something about nates presence on screen makes me absolutely HATE him but it’s so conflicting cuz in interviews irl he seems so nice lol but i’m pumped for season 2. saw the first episode then decided to wait and binge it

It’s hard to say who is my favorite per say, since all of the characters have something they need to overcome (some to the point that they’re unlikeable *cough* Nate *cough*). The character I relate to most is Kat (body dysmorphia/seeking validation in others). However, even though she’s owning her figure, she still has self worth issues. Hence, all of the randoms she’s sleeping with (nothing wrong with an active sex life lol, you can just tell there’s still unresolved issues behind it). These are the types of lessons you learn with age/ once you’re out of the toxic bubble that is high school, when you really develop as your own person as opposed to conforming to others. Therefore, I have hope for her going into the next season (as I do for most of them… we live for character growth 😌)

Season 2 gets more darker and characters decision making more questionable

The sountrack though <3 <3 (Seb's dance moves lol) Also: Zendaya's and Jacob's acting was incredible this ep. The rest of the cast too, don't get me wrong, but like: Nate's breakdown? breathtaking. Rue's relapse in interpretive dance? spectacular

Three of my favorite scenes: When Maddy calls out Nate's sexuality and says it's a spectrum and she subtly shows she's an ally <3 When Nate fights his dad, he looks in the mirror and sees himself as a victim which is why I think he goes crazy. Great insight into Nate's trauma When Rue gives no fucks and confronts Nate about his BS. You can tell that Nate can't get to her because Rue is just as self-destructive as he is. Which is why he tries another form of intimidation with the whole "You look beautiful" comment.
