Soooo good. Ugh, it's almost torture waiting every week for 3 episodes, lol.

We should keep doing three a week until 3x15, then only The Southern Raiders (3x16) and The Ember Island Players (3x17) in one week, followed by the four-part Sozin's Comet (3x18-21) in the final week. This way each of the two two-parters (3x10-11; 3x14-15) will also be watched in the same week.

I watched ATLA as a kid but I didn't religiously see every episode and I don't remember watching the last season at all back when it first aired. Probably 'cause we didn't have Nickelodeon because it cost and the series aired randomly on my country's cable channel. I watched the series in 2018 for the first time fully and I vividly remember my jaw dropping when they revealed Zuko's other grand grandfather. God, I love this show to death, it is my absolute favourite and I can't get enough of it.

I really did enjoy watching these when they came out. I was 11 and was hooked the very first day they aired the first episode, I couldn’t wait for it to be the next week after every episode, it sucked having to wait for the next seasons too. This show specifically meant so much to me, my cousins and I bonded over it. Tales of Ba Sing Se and Appa’s Lost Days hold a special place in my heart. I started watching you when you reacted to the Harry Potter series and those also hold a special place in my heart. Now you’re watching ATLA and I couldn’t be any happier, so glad you’re enjoying these and it’ll be a bittersweet day when you’ve concluded the last episode. Hope you have a nice week, and I’ll be here next Saturday 💕

Idk if u noticed but the scene between zuko and iroh although iroh was in a cell, the camera perspective kept making it as if it was zuko who’s locked up symbolizing his struggle. Also the first scene where roku trips because of the tree, sozin helps him then let’s him fall foreshadowing the ending :(

Also it’s mako not mako U figure it out^^😂

Honestly you’re completely right. I watched avatar with my dad growing up, and even now, even though we have a strained relationship, I always watch it because it reminds me of when times were simplistic. I also always binged it in college because nothing else makes you get warm fuzzy feelings other than Avatar. I would highly recommend watching Korra, it’s so good, and all the characters are aged up so it’s a bit more mature.

This episode sets up such a wild context for this show, both for the episodes that are still to come and the episodes before it. This one reveals that technically Zuko and Aang are related. If not strictly in terms of blood and genetics then definitely through spiritual/ancestral lines. And when you consider that, and go back and watch previous episodes, it clarifies so many subtle parallels that have been drawn between them this whole time. It’s outstanding writing.

Firelord Sozin is voiced by Ron Perlman. He does a lot of voice over work. probably just as famous for being in "Sons of Anarchy" and he was Hellboy in "Hellboy" lol

I also though of korra being Tenzins 'dad' but i cant believe i never thought of aang being zukos grandfather
