The lioness in the wolf’s den. Filling it to the brim with golden wolves.
I dunno. Maybe I don’t have that much against this particular alternate version of events. Maybe it is because it is alternate. To be honest with you all, I dislike the show for a ton of reasons - the main part because it doesn’t stick to the books as diligently as it should have. And also because… the show portrays human nature in a very illogical way. Also… all the betrayal… it gets old, really quickly… for me at least.
Again, I understand why some people love it. Trust me, I get it.
But this alternate universe has me intrigued, as it gives me a chance to work with my two favorite characters from the show and… I love when the hero transforms the villainess. Turns the would be monster, into a gorgeous creature.
I think that is the reason why I have loved dragons all my life. As fierce and deadly and horrid as they are… they are also magnificent. And imagine… just imagine… if they were a source for good. Benevolence disguised in fangs and scales.
Another thing about GoT I don’t like is that dragons are basically just an allegory for nukes. The one with the biggest dragon rules the world.
But I saw you mention that Cersei gets a strong affection for Jon because she loses her first child in this alternate timeline. I guess I could see that. And it would be a welcome change of pace, and a great divert from the original story. Catlyn was well written but… in the show… I despised how… limited she was. I know… I know… she is a mother, and she is meant to think as a mother thinks, and I loved her portrayal… but the show all over was not for me.
This alternate line giving Jon a chance of motherly affection… that is absolutely marvelous.
So, thanks for the comments on the previous illustration. I might stick around with this alternate version. Having some friendly banter between Ned and Cersei.
And thank you for understanding that this is difficult for me. I loathe the show, but I admire the structure of the universe that has been built. And as I say, it is rare that I never take something good out of something that I ultimately end up disliking. There is a positive in mostly everything. You have to dig through a ton of mud to find gold.
Yours truly
