Okay, here's the complete preview package including the interludes. It's probably like 40% of the book with them mostly shagging on the ship. :O But the plot will actually move forward after this. :)

I will get to work finishing the rest!

...See, as of this third interlude, I think I've figured out who the Spectre is, and that terrifies me, because I can't help but worry that the only reason that character would get top billing is if they were about to die to show how serious the situation is. And I really don't want that character to die to show how serious the situation is...

Also, I kind of agree with Cole and company. Just because, as someone with few relevant skills and no real training in statecraft, he probably wouldn't be good at the job. Though the fact that he'd be eaten alive by the factionalism in the government is also a factor. Still feel the whole humans = good, taleen = bad bit is being played a bit too pat, though I guess the fact that most aliens dislike humans for good reason was brought up two books ago.
