Thank you Lynch for the message at the end. I am still experiencing the People doing their deck's "thing" without explaining it to me, a newer player. All it does is frustrate me. And while I am sure that is the point with some players (causing "salt"), its really unfun. When it's a teachable moment I recognize how cool it actually is. I hope this resonates better in the IHYD community and beyond. Also justice for Kyler!!

Loved the hockey reference and teaching etc. It’s a shame people experience what you mentioned in LGSs. I learned MTG back in the 90’s. I was young and at the mercy of my group. The only cards I had were commons they had extras of and donated. That naturally steered me towards mono red goblin and aggro. All I knew how to do was blow stuff up. It wasn’t until years later and a job that I could truly enjoy the game. Long story short I learned that I loved black and exacted my revenge on all of them. They didn’t realize all that ganging up on me was only making me a stronger player. I have since kept the philosophy of helping everyone win. It’s so much more fun when everyone can.

A big reason I started this show! Lots of people would make me and my wife feel bad when we just started. We'd have precons and they would have thousand dollar decks, not explain anything and be like "I won". It's like how did you win? Can you show it? Can you teach us what you just did? NO I do this and that and win. What's this? What's that can you say the card name lol.
