The movie disturbia is along the same vibe as this. Not as funny, but not terrifyingly scary either. More suspense! Could also watch The Call with hallie berry, Kristy, final girls, the craft (original) ready or not or it follows. All either have bits of comedy or are more in the semi thriller department as opposed to just scary.

i also always use this movie as an example when people say megan fox can't act. clearly she gets typecast in roles that don't require much acting, but the sacrifice scene proves she can act her ass off when given an intense scene like that
