I can't wait for the next few episodes as there is so many possibilities to have a heart attack lol.

This felt like the calm before the storm and I hope I am not wrong..

I just knew he was going to skip over the special ending theme for this episode. Haha.

I guess there wasn't a crazy amount of stuff in this episode. As you said, felt a bit like the OVA or some S1 stuff. The fun and calm before the incoming storm was the point really, the contrast of what will be. I guess it's somewhat common before a war or mission to give the troops a good meal and uplifting mood. Was nice to see almost all the characters in one place again and not in battle. I really enjoying this S3 Part 1 section though. I think it finally delivered in giving us so many backstories and explanations for key plot points, as well as creating more questions of course. It might not have been very action packed compared to other seasons but I think the pause on action and heavy on information added a lot to the show.

This comment is not necessarily related to this ep but to those before, but I am just commenting it here because I watched them all in a row: Levi and Mikasa are not brother and sister. We saw Mikasas parents in earlier episodes (season 1), her mother is asian and her father is from the Ackermann clan. For Levi, his Mother Kuchel is from the Ackermann clan (Kennys sister) and we dont know his father. So yeah they are obviously related through their Ackermann heritage, but not brother and sister. For the titan serum that Kenny stole, because you seemed to be confused about the might of the founding titan/the titan of the Reiss family: The spinal fluid serum only makes you transform into a „dumb“ titan if you inject it. (Note here: Rod didnt inject it properly; he licked it from the ground. This was the reason why he transformed into a… absurd, abnormal looking titan, because he didnt inject it properly. Also they said the serum vaporizes when making air contact, you can actually see the serum vaporizing on the ground already when Rod licked it, it wasnt all gone then). Since the Founding Titan is a mighty Titan „wielded“ by a titan shifter, you can only get its powers by eating the host. The founding power has nothing to do with the Serum of the Reiss family. Grisha ate Frieda/the founding titan and became the host of this power, and since Eren ate Grisha, he now carries the founding titan within him. So the Founding titan has nothing to do with Rod, or the Serum :) Sorry if this explaination was unnecessary haha, you just seemed to be a lil confused (its a lot of detail and information when you first watch it tbh)

Are you ready to see one of the best seasons of any animated series out there?

No need to watch the last scene in the outtro imo. Also I'd suggest skipping the intro in the next episodes.

Iris

The next episode is the start of part 2 of season 3 , which came out a year afterwards originally. It has a different intro and I'd highly recommend skipping it if you are weary of spoilers, because it definitely has some if you're looking at the details of what it is showing.

Season 3 Part 2 is my favorite season by far! I honestly can't wait to see your reactions! You need to watch more than 3 episodes a day, seasons 3-4 are so good!! haha

Angie H.

haha I just binged his past six aot reactions so I’ve been leaving comments trying to clarify things to him too 🥲😂 when he said “why isn’t he reacting… SHE’S YOUR SISTER” that just caught me so off guard that I couldn’t stop laughing

Angie H.

PRO TIP only listen to/skip the intro of this next part of the season if weary of spoilers… the whole thing is literally just scenes of the climax of the season 🥲💀 also, fyi, Season 3 Part 2 aired a whole year after this ep we just watched

Not much in this episode, but it was nice to see the characters just hanging out and having fun. They haven't had much opportunity to do that since season 1. I'm really glad I don't have to wait ages for season 3 part 2. I see mixed opinions from people who have watched further on whether to watch the post-credits scene, so I'd rather be careful about spoilers and not watch it. As for season 3 part 1 as a whole, it was really good. It delivered a bunch of backstory that changes everything I knew about the show and it has enough connections to things carefully placed and hidden in early season 1 to prove it was intended from the start.

My bias is towards not watching trailers and teasers so I would probably say this anyways, but the post-credit scene to me is just equivalent for a teaser trailer to market you to really want to watch the next part which would air some 6 months+ later. Since you are going to watch the next episodes days or weeks after, isn't really necessary. It is a pretty cool post-credit though so you can go back and watch it after you have finished S3 part 2 if you want. Fully agree that this part of the season gave so much backstory and information. Far more than Season 2 gave.

Thanks for the info. If I was going to wait several months, I'd definitely watch it. But only see disadvantages in watching a trailer for something I'm going to start watching very soon.
