I wanted to take a moment to talk and share a little about myself.

Throughout the years I've been posting my artwork online, there have been times when I've really enjoyed it, and other times when it became difficult because of time and work. Besides drawing, I also have another job, so balancing everything isn't always easy.

These days, I often draw more for work than for my own enjoyment, and that has gradually made it harder to truly enjoy the process. Sometimes it even leaves me feeling like I'm not making any real progress.

When I first started sharing my art, my goal was to make every drawing as "perfect" as possible. Looking back, I think that also meant I wasn't really showing my own style.

In these images, you can see an older drawing alongside sketches I made this week. These newer ones were drawn much more freely, using a manga-style pencil and without worrying so much about perfection.

The funny thing is... when I look at these newer drawings, I actually like them. They feel natural, and I'm genuinely happy with the results. But they also remind me of how many hours I've spent stressing over making every piece "perfect" instead of drawing the way that feels most natural to me.

I constantly find myself thinking:

"Should I change my style and risk starting over from scratch?"

Or...

"Should I stick with what already works?"

Take a close look at the drawings, and let me know what you honestly think. I'd really love to hear your opinions.

I think you should go with what feels natural. Forcing perfection everytime will just leave to burnout. If you are happy with the results, I'd say you dont really lose anything by doing what is natural.

I've never realized that you were going through so much with your art. To be fair, I've noticed how cleaner your lineart became with age. I like how the newer art looks, and let's also recognize your starting point and how good those drawings were. Seeing your growth and how much your artstyle has improve, it's great to see how far you have come.

Thank you! I really appreciate your kind words. It's not something I usually talk about because I don't want to come across as being dramatic. But since this is a community, I decided to share it and hear everyone's thoughts. Over the next few days, I'll try to figure out which direction I want to take. :)
