better sequels? for me they’d be Shrek 2, The Dark Knight, Winter Soldier, and Spider-Man 2 😮‍💨🙌🏼

I enjoyed this film as well, though I also think it wasn't as good as the first for me. Needed more cuteness lol. I think this film maybe had some more funny moments though and more action I guess. These films definitely feel like they would be comfort films I think I am down with your Nightfury theory for the next film. Maybe Toothless' family are still alive and they will make something out of him choosing between them and Hiccup. They said Toothless was the same age as Hiccup so it's a very young dragon, parents could easily be alive still. I imagine part of the next film will be Hiccup becoming or rejecting being the role of Chief. Doesn't seem like it would fit him for what he wants to do and be.

I've always loved the parallels between Toothless and Hiccup in these movies. With their injuries in the first film, and with Hiccup becoming chief in this one while Toothless becomes the alpha. I've reached the point where I tear up just thinking about upcoming scenes in these movies. And I actually think this is my favorite of the trilogy, though I love them all very much and I do miss the relationship building between Toothless and Hiccup in the first film.
