As far as I’m aware, it’s actually representative of the seed pod of the now extinct plant Silphium, which was a symbol of the cults of Aphrodite given its natural use as a fairly consistent method of birth control and purported aphrodisiac properties. Fun fact, it was also called laser or laserwort!

I loved the intro song of this character in the hercules cartoon, after realizing she was voiced (In english) by Phoebe of "friends". I kinda find her even more funny than before. Curiously she is the only version that was faithful to her husband.
