the legend of korra after you finish this series? It takes place on the same world as avatar the last Airbender, years after these events.

This episode was a clever way to recap the series before the big finale next week. -“Did Jet just die?” -“You know, it was really unclear.” 💀

I love how the play kind of makes fun of some stuff surrounding the show. Like how many fans thought the episode "The great divide" was boring - so they just fly past it in the play, the thing with Jet dying or not being so unclear, and the romance between Katara and Zuko in the play referencing the popular ship in the fandom (among other things)! It also has the line "my name is toph because it sounds like tough" which is gold.

This episode will never not amuse me

For Korra, I would 100% go into it with an open mind, and do NOT compare it to ATLA. It's very different, in EVERY possible way. ATLA is always going to be superior, but Korra is a lot more mature with hard-hitting storylines and characters. Korra is a story about the avatar becoming human, while atla is about a human becoming the avatar. It's a great show and I personally connected with it a lot more. i hope you love it whenever you decide to watch it (:

Muzyk

I agree with Jordan. Korra is completely different in tone and story. For context, the team had to basically get every season greenlit separately. While it can create some chaotic tempo shifts; it allows for more range. I hate to admit ATLA is superior, because that's what brings us into the world, but Korra helps keep our minds open to receiving more and showcases how the world can be expanded upon.

If you watch Korra, I'd say that season 2 is probably the hardest to get through. But season 1, 3, and 4, are really worth the watch. Not perfect, but there is a lot worth watching if you want to continue seeing more of the Avatar world.

Nick

Definitely watch Legend of Korra! It's an amazing show because the animation was beefed up, it has beautifully choreographed fights, and some of the themes are very mature and powerful

Ive never seen this show before, I started watching it on your youtube channel, I watched the first season and then loved it so I decided to become a Patreon and watch the full show with you for the first time for weeks now, I can't belive next week it will be the end and yes I can just watch the final part myself right now but I am so much prefering watching it with you each week and I hope I can do the same with Korra

Probably my favorite clip show of all time tbh.

The episodes after the day of black sun are all very good, but definitely feel a little off with regards to the overall season pacing. There honestly just isn't that much story left to tell. They definitely could have (and probably should have) included some more buildup to the lion turtles, energy bending, and the whole Aang not wanting to kill Ozai thing in these episodes, but instead they went for more of a breather before the finale, which I still think worked well, especially since all of these episodes aired in the same week.
