It's been some time since I made notes about the composition behind works. Some concepts I had in mind here are in the image notes.

I really dig these rough style line-art, but I haven't done many of them now that I think off. I think I should make more like this. Other images with similar line work are Zabivanka and the Braixen x Lucario series.

About the color, I took advantage of his official colors and used the contrast of the saturated yellow color of his eyes vs the contrasting blue and desaturated background to make the eyes be the first thing you look. There is also a subtle gradient of desaturated color from top left to over saturated color bottom right which make a good counter balance to her eyes.
