Princess Dala’Eltala in short Dala. The Ice Elves are a no-nonsense kind of people. They prefer their short nicknames anytime.

Dala as a princess is quite the talker, and quite the gossip - in their lands they have so little to do in the cold winter months, except sleeping, dancing, practicing indoor activities and maintaining their winter fat levels. The Hot Springs in their lands are not only lifesavers, they are crucial to their society. They use them mainly in the depths of winter, because in summer the weather actually gets decent enough - not hot by any means, but decent.

Do not mistake the fat on these Ice Elves for a unhealthy lifestyle. While plus sized, these elves are highly agile and they are surprisingly fast. The fat storage is NOT due to an unhealthy lifestyle, but simply due to pure evolutionary selectivism in action. It is only the females who are this thicc. They are able to extract every milligram of fat in their diet and store it on their body. Again, it is NOT due to an unhealthy lifestyle, but simply due to their past biological history, where their ancestors with more fat deposits lived longer, and due to a speedrun of the evolutionary process, they became more marbled so to speak and better adapted to their cold climate.

In the warmer summer, the fat even protects the women from overheating. It creates a barrier between the warmth outside and the warmth inside of their body. As long as they take cover from the sun, the Ice Elf girls are actually well tempered all year around. This avoidance of the sun of course results in their skin being milky white, and their hair has over the years gone to become nearly silvery white on all of them. Their eyes are mainly blue. Their ears, while larger and pointy like their southern kinds, are way smaller. Again to reduce heatloss.

Ice Elves value food. They love it. Especially food from foreign lands. That is part of their cultural charm. They see the act of cooking like the highest form of art in the world. And good cooks, like our hero Ronald Dean Stoppable are basically a Rockstar in their society. Cooking for someone else is considered a very fine and very polite gesture. It is also considered the best way to make friends with strangers. It can also mean something even deeper. Like cooking for a person, can mean; I love you and want to spend every night and day with you. It is a common way to propose between Ice Elves.

Ice Elves are themselves cooks, but their lands has only few options for culinary taste. They therefore value traders as well. Especially those who trade with spices. Like Chili, Thymes and Oregano. Ron is an expert finding spices, even in places he doesn’t know, and he always has a good selection of spices on his person.

In this scene, Dala misinterprets Ron’s generosity while he cooks a nice but simple meal for her in the cave during the storm as a suggestion from Ron that they ought to be together. Dala knowing the rules and customs of her people understands the gesture of Ron as something vastly important. She looks over Ron, rolls her eyes and accepts his proposal for marriage. Ron… doesn’t of course knows what she means when she says: “Thank you, and I accept.” As he hands her a bowl of his stew.

So if you ever want an Ice Elf for a wife, learn how to cook and she is basically yours. Chili’s and hot meals are much preferred.

Fair warning, marriage to an Ice Elf means spending every night in a tight embrace to share body heat. To those of you/us who enjoy rolling around in bed, yeah… once you hand her that bowl that is gone. She is gonna cling to you, like her life depended on it - to be fair, in their lands… it sometimes does.
