IHYD discord gaming! (Patreon)

Yesterday Larry and I (Lynch) had a blast gaming in our discord using Spelltable. I know some of you are excited to play but worried about making Spelltable work. Larry finally got his first taste of playing on spelltable. It does take time to get the configuration set up. Be it on your phone, or laptop or tablet etc… but after that 15-20 minutes set up time. You will know the ways to trouble shoot to keep you gaming!!!

We are definitely excited to get more gaming popping off in the discord. For newer patrons some tips to get games going.

1. Goto the #looking for games Chat.

2. If there’s no games in progress and there’s games waiting for players. Use the @LFG to ping all the patrons who requested to have the LFG role. Which is looking for games role. This notifies them you are down to play. (If you want the role added to you a moderator can do it. Ask them.)

3. There’s another set to help get games started as well. Type in /LFG that will trigger the spell table bot to create a game set up. Once four players click to join it will then create a link to spell table. (It will also share a spectate link for those that want to watch.)

4. We then use Discord still for the audio. We pick and choose a Discord audio channel. We have many voice chat rooms set up as pods. In the #looking for games Chat we say which pod we’ll use for vocals to chat. A big reason we don’t use spell table audio is because sometimes spelltable glitches and you get kicked out. And have to log back in. This happens. If you were using spelltable audio when you are kicked out no one can hear you. But by using discord everyone can still hear you and you hear them to talk through the trouble shooting etc..

We have a great system. All of you who are afraid don’t be. Yes it might take that time to just figure it out at first. But once you do. You’ll be golden. Hope to see you playing in the discord. Larry had a lot of fun he told me he’s excited to see your different decks and cool cards as am I always.

Ayli is always having fun too and always helpful. If you do have a judge question you can @judge to ping her. She’ll obviously respond depending on her works sometimes it’s fast. Sometimes you might have to wait till she’s outta work. But she loves helping us all when she’s not hitting us for crazy X spell damage.

Also Ray has been looking to see what decks you might want him to play next on the show!! Get in the discord and tell him what you want to see him play!!!

See ya’ll in the discord!
