———————————————————————————————————————————————

A days travel away from the capital city, Jamos party made hold for the night. They could witness the city from their elevated point.

Jamos was in his tent, fucking some pretty piece of ass they had found in the nearby village. Jamos had to wrestle the woman out of the grasp of her aging parents. Only after his guards had stepped in and dealt with the peasants had they relinquished the young woman into Jamos' care. She was enjoying it. He knew all women did…

Peasants… how he hated them…

Just because they paid their taxes they somehow felt they had rights to something. Foolish creatures.

He grabbed the girl by her hair and spanked her ass. He was about to cum. Yet another bastard born to a peasant girl. He cared not. His spawn was a blessing, and frankly she couldn’t hope for anything better.

He emptied his nuts in her, and as he finished off, he slapped he ass really hard.

“Begone, bitch!” He yelled. The girl scrambled out of bed and collected her clothes as she ran towards the tent's opening.

Cinesto came to the tent as he saw the girl run past him.

“Another escapade, Jamos?” He said with a scowl. “You sure don’t hold back. At the Castle Greenwall you sure did take your pick between his servants.”

“Oh, don’t give me that right now Cinesto.” Jamos said annoyed. “I was in need. The trip into the swamp didn’t… go as I had wished.”

“What,” Cinnesto said with another scowl. “The woman you are keeping in the swamp, an inhospitable near unlivable nest of monsters, against her will, is not willing to listen to your whining anymore?”

Cinesto saw the look change in Jamos eyes. But Cinesto had had a really long and tiring time at the Castle Greenwall. He was getting tired of his role.

“Careful, Cinesto…” Jamos said. “Even my endless tolerance can be tested by your antics.”

“My antics?” Cinesto said as he held his chest. “You are the one who are endangering the alliances that your father worked on for decades to put into place… simply because you feel like a witch from the Rock would be a better replacement than the goddess in the flesh that is your Queen!”

“MY QUEEN,” Jamos said with a high and annoyed expression, “Is as enjoyable in the sack as a bath full of leeches…”

Cinesto scowled at Jamos.

“I had no say in my marriage to her. It was all because I needed her fathers help to get backup so I could invade Halboria. I made a few children on her, she had performed her duty, and now is the time to look elsewhere for something BETTER!”

Jamos stood right in front of Cinesto.

“And Ton-Ra, is endlessly better than any other woman I have ever tried.”

Cinesto made a deep sigh…

“Sigh all you want Cinesto… but it will happen…” Jamos made a grim and evil smile.

“And look at it this way… When I cast aside the queen… you can swoop in and pick her up…”

Cinesto’s frown wrinkled.

“You don’t think I have seen how you eye her up and down…?” Jamos said. He was taunting him.

“You don’t think I have overheard you talking with her? Or had my servants be around when you caressed her hands?”

Cinesto gulped.

“Yeah, I know all about it, Cinesto…” Jamos said cruelly. “You are in love with my wife, the Queen…”

Cinesto wanted to protest, but for some reason he couldn’t.

“You want her…?” Jamos asked. “Then take her… as soon… as you help me put Ton-Ra’s ass in my bed… then you can have Ann all to yourself. And with some luck, you wont even have to picture her with me, when you finally fuck her.”

Cinesto was at the same time repulsed and… intrigued by the King’s words.

“But remember…” Jamos said. “As long as Ann is the queen… she can never be yours. So instead of all your complaints… make… it happen!”

Jamos shoved Cinesto out of the tent and closed the folds.

Cinesto stood back… looking out into the thin air…

Jamos had spoken true. He was endlessly in love with the Queen. To him she was more than just a woman… she was a goddess… his light… his reason to live… He imagined that he would take her far away from the capital city… and instead go to live in a secluded and peaceful place… just him and her…

    Perhaps they would have children.

Perhaps they would have many of them. Building a family… He was not a farmer, but he could hold some form of office in the new place they would live in… It… it would be perfect…

Cinesto silently agreed to help the king get Ton-Ra to agree with him and become his Queen… and also… begin a correspondence with Ann’s father… in order to… lay the groundwork for a queen switch without any backlash, or at least with limited backlash… and hopefully… talk about another marriage for Ann. Ann’s father was a powerful king… and Cinesto predicted it would be difficult, but… with some aid from Jamos… it might be possible.

The next day Jamos rode back into the city, with all of his cohort. His bodyguards and his closest Praetorian guard.

The people seemed even more cheerful and outright celebratory than they ought to be… he had just returned home from a hunting trip, not war…

“What’s with the peasants?” He asked Cinesto who rode beside him.

“They all look like a god had been spotted…”

Cinesto lifted his shoulders in confusion. He saw it as well. The people were acting very strange.

Jamos rode to the castle and was met by the head of the palace servants… not… his wife… oddly enough.

Jamos despised his wife, but as long as she was still his Queen he expected her to at least act like it… until he could have her replaced.

He would let that be a subject for another time.

Around his dinner, he was interrupted by none other than the Queen herself. She stood as high and mighty as ever, and with a… new spring to her step and look in her eyes that made it run coldly down his spine…

Ann walked right next to his chair and took a chicken leg from his plate and began to eat it right in front of him.

Her nerve… that was what kept him in his place. He turned in his seat and looked at her - silently telling her to explain her behavior.

Ann smiled.

She leaned down so she could whisper in his ear.

“You are to be a father.” She said coldly.

Jamos at first froze… then he laughed.

“Admitting to infidelity now, are ya?” Jamos said. “You must surely have grown tired of living, my Queen. I haven’t touched you in half a year.”

“Oh, you might wanna hold your horses, my king…” Ann retorted. “For… the father is not one you want to mess with.”

Jamos shook his head in bewilderment.

“What are you talking about?” Jamos said.

Ann swallowed another piece of chicken.

“The father of this child… Is the Sky-Father himself…” Ann said it with such confidence and security, that Jamos himself felt shocked by her words.

“The Sky-Father…?” Jamos said with a little chuckle that sounded more like a horse coughing.

“Yes…” Ann said with a smile.

“And you want me to believe that?” Jamos said with a stiff nod.

“Believe what you want.” Ann said and tossed the empty leg on his plate.

“It matters so endlessly little what you believe, oh mighty king Jamos… what matters… is that the people believe it.”

Jamos shuttered… suddenly… it made sense… The reaction from the people… they were celebrating a god had… presumably visited them… in this case their Queen… and…

Jamos stood up and Ann stood her ground. Looking him dead in the eyes with her shining blue diamonds.

Jamos scowled and looked as angry as a wounded boar.

“Do you have any proof that it was the Sky-Father who visited you?” Jamos growled. “Or is it just more tall tales spun by you and your maidens?”

“My maidens,” Ann began, “Can confirm that my door never opened, and that I never left the room for a single moment that day… that the man who ravished me in ways you could never even try to, was there in one moment, and gone in the next… without opening a single door… and as can all the guards confirm I never left the castle, and that no man ever entered my sanctuary…”

“That’s…” Jamos began… annoyed out of his mind… “That’s not proof… just… absence of it…” He snarled.

“I have the exact amount of proof that you also have for your claim of your father actually being the Sky-Father.” Ann gave back.

Jamos made a horrible face. Realizing it was the truth.

“Doesn’t matter,” He said while rage was building up. “You have broken the law of infidelity… I am throwing you out!”

Jamos marched behind her.

“-And break the law of divine fatherhood in the process?”

Jamos stopped halfway to the door.

He looked back at Ann who smiled at him. A cold and uncharacteristically cruel smile.

“Did you not see the citizens as you entered the city? The rumor has already been flying around the city… that the Sky-Father himself has blessed the Queen with his seed. It is already a reality at this point…”

Ann stood right up next to Jamos.

“If you throw me out… harm me, or in any way shape or form… lay a hand on me or… replace me… as I know you have been scheming to… then your own people will rise up against you…”

Jamos could hear his own heartbeat pump in his ears.

“I will just strangle the resistance out…” Jamos said. “I’ve done that before… I can do it again…”

Ann shook her head. “Back then the population was on your side… only a fraction was against you… this time… the people who are against you are much higher… the entire city hates you… but they love me… and your praetorians will be like grains of sand against the tide of the people.”

Jamos knew she was speaking the truth… he was not popular with the peasants… truly he had never been or aspired to be… his strength lay in his ability to control the masses through gladiatorial games and bread… making them forget their problems.

Ann shook her head.

“I am gonna give birth to a child… a child that is not yours. And you will not lay a hand on this child. If you do… I will ruin you Jamos. And also…”

Ann grabbed his cock and nutsack in a tight grasp. He let out a groan of pain.

“You are gonna put an end to your travels to that bitch in the swamp…” Ann growled. “I can accept you messing with the servants but you are done playing pretend with that wild whore… I am sick to death seeing her halfbred children strut around in my palace…”

She released him and he grabbed himself and knelt down. She had squeezed him hard.

She smiled and then she left him.

Jamos was raging… This… wasn’t over yet…

———————————————————————-

The Dead Man’s swamp was not surprising a no man’s land. The nearest village lay several miles away from the fringes of the swamp.

The people here grew several different types of spices that could only grow around the edges of the water.

They were as close to the swamp as they dared, but they never went too close… huge monsters lurked in the waters… and when the waters grew too deep… the monsters grew ever larger.

People in the village took every precaution, but still… they sometimes one of their own to a stray beast that had ventured out of the swamp… a Swamp Croq or a Bush Panther.

Bush Panthers were huge felines that were either black or covered in rosettes that broke up their siluet. While not the largest predators, they were an annoyance… and deadly. They often jumped from trees onto their unsuspecting prey. And they killed in an unusual fashion. Most cats would bite the throat and strangle the prey, but not these… they would crush your skull with a single bite… Truly horrific.

The only good thing about Bush Panthers was that they often preferred to eat Croqs.

Swamp Croqs were a true issue to the people living near the swamps. They were big reptilian relatives to Crocodiles. Swamp Croqs that lived in the outer fringes of the swamp weren’t even fully grown… they were the juveniles… the young ones of the real monsters that lived in the center of the swamp. These beasts… they were truly horrifying.

It was said that just the sound of them snapping their jaws could deafen a person momentarily, and throw them off balance…

These monsters were known as Swamp Jaws… Gigantic, black crocodilians… standing on their legs they were easily four meters tall, and their jaws could break pretty much anything.

But as terrifying as these beasts were… they were in fact becoming more and more rare…

The Dead Man Swamp was once upon a time a part of a far larger inland delta. This delta had shrunk many many years ago, isolating every single big part of the delta into unique swamps.

The massive Swamp Jaws were at this moment the rarest of their kind. Once upon a time they were hunting larger prey that lived and foraged in the delta… but these creatures were no longer around - in this part of the world - and thus the crocodiles were feasting on much smaller animals… barely making a living.

The huge monsters, the Swamp Jaws were kept alive… by Jamos… he fed them with huge amounts of bulls and cows… making sure they were well fed… so he could cast his spells upon them every now and again to maintain his control.

If not for Jamos, these monsters would long ago have been starved to death, or forced to seek new pastures.

There was one creature that was safe from the Swamp Jaws… those… were the Demon Toads…

These disgusting and foul smelling amphibians were the size of small elephants and like the name suggested… they were the real devils among toads. They had horns and an appetite to match a demon. They usually ate mostly the giant flying insects of the swamp. But a stray buck or pig, would also make a fine meal for these big mouthed creatures. And of course… a human also fit in there as well.

The Swamp Jaws let them alone because of their poisonous glans. If they were bitten, or even swallowed… they would poison their host until they were coughed up again. These beasts were easily tied to Jamos' will. Another simple spell, and they would do his bidding. Making them excellent patrol units in the swamplands.

The Swamp Jaws and Demon Toads were not the only monster Jamos had running around in the swamp. There was also a beast he had bought for a very costly sum.

A traveler from the east had brought him an egg of a hydra. A fearsome and deadly monster, that would only obey the person who it first laid its eyes upon… that person was Jamos.

The Hydra he had kept in the palace for years, fed it human flesh, and taught it to fight off intruders to its lair.

The Hydra, a 3 headed snake with two hideous claws, nut on like those of an eagle's talons, crawled around on a big fat belly with a long lashing tail after it. It hissed and snarled at everything in the palace. Only, when it had grown big enough, had Jamos placed it in the swamp, to guard his most precious treasure…

The Hydra was now unknown of size… but it was known to snatch a poor and unfortunate fool off the roads that ran parallel with the swamps… just to remain fed.

This monster was known to exist… for people had often seen it on cold moonlit nights… traveling around the outer fringes of the swamp… hunting for food. But it always returned to its post by daybreak.

That was partially the reason why people in the region never travelled after dark. The realm was simply too dangerous. And they never dared venture into the swamp… that was a death sentence…

But…

He-Ron… he was about to enter the forbidden swamp…

He was standing just outside of the outer fringes of the swamp, looking over it from a high hill… a vantage point.

He could smell the foul odors from the swamp all the way up here… but he knew it was about to be even worse.

He had instructed Farax to remain in place, and not follow him.

Farax was a fearsome and deadly predator, but they had already seen one Swamp Croq and killed it off… it had been massive… not nearly big enough to pull down Farax, but it had been big enough to startle them both.

    It tasted delicious though.

But Farax was out of his element. He was used to huge open lands and forested areas… not mud filled swamp water. He would be too restricted and limited.

So He-Ron had to venture in alone. He had Ann’s explanation on what to find in the swamp in clear memory.

A woman… named Ton-Ra… A captive of King Jamos.

He-Ron also remembered the vision his wife had given him…

“She needs you…” He-Ron had long wondered what she meant… but… perhaps… he would finally get the opportunity to know…

He-Ron grabbed his sword… patted Farax on the head and told him to stay hidden and out of sight… hunt only boar and stag… and no howling. Farax had nodded and as He-Ron ventured into the dreaded swamp… he was soon swallowed by it’s darkness… and its endless dangers.

———————————————————

He-Ron could hardly even begin to describe the land he now traversed.

It was like going back in time. He could sense the rich animal life all around him, but the silence only occasionally broken by the distant bird call made him feel like a thousand eyes observed him… Which they probably did.

He-Ron was walking with the axe held ready. He had made a last minute adjustment to it. A leather strap that ensured it would not fall out of his hand in the unlikely case he would lose his grip.

The earth underneath him seemed to want to swallow him whole as well… At one point he stepped on dry land… the next he was waist deep in water.

As night came on his first day in the swamp… he realised something was terribly wrong as he sat next to his bondfire… Something was stalking him. Something big… something… dangerous. He grabbed the axe tightly. He knew exactly from where the attack would come… he could sense the body heat of the animal that lurked on him… He could sense that it was hungry… it had been eying him out for hours… not sure when to charge.

He-Ron decided to goat out the creature… he stood up, and turned his back to the place he knew the animal would come from. The moment he squatted down, there was a loud horrifying scream and the sound of running feet.

He-Ron spun around axe in hand and as he jumped aside he saw a pair of huge long stalky legs that ended in a set of huge claws.

At the base of the legs there was a round fat body covered in something he first mistook for jagged fur… but he soon realised it had to be a form of feathers… For the creature he was now facing, was a huge bird of a kind. On a long neck sat a huge head, and that head seemed to be mostly beak… a huge sharp eagle like beak, but bigger, much bigger… clearly built to break bones and crush bodies of smaller creatures… like him.

The animal was huge… standing over 10 feet it was a giant of a bird. It had run into a tree at full speed, but this seemed not to bother it too much. It let out louder sounds and in true bird-like fashion, it bopped its head and switched and twitched as it looked at him.

He-Ron lifted the axe as he was ready to fight the huge and incredibly ugly bird.

The bird seemed to be fascinated by He-Ron’s stance… perhaps it wasn’t used to see its prey stand its ground. The bird lifted what little wings it had and made a sort of display… perhaps to scare He-Ron. It didn’t work. He just smiled.

“I hope you taste better than you look, birdy…” he said with a snarl.

The bird attacked again with breaknecking speed.

He-Ron however stepped aside, and with one long swoop of his axe, he separated the ugly head off the grotesque body of the bird.

Later that evening, he feasted on the massive leg of the bird.

It was delicious. Tender and tasted like nothing he had ever eaten back home. As he leaned back against a rock, he went to sleep on a full stomach…

The next morning he walked deeper into the swamp… meeting all sorts of disgusting creatures on his way. Centipedes the size of sheep and spiders the size of dogs. All of it he killed with his axe. Annoyances.

At the end of the second day he had only seen most of the monsters in the swamp, but not really fought it yet… It was as if the bird from last night had been a test from the swamp… an early assessment of his power… and now… it was plotting its next move. He-Ron had the strangest feeling that the swamp was closer to being a single entity than an environment containing multiple different things.

As the night creeped in, He-Ron started to look for a place to rest… and… that was when he felt something strong, slimpy and cold grab his back from behind and pull him hard backwards.

The next he knew… it was all dark… and he was being squashed by a slimy and disgusting feeling…

————————————————————

A Demon Toad had lashed its tongue and grabbed him as he had turned his back to a pond of water.

It had bursted out of the water with huge speed and grabbed hold of him.

It gulped him down… Looking mighty satisfied…

The Toad was seemingly ready to waddle back into its pond but… something… something was clearly wrong… the huge toad… opened its mouth… again and again… looking like it was gagging.

It was… trying to… throw up…

But just as the toad seemed ready to burst… a blue glowing blade stuck out from its back and was pulled back in… again and again until its skin and flesh was so destroyed that… He-Ron could crawl out of the back of the disgusting beast.

He grunted and gasped for fresh air… and then he crawled out of the now dead toad. He kicked the body back into the pond… where it bled out, belly up…

“Disgusting creature…” he snarled. Wiping goo off his beard with his hand.

———————————————————

The third day wasn’t much better. He finally came face to face with a Swamp Jaw… no… not one… 4 huge Swamp Jaws that encircled him and seemed to want to get a piece of him.

It was as if the Swamp now upped its game… to get rid of him. It sent its biggest and baddest after him in order to get the job done. But sadly… it was not the overkill one could have thought. Any other man might have fallen easily, but alas, not He-Ron. He slew the big crocodilians one by one and left their huge bodies to rot in the swamp. He pulled a tooth from each of them and added them to his growing collection.

By the fifth day, he had slain nearly a dozen of the huge Swamp Jaws.

As the seventh day passed… they were effectively extinct in the swamp. Their bodies were now food for the entire ecosystem…

He-Ron kept moving through. Here and there was another Swamp Jaw that attacked him, but he was too fast for the big beasts… they tired easily, and as soon as he got on top of them, he jammed his sword directly down between their eyes and penetrated their brain… instantly killing them…

That night… he thought he heard something… a voice singing… a woman’s voice… that sang… a most beautiful and wonderful sound in this horrid place.

But as the ninth day passed… a darkness fell over the part of the swamp that he was in… he was in the water… holding his sword ready… it was glowing blue… brighter than ever… as if to warn off any would be predator that death would come to all who crossed it. He-Ron felt the cold air around him… he felt the water’s pressure against his body… he felt that something was about to happen… something… any… moment… now…

Plup!

He-Ron was dragged under water in a split second. He used his sword and swung it around his foot, and he felt it cut through something… he was free and he stood up through the water…

He heard screaming from 3 different heads… he shook his head and saw 3 giant, snakelike heads scream at him… obviously in pain…

He-Ron snarled. He had never seen a Hydrea before, but he didn’t care. He was not gonna be stopped now.

The hydra attacked… all 3 heads at once. He-Ron swung his blade around and made cuts to the hydras heads, but the creature backed away every time he made a swing. The showed him their huge teeth, and showed them his blue blade.

Man and Monster…

Locked in deadly standoff.

Then… out of the blue… another head attacked from the back… He managed to jump to the side, and with one swoop, he cut the head off. The Hydra screamed again, and as it did, two more heads showed up.

He-Ron saw the heads rise, and now… 5 heads were standing in front of him… hissing and snarling.

He-Ron shook his head in disbelief… what was this preposterous thing?

Two of the Hydra’s heads attacked, and he cut off both of them… and as he did… 4 new heads arose, ready to attack…

“Oh shit…” He finally understood… the more heads he cut off the more heads it would grow…

He switched tactics. Evading all new attacks he decided to attack the body. Since losing a head meant nothing to this beast, its weakness had to be its body.

He crawled through the mud towards the body, fending off the heads with his sword.

He sometimes had to cut off another head that attacked… with the result that two more arose to take its place…

It was an exercise in futility.

Soon the beast had so many heads… it was actually counterproductive to its purpose. The heads began to bicker among themselves, and he could in fact move a little easier. And finally he reached the body of the beast, and stuck his sword so deep inside of its guts that only the hilt was left.

The scream from the numberless heads was nearly unbearable. Fortunately… as life left its body, it soon stopped and the beast was silent… it collapsed under its own weight and the swamp was filled with complete tranquility…

He-Ron sat on the slain body, and caught his breath… the battle had been a difficult one… had he not been nine days in the swamp, he might have been better at beating the thing, but he was feeling tired…

He slid down the body… and… he realized… that… the hydra… had managed to bite him in his left arm…

It looked nasty… and a pain was rising from it… stinging…

Halborians were immune to pretty much all venoms in the world… but… they would still hurt like hell… and… he wasn’t really sure that this creature was of this world…

He could not linger… he still had to find… her…

———————————————————————————-

The tenth day passed in a blur of pain and visions… he kept walking through the swamp… for the first time in his life… He-Ron felt… sick…

The wound the Hydra had given him was just one of many he had sustained in here. Spider bites… the toad that swallowed him… all seemed to cause an untold damage to his natural defences.

But his Halborian nature forbade him from giving up.

Once again he fell onto his belly and right down the mud… he was so exhausted that he couldn’t get up right away…

Darkness crawled in… he… he wanted so badly… to go to sleep…

As his eyes closed… for what could very well have been the last time… a voice called out to him.

“She needs you…”

His eyes opened… and he saw the face of Hela-Ana… she was smiling at him. She stood in the cavelette where he had claimed her so many years ago… next to a roaring fire and more beautiful than anything else.

“You are the Unstoppable!” She said to him… “You and you alone… can free her… She needs you… Get up… Get up!”

He-Ron’s eyes closed… and as he did, his real eyes opened… and he growled as he pushed himself out of the mud.

“GET… UP!” He snarled at himself, and then he continued on…

Still sick and still weak, he came to a part of the swamp… that somehow seemed… less… uninviting and more… more like the land that had been around the swamp… greener, less wild and… far more welcoming… There were fields here… fields of crops and plants that were clearly kept… kept by a human.

There were small dug out moats to help water flow, and this had formed a greener area, as the tree’s had either been removed or never been here… causing more sunlight to hit the soil… making opportune conditions for the plants.

He-Ron stayed in the shades of the tree line, observing the area in front of him… He could see a hut… a hut in the center of this little open garden in the middle of the swamp. The hut was built up next to a huge tree, the only one standing in this opening in the swamp.

He-Ron was not sure, but he had a feeling that he had found what he was looking for. But he was so endlessly tired…

He leaned against a tree… and took a nap…

When he woke up it was to the sound of the voice… the voice that he had heard a few times before… the voice… that sang in the swamp… He looked forward… and saw… through the trees… a woman… a woman standing in the clearing… She was holding a sort of basket on her left side of her body, down by her hip. It was filled with different fruits.

The woman was seemingly completely naked, and… He-Ron was not sure if she was real or not… for something that beautiful could very easily be a fiction of his imagination.

Her skin was tanned gorgeously brown and her hair was a huge curly brown mane.

Her body was the epitome of beauty and delicious womanly forms. As carved out of every man’s most wonderful dream.

She turned to look into the place where Ron stood… hidden in shadows. He-Ron saw her eyes… teal green and shining. Her body was not the frail womanly figure of leisure and careless life that Queen Ann had. But a body that was athletic and seemed to be used to a life of work and hardship… but her ass was plump, as was her breasts… they bore witness to at least one childbirth… but it only made her look like a real woman.

She was adorned with bracelets and a necklace made of colorful stones. Primitive but decorative.

From her ears dangled the teeth of the hydra.

He-Ron saw her approach him. He-Ron’s eyes flew down between her legs… it was just nature that forced his eyes…

She had a bush unlike any he had ever seen before. It was the same color as her mane, and just as curly.

He forced himself to look back up at her eyes.

Her face… it was so kind and… it was so beautiful. While she seemed to have the body of a woman who had several decades on her back, her face and overall look was more akin to that of a young 20 year old. There were no wrinkles or marks of time or hardship.

The only marks on her body… were some scars here and there… marks of pride, as Halborians called them. They were at random places… some over her shoulder, some on her thighs… even some on her massive tits.

He-Ron looked into her eyes… She was still smiling.

“Hello… Is someone in there?”

He-Ron didn’t answer her… He… he wasn’t sure of anything anymore.

“Did you… Are you the one who slew the beasts of the swamp?”

He-Ron nodded. He noticed.

“WOW… I thought no man alive possessed the skill to slay those monsters… Are you coming out?”

He-Ron didn’t answer. He wanted to but… the Swamp had left a mark on him…

“Please?” The woman said with such a sweet voice that He-Ron felt his heart melt.

“I wish to thank my savior… and reward you appropriately… if I can…”

He-Ron took a deep breath… and stepped out into the light…

He was only about a head taller than the woman… but she looked at him like he was a giant.

She smiled at him at first… but then… as he felt how the earth approached his face… he saw her expression shift… as the last thing… before he passed out…

—————————————————————————

He-Ron was swimming in an endless sea… floating… weightless and without direction or purpose…

All he felt… was complete comfort and peace…

If this was death… it was so nice… he thought.

But something deep inside of him, told him death would be less like this and more… something else… this… however nice it was… was only just a dream…

It had been a long time since he had slept this deeply and peacefully.

He was engulfed in tranquility… a tranquility that was breaking off bit by bit… by his brain… that was slowly working off the shrouds of the darkness that had covered his mind. He opened his eyes… He was in a dark room… in a hut… for a short moment… his mind played a cruel trick on him… He thought for a moment… that he was… back home… in his hut… the hut he had shared… with Hela-Ana…

But his wonderful dream bursted nearly instantly when he heard the sounds of a woman’s humming.

He turned his face to the right… and he saw the light from a fireplace. And he saw a womanly figure on her knees by the fireplace… clearly cooking something that smelled incredible.

He-Ron was about to lift himself up on his elbows… but his body still ached and hurt whenever he moved.

His failed attempt made him groan in pain, and that made the woman behind him stop humming and slowly turned her face towards him. She smiled at him.

“Oh thank all the gods… you are awake… then I suspect you will survive…” She said with a giggle.

She poured a good bowl full of stew up and she came towards He-Ron.

His sight was still blurry, and he focused on her as she sat down right next to him.

He remembered her… she was… the woman he had seen in the clearing… He-Ron’s eyes were glued to her face… she was… so beautiful… He had never known that women could be so beautiful.

Hela-Ana had been beautiful for sure, as had Queen Ann, but this… This was something where Ron nearly imagined that she was more than just human.

The woman turned the spoon in the bowl a few times, and then lifted it up and blew on it to cool it a bit… then felt it with her lips, and then fed He-Ron.

He didn’t hesitate, but let her feed him. But He-Ron found out that… it was… too hard… for him to chew… even the very soft and very delicious stew…

“Is it still too warm?” The woman asked as He-Ron spat it out in her hand… He shook his head, and said. “I… can’t chew it…”

“Oh…” she said. She then gulped it into her own mouth and started chewing it… she then placed her mouth over He-Ron’s mouth and he received it… and swallowed it…

She did it with the entire bowl… and a second one… and a third one… until He-Ron was full and just needed to sleep.

He looked up at her… feeling something he had not felt in so many years… Warm and sincere gratitude… He thanked her… and… he felt a tear run down his cheek…

She simply smiled at him and leaned down to give him a kiss.

“For the rest of my life… I am in debt to you, my hero…” She said with a kind and warm glow in her eyes.

“May I please ask what your name is?”

“I…” He-Ron said. “I am He-Ron…” A drowsy feeling came over him… he wanted to say of the Unstoppable Tribe… but all that came out was: “…The… Unstoppable…”

And then… he fell asleep…

The woman… whose name was Ton-Ra smiled and took the liberty to check the wound on his arm… She had spent hours and hours on cleaning it, and many more. She had recognized the foul stench of Hydra-venom… and she was immediately impressed.

Hydra-venom was easily the most dangerous venom in the world. Even Basilisk venom fades in comparison.

To touch fresh, unthinned Hydra-Venom with your skin is literally a death sentence.

But to survive a Hydra’s bite and live to tell the tale… that was beyond amazing… that was legendary.

“You truly live up to your name, He-Ron the Unstoppable.” She said with a smile as she covered the wound again. She had spent a long time cleaning the wound, letting some special leeches suck out the venom and then tossed them to the fire. Then she had poured fresh water that had been boiled on the wound and cleaned it with some special herbs. Then closed the wound with stitches and recited some healing spells over it to be safe.

The wound looked well.

She smiled. She had perfected the art of healing by now.

Ton-Ra lifted up in the blanket that covered He-Ron and snuck in next to him. They were a little packed… but at least they were warm. And she had been alone so long, that the feeling of being packed up in her own bed was a dream come true.

Ton-Ra was not at all afraid. A man who was willing to traverse the entire swamp and face off some of the most horrible creatures known to man, just to get to her… was a man of true worth. She cared not for his intentions… even if they were to end her life… she would allow him to do so if that was his wish… he had earned it.

But somehow… she felt… that was not his intention.

She snuggled up to him, and like that… they fell asleep… together.

———————————————————

He-Ron slept for 2 whole days… he woke up twice… to relieve himself, and to eat. Ton-Ra helped with both.

Only on the third day… did his strength return to him. He was finally able to sit up, and he was able to chew the food himself. He woke up and found a bowl of stew right next to him. He took it and emptied it, relieved that he was able to chew again… What on earth had happened to him?

He stood out of the bed, and with just a little effort, he got to his feet. Realizing that he was naked. He looked around and found his belt and loincloth on a stool.

They seemed freshly washed.

He got dressed and looked around the hut… and there he found a door. The entire hut seemed to have been made from a form of clay and wood. Sturdy and meant to be in one place all the time.

He-Ron pushed the door open, and got outside. The sun was beaming down and the sky was blue. The hut was at a somewhat elevated position in the clearing of the swamp. It was looking out over a huge place filled with all sorts of growing plants that seemed to be neatly tended. He barely recognized any of them… but some he did. Onions and corn, potatoes and cabbage. But so many others were without names to him.

His eye caught a movement in the fields, and he readied himself… he was used to some predators lurking in the high grasses, and he had not forgotten where he was. He moved to get a better view, and moved in between the plants. And with one huge burst of speed he ran into the creature in hiding and knocked it to the ground with him on top.

He-Ron looked down and… he saw… the woman that he had seen… in the clearing… the woman who had taken care of him.

She looked surprised and perplexed… but a teasing smile rolled over her lips.

“Well… good morning to you too…” She said with a smile.

“Is this how your kind greets each other? Because I like it…”

Her legs closed around his flanks.

“And good to know that you are feeling strong again.”

He-Ron got to his feet and helped the woman up too.

“I am so sorry, I… I thought…” He-Ron felt embarrassed. “I thought there was a wild animal in the bushes and…”

He-Ron noticed… the lady was naked. She looked at him with a kind and gentle smile.

“Uhm… Ton-Ra of the Rock… I presume…” He-Ron said. Ton-Ra nodded her head.

“Indeed.” She said with a giggle. “And… You are He-Ron the Unstoppable I have been told…”

He-Ron looked a little confused. Who had told her that?

His facial expression had to give Ton-Ra a clue about He-Ron’s confusion.

“You have spoken a lot in your sleep, my dear.” She said as she dusted off her legs and backside.

“I have caught a few hints of where you are from, and where you have been… but I can’t say I know everything about you… or why you are here of all places.”

She stood up straight and shook her huge mane to get the dust out.

She then looked at He-Ron.

“Why are you here, He-Ron?”

He-Ron sighed. This was something he wasn’t really sure how to answer.

“I… I was told to go here…”

Ton-Ra looked even more surprised. And even concerned.

“Told…?” Ton-Ra repeated. “By your worst enemy, I assume… Because you don’t tell a person to enter this place, unless you don’t ever want to see them again.”

“I was told to go here… and help you.” He-Ron replied.

That made Ton-Ra pause.

“Really?” Ton-Ra said, and He-Ron nodded.

“Not that I don’t believe you… or the genuine spirit of your quest… and not that I don’t appreciate your effort… but… why?”

He-Ron shook his head and shrugged. He found a rock outside of the fields and sank down on it.

Ton-Ra removed her basket and walked over to He-Ron and started inspecting his wound.

It was fully healed.

“Remarkable.” She said with a fascinated tone.

“What?” He-Ron said.

“I have never seen a person heal so fast from a Hydra bite…” Ton-Ra said. “That being said, I have never heard about anyone living after a Hydra bite. They are easily the most venomous creatures in the world. It’s deadly just to touch the venom in its pure form. And yet you… you were able to walk… and live…”

Ton-Ra sat a little backwards and looked all over He-Ron. Then she smiled.

“You are a Halborian aren’t you?”

He-Ron nodded.

Ton-Ra smiled even broader. “I have heard tales that Halborians are immune to venoms and poisons. It might slow them down, but it doesn’t kill them.”

He-Ron didn’t say anything. He just… allowed Ton-Ra to do what she did.

“Still don’t explain why you are in here… or why you decided to come and ‘help me’… You must be either very brave… or very stupid…”

“My bet is on stupid…” He-Ron said with a sad look downwards.

Ton-Ra looked at him. She could feel his pain. This young man was full of pain and regret and he was guided… by some long and lingering feeling of pain…

“You lost someone, didn’t you?” Ton-Ra said as she sat down next to him.

He-Ron shook his head.

“I lost everyone…” He said. “My entire tribe is gone… And when I am gone… there are no longer any Unstoppables left.”

“What happened to your tribe?” Ton-Ra asked him.

“They were slaughtered…” He-Ron said. “In the dead of the night… Slaughtered… by the High King Jamos and his men…”

Ton-Ra sighed.

“I see…” She said with a nod. “I uhm… I hope not it is your wish for vengeance that has brought you here, He-Ron… for I am only a prisoner and not a friend of the king…”

“It is not vengeance that brought me here…” He-Ron said. “I was told… by… by someone dear to me… in a dream… that the daughter of the Rock was held captive in the Dead Man’s swamp… and that I was to help her free…”

Ton-Ra lifted her eyebrows. This… was completely unexpected.

“Well… I guess… that explains it a little…” Ton-Ra said. “I am not sure how much of it I am to believe but… My mother always told me that Halborians do not lie the same way that southern men do.”

“I do not even know why I am here…” He-Ron said. “I guess… I just hoped… that perhaps it would make sense… once I got here… once I…” He looked quickly at Ton-Ra. “Once I got here… But… I am not sure… Maybe it’s because you aren’t free yet.”

“Technically I am…” Ton-Ra said. “I am free to leave. The monsters are all dead. They have to be… otherwise they would have shown up here and started to attack you. There is nothing keeping me here. I just need to pack a few essentials and then I am good to go.”

He-Ron nodded.

“Where will you go?”

Ton-Ra smiled and seemed to blush.

“I… I was hoping I could tag along with you, for a while…” She said with a sweet voice.

He-Ron looked a t her like she was off her rocker.

“What? Why?”

“Well…” Ton-Ra said. “I am not a warrior, and while I have great magical powers… There are pretty nasty things out there that would love to make a snack out of me. I am protected here in the swamp, but not outside of it. And I am very sure that I am very delicious.”

“I am not in doubt of that…” He-Ron said with a giggle and a smile. Ton-Ra gently pushed his arm with her own by leaning into him.

It was strange. It felt better… just by being near her and… talking with her. Her smile was very infectious and… she was incredibly beautiful. He had never seen the likes before.

“But uhm…” He said as he forced his gaze away from her pretty face. “I am actually not really sure where to go from here.”

“Well…” Ton-Ra said. “Where did you come from?”

“Halboria… my home…” He-Ron said. “But no one there is waiting for me.”

“Then… if I may come with a suggestion…” Ton-Ra said kindly. “You could perhaps help me get home to the Rock, where I know I have someone waiting for me.”

He-Ron heard the logic in her words… and he smiled. He thought about it. It was true. He had nothing to go home to… and… he was pretty certain that… wherever this unbelievably attractive woman went… trouble was bound to follow her. Especially since the High King might not let her go so easily.

He-Ron nodded and said: “You know… I would love to… I mean… make sure you get home safe, that is!”

He didn’t understand why he was so flustered all of a sudden.

Ton-Ra beamed up in a bright smile, and then she hurled herself at him. She threw her arms around his neck and toppled him over and down from the rock, and onto the grass. She kissed him… right on the mouth with those big juicy lips.

He-Ron at first was baffled but… then he succumbed to the wonderful feeling of her kisses. Her tongue… oh her tongue was an absolute wonder of the world… her lips were so warm and soft… just like the rest of her body…

He-Ron had no idea how they got inside, but they did… and after some more heavy kissing, they proceeded to the sex…

If her kisses had been magical, it was NOTHING compared to having sex with her… that… was… beyond… all… imagination.

He-Ron quickly learned he needed not be gentle with her as Ann had craved and asked of him… no… Ton-Ra wanted him as wild and as brutal as he could be. The more he pulled and tugged and strangled her… the more she moaned and screamed and the wilder she came… at one time showering her in her squirt as he filled up her tank and her legs nearly crushed his hips.

Her eyes rolled and her tongue hang out… her tits jiggled around and clapped as she rode him like a wild braxon bull!

And what was even better… Ton-Ra was insatiable… He-Ron could fuck her for hours and hours and hours… and he felt no need to stop.

At one point he saw the sunset through her window… the next he saw the sun coming up…

When he tired he slept… but he saw Ton-Ra either sucking his cock while he rested, or she rode him gently and passionately…

And when she tired she moaned and snored in her sleep… but still clinging hard to He-Ron’s cock with her craving pussy.

    No holes were off.

After a good while of grinding her pussy, she spread her ass cheeks aside, so He-Ron could explore her ass with his cock… and that drove her even wilder. She moaned and screamed like a woman possessed and He-Ron got the hint and grabbed her huge mane and pulled hard backwards… this seemed to please her and focus herself… she now only had to cum… and cum… and cum while her ass was being turned inside out…

When Ron came he exploded and Ton-Ra fell silent… and as he let her go… she fell to the bed… and shook all over her body… making all sorts of happy sounds…

As they rested for a while they were watching each other in their eyes.

“The legends of the Halborians were more than true, He-Ron the Unstoppable.” She said as she looked him so deeply in the eyes, that He-Ron thought she was touching his soul.

“It has been so many years since I shared my bed with a handsome young man… and right now… I am so happy and warm in more than just my body, my handsome Halborian…”

She let her finger run down the bridge of his nose.

He was so beautiful.

He smiled back to her. She could see that he hadn’t smiled for a long time. But it was still a pretty and gorgeous smile. He had to be a catch… even among his own kind.

“Describe your home for me…” She said. “I have only heard the faintest of stories. They say that in the Halborian way, the woman picks the man?”

He-Ron shook his head.

“Almost…” He-Ron said. “A Halborian woman may decide she is ready to have a man… and then she can have contenders step forward to claim her.”

Ton-Ra blinked.

“And… if more than one contender steps forward? Does she get to pick?”

“No…” He-Ron said. “If two men steps forward, they fight. The winner takes the woman.”

Ton-Ra smiled a teasing smile. “Oooh, that I like… And… if she doesn’t like her new partner?”

“She can say she wants divorce after a year. And if she desires another mate after that, the former husband can’t claim her again, unless she gives him permission to.”

“Oh, so women are… equal to men in your lands?”

“Men and Women of Halboria are equal at rights and at birth. But we also accept that we are not identical. Some tasks are harder for one part, and other tasks are nearly impossible for the other. None is better. We just are…”

Ton-Ra nodded. Their people might not be the highest of scholars but they sure weren’t the dumb brutes that they often were presented as.

“Tell me about your wife.” Ton-Ra said with a warm smile.

He-Ron felt shocked. He… he had no idea how she knew that… she truly was a witch.

“You talk in your sleep.” She said. “Especially when I suck your cock, or fuck you in your sleep. And her name is so pretty. Hela-Ana…”

Her smile faded a little.

“Is she also gone?”

He-Ron nodded.

“Yes… she is…” He said while looking into her eyes. Somehow… it didn’t hurt so much saying it to Ton-Ra. She… she had a way… to make it feel so… distant… Like it wasn’t really his pain… but someone else’s.

Ton-Ra smiled.

“Was she beautiful?” She asked.

He-Ron nodded with a smile… somehow… he felt… happy…

“She was gorgeous. She had this long hair that shined like gold in the sun. And she had this fair creamy skin that turned brown… almost as brown as yours the first days of spring when the sun kissed her. And she was so… so headstrong and… she had this fiery temper… hehehehe… oh man… she was a storm on a summer’s day.”

Ton-Ra smiled broader.

“How was your sex life?” She asked. “Did she let you do everything you wanted?”

“She sure did.” He-Ron said. “We fucked all the time. Every single day. When we had work we would each skip for a few moments, and rush over to the other and jump each other and then rush back to work.”

Ton-Ra giggled and looked at He-Ron with a warm smile.

“She sounds like she was a hoot.” She said. “A shame I never met her.”

He-Ron nodded.

“You were kinda similar.” He said. “Not in looks but… you… you sorta have the same feeling about ya.”

Ton-Ra blinked and turned her head sideways.

“Feeling?” She said. “Like an aura or something?”

“I don’t know…” He-Ron said. “Maybe it’s just me… Or maybe I am just talking nonsense out of my beard…”

He rubbed his face and… immediately frowned.

“Da heck happened to my beard?”

Ton-Ra looked a little guilty.

“Sorry… don’t get mad… but… it was sorta filled with all kinds of slime and mud and… had insects… crawling in it… eeew… so… I shaved it off… Sorry… please don’t be mad…”

He-Ron laughed and shook his head.

“I am not mad, I am… just surprised it took me so long to figure it out… How do I look?”

Ton-Ra kinda shrugged.

“I don’t know… you looked like a mess when you came here… it took me hours to wash you properly… and you were really heavy to carry by the way…”

He-Ron laughed and so did Ton-Ra.

“I have a mirror if you wish to see.”

He-Ron frowned and Ton-Ra ran off to a cupboard where she had a mirror…

“It… it was a gift from… well… you know… my captor…” She said with a roll of her eyes.

“I guess he wanted me to always look presentable.”

He-Ron nodded and took the thing… And then… he looked himself in the mirror… He had seen himself in mirrors before but… they were rare… He smiled… he looked much… much younger… like a young rascal of his kin.

“Is it acceptable?” Ton-Ra asked while looking nervous.

He-Ron laughed.

“Don’t worry… beards grow back… and it was really warm here in the south.”

Ton-Ra smiled. He-Ron gave her the mirror.

“You should take that with you… it seems very practical.”

Ton-Ra smiled and stuffed it into the bag she had made.

And then, He-Ron laid back down on the bed. Ton-Ra straddled him, and guided his cock towards her pussy, and she impaled herself on his fat cock.

“Mmmmmh, Ooooh yes… That’s a cock for a woman like me…” she said while rocking it all the way inside.

“You don’t mind if I fuck you for a little more, do you?”

He-Ron shook his head.

“Not at all.”

Ton-Ra smiled and pulled a fur blanket over her shoulders.

“The swamp is so cold at night… and I have been alone for so long… it feels nice to finally have a man to share it with me.”

He-Ron smiled and she laid all the way down on him… gently rocking her body and massaging his cock.

He-Ron drifted off… and when he woke up the next morning, Ton-Ra was riding him wildly, making her huge tits jump and clap like it was a fairytale.

—————————————————————————

He-Ron counted 2 more sunrises… until the third… where Ton-Ra finally rolled off him and looked like the happiest woman in the world.

“Oh He-Ron…” She moaned. “I am following you to the end of the world… Even to Halboria should you ever decide to go back to that frozen place you call home.”

He-Ron smiled. Such a wild loving escapade he hadn’t had since his time with Hela-Ana… he sorta felt he began to understand a little of why… why her spirit had sent her to Ton-Ra… Perhaps… perhaps she had wanted him to do more than free her… perhaps… she…

“If so… then pack the last of your backpack and let’s be out of here… We leave today…”

Ton-Ra stood up and crawled out of the bed.

He-Ron looked at her. She was gathering the last stuff into a backpack of her own making. He himself got into his cloth and stood up. Ton-Ra asked He-Ron to leave the hut as she picked up a pot filled with a foul smelling liquid.

She apparently poured the liquid out on the floor in the middle of the room. She then took a torch, lit it on fire and threw it into the hut and stepped backwards.

The hut stood engulfed in flames in a matter of seconds. So did the tree that the hut was built up against.

“I have been dreaming of doing that for a very long time.” Ton-Ra said as they observed the flames and the smoke rise from the place. It made a pretty big tower of smoke.

“For more than 20 years… that place has been my prison… and now I finally get to torch it to the ground…”

She turned towards He-Ron with a smile.

“Your vengeance will come, He-Ron… And I will help you get it. But we best get out of here before the fire catches us… I have prepared for this for a long time…”

He-Ron nodded. He then took her hand… and together they made their way out of the swamp.

“Follow me…” Ton-Ra said. “I know a way out of here that will only take a few hours on foot.”

—————————————————————————————————————

Several miles away… the King, Jamos was once again at it with one of the servant girls. Fucking her like the useless piece of meat that she was.

He was trying to figure out how to get rid of the Queen… but also not risk the people’s rage.

Because… ask much as it pained him to admit it, Ann was right… she was loved by the people. And as long as he had her by his side, he had the people behind him. She would be difficult to replace… and even more difficult to get rid off… especially now… they had had a visit from the local female Priest of Delia… the goddess of fertility and pregnancies… said to be the wife of the Sky-Father.

This priestess had confirmed with her magic that the Queen was in fact pregnant… and given the stories that all her maidens had sworn on their souls were true… it was in fact the Sky-Father who had fathered the child.

Annoyed and angry as he was… Jamos had gone through several servant girls these last few days… All of this… this… foolishness had made him feel even more bold… and also… his loins ached for Ton-Ra’s perfect pussy and her tight ass again. Servant girls were like eating apples before dinner… it only made you hungrier.

He didn’t care what the Queen said… He didn’t care what Cinesto said.

He was going to the swamp the next morning, and nothing and no one was gonna stop him.

He prepared a delegation the next day. He even brought Cinesto who had been very… depressed ever since the news of the Queen’s condition.

Jamos was considering having him executed… but… just the thought of finding a replacement was even more annoying than having him alive by his side… so… lucky Cinesto…

But a punishment of some kind was possibly due… He just had to figure out the right one…

When he finally arrived at the castle that was the last stop on the road to the swamp… he noticed a glow… a burning glow… not unlike that of a sunset… but the glow came from the southeast… Not the west…

It came from… the swamp…

Horror tipped him as he spun his horse to ride faster. He rode with his delegation to the edges of the swamp… the entire thing was ablaze… the big trees were all twisting and turning under the flames…

Cinesto came up next to the king.

“This… this can’t be a natural thing…” Cinesto said. “Look at the flames… they… they are made by… some form of magic…”

“Of course it ain’t natural, you dumb fuck!” Jamos growled at him.

“It’s her… Ton-Ra… she has set the entire damn thing ablaze…”

“Do you mean…” Cinesto turned pale… “That she has…”

“NO!!” Jamos yelled. “She would never do that… Besides… she is too clever a witch to make an inferno that would harm her… No… this was her seeing an opportunity… Someone… has broken the spell I placed upon her…”

Cinesto looked at the King…

“But… in order to do so… someone… must have gotten past… all of the monsters in the swamp… including… the hydra…”

“I know.” Jamos said with a hateful look on Cinesto. “And this… is just Ton-Ra’s firework… to celebrate her grand escape… and sticking it to my face… and if she thinks for one fucking minute I will let her escape well… then she is dumber than I thought… I am never letting her get away…”

Jamos turned his horse around.

“Send out a legion to capture her!” Jamos said.

“What?!” Cinesto asked. “But… but who…? Who will lead them?”

“I know a man…” Jamos said. “His name is Dilatont. He is gonna take charge of the legion. He is back home from the Halborian Frontier.”

———————————————————

Back at the Palace Colonel Dilatont was being catered by the servant girls. He was a little tipsy, but otherwise, just happy to be home.

He had hoped to meet the king, but he had set out only yesterday for some… hunting trip or whatever… but the palace offered a good feast and fine wine even without the King.

But… to his big surprise… just as he was about to enjoy the mouth of one of the servant girls, the King came barging in and the girls all scattered.

“Y-Your majesty… I… I am so sorry… I thought that…”

“Dilatont!” Jamos said with a smile and lifted hands. “Relax… you are a guest and you are most welcome to all the holes of my servants… You have been fighting on the frontier for so long, you deserve a good time!”

The King came over and gave Dilatont a good clap on the shoulders and walked over to pour himself some wine. Dilatont was relieved. It was… nice to see the king in such a fine mood.

“How is it going in Halboria?” The King asked as Dilatont got his clothes back in order.

“Well I hope?”

“Oh it’s going perfectly well sir!” Dilatont said with a smile. “You will be happy to know that the issues in the Alba and Belba region have been solved. The monsters dealt with and handled. All thanks to your splendid troops and their courage and sacrifice!”

Jamos held his cup up to Dilatont with a smile and Dilatont raised his cup to the king.

“To their sacrifice!” Jamos said and Dilatont said: “And to you, mightiest of all Kings!”

They drank and the King gestured for Dilatont to sit down.

“What about the issue in the Celbar region?” Jamos asked. “I heard there was a situation there as well.”

Dilatont waved his hand.

"Inquiries are still coming in, and we are… homing in on the problem… but as I see it, it is as good as solved.”

“Hmm…” Jamos said. “I guess two out of three is the second best thing. Listen… Dilatont… I am so endlessly glad that you are home… because… I actually have a problem that I believe that you are just the man to deal with. See… one of my possessions have been… lost… or stolen… or both… and… I need you to go and find it.”

“Oh…” Dilatont looked a little surprised and also… worried.

“But sire… I… I am back home to rest and regain my health… I mean… Not that I am not willing but… I am only a man… not a demigod like yourself, my most holy of…”

“Enough with the praise and flattery… Dilatont!” Jamos had lifted a hand. “I am not asking you… I am telling you… but as I understand the quest might be a little… sudden for you… I also understand a man needs his rest, even after a long campaign… But if you do this to me… if you… manage… to find my most beloved item… then I will not only promote you to Supreme General…”

Dilatont blinked. “Su-Su-“ He stammered. "Supreme General…?”

“… I will also further ennoble you bloodline… by setting you up with my most precious daughter…”

The doors were opened, and a young woman dressed in the finest golden ornaments and silkes that covered the most precious parts of her body.

“Princess Bonniera… my favorite child.”

Bonniera stood still and silent. So unlike her. Usually it was impossible to get her to be silent…

“She will become your bride… and if you are already married I will personally see to that… but… first… when you capture my… ahem…”

Jamos waved his hand… a sign to Bonniera to leave… she left… with one hateful and long look at her father.

“… lost item… and bring it back… then Bonniera will be yours… and your bloodline will be tied to my own… We will be family, Dilatont.”

Dilatont couldn’t even begin to imagine his luck. He was all smiles.

“Your Majesty… it is my honor to serve.”

“Good.” Jamos said. “Upon returning my item, you are gonna be promoted… but… until now… you will have the high rank of Field General, and Commander of the Homeland Region.”

Dilatont nodded. He was just 3 ranks below the highest rank in all the empire. That was still a promotion.

“What am I to locate for you, my king?” Dilatont asked.

Jamos filled up another cup of wine, and began to tell the tale of how he once upon a time… kidnapped the daughter of the Queen of the Rock, after she had so shamelessly mocked him.

To be continued.
