The Evolution of Tamashii Hiroka's Channel (and why the name changed to Tama Hero)

Your Japanese pen name was almost certainly offensive to nobody. If anything, Japanese people would find it more bizarrely "woke" and "politically correct" that you would think it might be (something East Asia is starting to make fun of white westerners for). As for the cringe bit, I find it to be charming that you kept your weeaboo 13-year-old pen name after all these years (since I lost the innocence of my "sugoi kawaii rawr x3" phase to teenage trauma). Tl;dr it's no big deal

I still can’t believe it’s been that long, I’ve been watching since just before you stopped making the rom hack videos and if I remember correctly you were in my first 10 channels that I subscribed to and one of the two channels that I’m still subscribed to since then. It’s been a great and fun journey and I’ve loved every step this channel has taken, it’s always fun to see what comes next and I’m looking forward to it all. Congratulations on such a huge milestone and know that we will be here to support you in any way we can.

From my understanding the concern was raised mostly by Japanese Americans, who would have suffered discrimination for their language or names and would find it at least annoying that I'm sitting here using a Japanese name for "fun." Not a lot of people have mentioned it to me but a few have over the years, and like I said I'd like to change it anyway, so it's NBD :)

It's funny thinking how much of your channel's history I wasn't around for when I see how many years now I've been a viewer. I arrived during the Top 10's era and it's honestly just been getting better and better since then. How can I miss Top 10 videos when you're publishing fascinating essay videos giving me new perspectives?
