgot how much this film makes you uneasy. It is horrifying in its own way, very macabre and psychologically challenging. [SPOILER] But Ari Aster does a great job of making you feel the emotion, and as started re watching the film just now, i had to remind myself that Dani ends up "happy" by the end. It really shows how cults brainwash you. My October patreon pledge goes to you therapy fund Seb ! I never really recovered from watching this one.

Seb telling a baby to shut the hell up lol. I've been putting watching this film off because I knew it was a mindfuck. Watching for the first time along with you was a trip. Soo many mirrored reactions. What a movie. Very animated reaction.

At the beginning she was so upset because of what her sister wrote, I'm not sure if you noticed it (you didn't seem to). She wrote, "I can't anymore. Everything's black. Mom and dad are coming too. Goodbye."
