G'Day everyone! It's been a while since I did a good old Q&A. I'm opening this one up to all my subscribers. Feel free to ask me anything and I'll reply to your comments! If you have a question you'd prefer to remain anonymous, just message it to me. I'm more than happy to response that way and post it here anonymously. I can't promise I'll be able to fully answer each question, but I'll give it my best shot.

So, with that said, Ask Me Anything!

KRich

Have you ever thought about adding images to any of your stories? Honestly I'd probably pay for a new tier if that was an option.

CattDog

I was gonna ask if you're aussie but I think I got my answer! G'day fellow aussie! My 2nd question is do you have a favourite type of tf to write about?

Camden Levy

Favorite story you’ve written this year? (That’s currently on the Patreon)

Camden Levy

Are there any stories that you were surprised got as much attention as they did?

FoxFaceStories

G'day indeed, mate! You can defintitely tell by my spelling - a lot of my stories are set in the US, including some places I've been, but I definitely don't write in American grammar accept when I write Mum as 'Mom.' Favourite TF? I'd have to say the oddly-specific TG scenario where a a man is transformed into his best friend's dream girl and eventually falls pregnant. There's a lot of fun dynamics to explore in how the relationship has changed, how resistant the transformee is, the amusing embarrassment, elements of old camaraderie, the complaints, etc. Not to mention the non-changed friend seeing their new girlfriend in a new light! Done right, it can be karmic, or fulfilling, or simply sexy and humorous.

Camden Levy

How do you decide which stories stay exclusive to Patreon and which ones to release publicly or sell on Amazon?

FoxFaceStories

Hello KRich, that's very kind of you to say, but ultimately my decision has been not to add images, and I'll explain why. I would either have to take images from real people in my life (an absolute moral no-go in my mind), or from the internet (which has a set of legal quanderies and issues that are more trouble than it's worth) or use AI (which is also a no-go in my mind). I am more than happy for people to add their own images when they download my PDFs, however! Not too hard to convert a PDF to a word or Googledoc and then add some personalised touches! Go nuts!

FoxFaceStories

You Can't Tell Him, which I believe you commissioned, haha! Also A Genie Story. I love Genie Stuff, and I love medieval and ancient history, so that was a good match.

FoxFaceStories

Yeah, the alien broodmare stuff I assumed was pretty niche when I took on some commissions back in the early days. Turns out it's got quite the audience, and I've been splashing about in that pond a bit ever since. It's not only been a semi-regular feature of commissions, but popularly voted upon as well. Who knew?

FoxFaceStories

Might just ask that you put a few questions in one response Camden, so that you don't flood the zone, if that's okay. As for Amazon kindle choices, I have my library of stories on my computer, and I generally browse through and upload the ones I think will be popular based on what has sold the last few months. Like here, the TG Preg stuff and bimbo stuff is most popular. I've found anthro stuff doesn't sell as well, so that doesn't feature so heavily.

Thar

What do you consider your worst story or a story you're unhappy about in some way and why?

CattDog

That wasn't the giveaway for me actually it was more some of your earlier works (the dingo one in particular) where there was a few specific aussie phrases that wouldn't be common outside the country I reckon. Yes I do love those types of stories from you! I'm normally a karmic fan but some of yours are pretty cute (loved the ending of the recent magical pregnancy with the son and his best friend that was sweet). I'm a trans guy myself so I do wanna take the opportunity to compliment your ftm characters! I know it's not as popular as mtf but it's nice when they're in a story!

FoxFaceStories

I'm a DC person. Always have been, ever since watching the DC Animated Universe decades ago. I'm not a Marvel fan at all, to be honest. I don't think there's a single Marvel hero I actually care about, lol. I'm not antagonistic to the universe, I just find it kind of . . . depressing. I like the more heightened, gonzo, mythic aspect of DC. My favourite superheroes are definitely the trinity. Always loved Batman, though some incarnations leave me cold when they make him annoyingly overpowerd. Superman is friendly and hopeful, and I think that's increasingly important in a divided world. And, of course, I've always been a huge Wonder Woman fan. Too many people sleep on her. The original George Perez run is a masterpiece, and the new Absolute Wonder Woman series is a goddamn magnum opus by Kelly Thompson with some of the best comic artwork you'll see. I recommend it to everyone! Other heroes I love: Powergirl, Zatanna, Guy Gardner, Blue Beetle (both Ted Kord and Jaime Reyes), Black Canary, Green Lantern (John Stewart). I'll also mention that I fucking love the webserial Worm. It's much, much, MUCH darker than usual superhero stuff, and is very long, but engaging all the way. Check it out!

FoxFaceStories

Definitely New Music in the Hood. I'm glad some people liked it, and I've had quite a few requests for sequels and epilogues, but I really felt I messed it up, haha. I didn't like how I handled the race change, I didn't like writing bigoted characters over such a dramatic length, and as someone who listens to more alternative rock and metal, I absolutely did not hit the landing on any of the hip hop stuff!

FoxFaceStories

Oh, I'll add that I'm very proud of Alien Life, but really wished I'd given more time for the ending to breathe.

Camden Levy

What’s your favorite aspect of writing? Whether tg or just in general. You’ve written a few anime based stories so I’m curious do you watch any anime and if so what’s your favorite? On a similar note I know you play some video games so what kind do you like to play? On the opposite of another question I asked, are there any stories you wish got more attention than they received? Dumb question from a story that hasn’t released yet but have you gotten that watch of yours fixed yet?

FoxFaceStories

Thank you kindly, Cattdog! I'm chuffed to hear you say that, because obviously I run a gamut of different types of stories. Some are more karmic punishments, others more purely pornographic, and others still are very much in the trans wish-fulfilment genre, which are always sweet to write. There's a few FTM stories and the like coming up. I'm writing them more often these days and finding myself enjoying the upended tropes. And yes, there's definitely some Aussie slang that slips in without me even realising, haha. My big one is "How's it going?" which American commissioners always correct to "How are you doing?" haha.

FoxFaceStories

1. Favourite aspect of writing? Hmm, hard to say! Honestly, sometimes I am absolutely in the mode, and other days it's like pulling teeth, and it often has no relation to the quality of the commission idea whatsoever. Usually, my favourite part to explore is post-change, though. That, I think, is when the real fun meat of transformation story is. I'll also say that I most enjoy writing when the idea is unique and not something I've done a heap of times before. I was given a noir-style commission, and that was very fresh. Or the suggested poll that one with the Wishing Chain, which was a clever twist on Genie wish changes.

FoxFaceStories

2. Anime is definitely something I watched when I was a bit younger, and occasionally return to when there's something interesting, but I must confess I have to research a lot of it. I don't think I ever really watched any shonen-style stuff outside of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and that's in a league of its own. I certainly haven't watched one lick of One Piece, Demon Slayer, Naruto, etc. As for stuff I really liked: The Big-O, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Planetes (highly underrated sci-fi series), Monster by Naoki Urusawa. In terms of movies I love the Ghibli library. Your Name was fantastic too. I also adore Millenium Actress. Otherwise I find I bounce off a lot of anime. I find it too cliche, too chibi, too reliant on annoying tropes, etc. Ironically, this makes it pretty perfect for parody erotica, haha.

FoxFaceStories

3. What videogames don't I play, haha! Well, I suppose I don't play multiplayer online games - who's got time for that? Lately, I've been loving Ghost of Yotei and Hades II. I'm surprised I haven't got more Hades-inspired erotica to be honest, given the huge fandom it has and the massive bisexual appeal. I love the old Crash Bandicoot games, I'm a big fan of the Horizon series. I haven't played Expedition 33 yet but I'm keen for that. I haven't played for months now, but I always itch to return to Stellaris. I played a ton of Age of Empires and Dark Reign back in the day, so stuff like Crusader Kings and Stellaris really fill that strategy map itch. Outer Wilds is, in my mind, the best game ever made. The space exploration, the slowly unfolding story, the puzzles and feelings of discovery. It's a deeply beautiful piece of art that could only exist as a game. My spouse and I also had a blast going through It Takes Two and Split Fiction together. We're both keen to try out Dispatch soon.

FoxFaceStories

4. I couldn't honestly say what story I hoped would be bigger. Sometimes I post previews on Deviantart and I get nothing. Other times small mini-stories drive a flood of traffic. So I guess kind of everything, haha! The Lumin's stuff is always popular, though. I will say that had hoped things would blow up more on Fictionmania, as that was once the big TG site online. But now it's overwhelmed by 31-part stories and AI slop. 5. I can't remember this reference, I'm afraid!

Camden Levy

Nice I just bought Expedition 33 hope to play it sometime but I’ve been busy lately anyway I usually like to play platformers and RPGS, I’ve been playing Donkey Kong Bananza lately and it has become one of my favorite games ever, also been replaying Cuphead another one of my favorite games

Gilroy

Is there a story you want to write, but are worried about how it would be received? If so, what would be the premise?

Matt Sampson

For the more serialized stories, do you know how many chapters each one will be going in, or does it just go until you find yourself reaching the conclusion?

FoxFaceStories

I only ever played Donkey King 64 but I remember liking it. I don't do Nintendo purely because I'll have no free time otherwise. I really did enjoy Cuphead though I wasn't amazing at it. I still haven't beaten the devil at the end.

FoxFaceStories

Depends on if they're commissioned or not. With commissions, I'll always abide by the number the commissioner wants, though I will advice them if I personally think the story needs more breathing room or otherwise some stuff should be cut to fit. If it's a general non-commissioned serialised story or an ongoing prompt story, I just find the natural conclusion myself. Meteor Woman, for instance, I think couldn't be shorter. I love the length that it is, but I certainly didn't imagine it would be around 14 parts long, haha!

Camden Levy

Do you have any notable guilty pleasures? Any media/genre that you haven’t seen a tv story about that you think could be fun? Maybe I’m crazy but it feels like you used to respond to comments more, is there a particular reason you don’t do that as often anymore? How do you come up with names and titles? I ask because as someone who does some writing I find it frustrating Do you watch to watch any sports? Sorry if this is a bit too personal, but how’s life been treating you recently? Good I hope

FoxFaceStories

1. Bad horror movies from the 80's. 2. I'm guessing you mean TG story. Hmm, not from modern media, but I'm surprised I haven't had more mythic Roman and Greek stories, given how frequently transformation and TG comes up. Tiresias and Metamorphoses and all that. 3. I've been making an effort to respond to more comments again over the past couple of weeks. It's not a result of me wanting to disengagement - when life get very busy, and working two jobs, it gets easy to just switch off after posting. I definitely want to respnd more in the future and will do so. 4. No interesting answer here - I just make them up in my head, except for character names which I use online generators for. I spam them until I see one I like. I don't use AI for this - just the old generators from the old internet. 5. I don't mind a bit of cheeky AFL. Hawthorn lad. 6. Life has been great lately. I was done with post-viral Covid for nearly two years. Belted the guts right out of me. Nearly lost my job at the time (I was in retail). Thankfully, feeling great lately. Still haven't got my sense of smell back though.

FoxFaceStories

Sorry, this is a boring answer, but not really! I guess the closest thing I can think of would be something that dives right up my alley but isn't of general interest. E.g. I love superhero stuff but don't want to overdo it and flood the zone, so to speak.

Camden Levy

If you could go on vacation to any place in the world where would you go? If you could pick one superpower what would it be? Would you ever consider adding another slot for the story prompt tier? I’d love to join that tier Favorite food? I know you follow some tg writers but do you follow any tg artists? If you had to be tg’d but you could choose what you turn into what would transform into? (You can’t just say yourself but the opposite gender)

FoxFaceStories

1. I would love to visit America again, but I'm going to wait until things seem safe and less dystopian. 2. Flight is so standard and yet such a good answer. I'm a big plane nerd too. 3. I genuinely don't even know what I'd put on a new slot to be honest, lol. I'd only make one if I could think what would even be on it. 4. My favourite food changes often, but my favourite dessert will always be pavlova. Try it. 5. I do not follow any TG Artists! I think I kinda missed the train on that - by the time I thought about doing so the generative AI craze was taking off. Oh, TheMightFenek is good! 6. A hot blonde with some nice curves. I write about them enough, so why not go all the way?

Slayerangel1945

How many chapters are left in The Road to Change, if you don't mind me asking? I feel like you are setting up some epic fantasy showdown straight out of a fantasy novel, and I have to say, its not only the single best TG story of yours, but the best TG story I've ever read. I know its an old joke to watch, or in this case read, porn for the plot, but the way you've been so consistent with Mel and Al's characters, their genuine love story, the Demon King's looming presence, as well as the alternate endings for every chapter, is truly a masterpiece. I know my comment isn't exactly an ask at this point, I just wanted to make my admiration for your work clear. Have a lovely day!

Zeddsgurl

Where can one find your commission rates and how does one go about commissioning a story?

FoxFaceStories

Really good question Zeddsgurl. I've added my commission rates now to the pinned post at the top of my Patreon to make this clear. I charge 12 USD per 1000 words and can be contacted for commissions via PM on this site or on Deviantart. From there, you can outline your propose and we can discuss word length and characterisation and etc until a clear plan for the commission emerges, at which point we organise payment through Paypal.

FoxFaceStories

Thanks so much, Slayerangel! You're very kind. Road to Change is easily the biggest commission I've ever undertaken by a country mile. I'm glad the characterisation feels resonant and the story consistent. Big thanks to Al who commissioned it - they had a good grasp on the details and picked up on little bugs or continuity I'd breached, so credit where credit is due. As for length, we've just had Part 16. There are 21 parts in total - so five to go!

Jack Mackenzie

Would you ever do a poll, like a Google poll, to get some feedback of the kind of kinks, and broad socio-economic background of your followers? It might be interesting, and could help guide you in writing stories to appeal to more of your audience.

FoxFaceStories

I could definitely see myself getting feedback on kinks via a poll sometime in the future, definitely. I wouldn't do socio-economic background, though. I feel it would be prying too much beyond my content focus, and I can only speak to myself as someone from a blue collar family, but I'd not feel comfortable answering such a survey myself.

FoxFaceStories

1. I used to be hesitant with FtM stuff but I've been really enjoying writing it lately. I think anything that has too many ongoing changes at once are difficult. For instance, if I get a commission set in a fantasy world, that has TG elements, plus a TF, etc, then it actually ends up being a lot of balls in the air I have to juggle at once. 2. I definitely don't write incest. No bestiality either. I did do animal TFs back in the day but I've largely veered away from that now. 3. It would depend. I'm not really big into sci-fantasy unless it has a good hook to it. If it's just elves and dwarves but in space I kind of just view it as a hat on a hat, personally. Happy to do anthro avians, reptiles, amphibians etc though.

Jack Mackenzie

Fair enough, I only meant it as a sort of would you see yourself as working/lower/middle class etc. Though, as a total geography nerd, I'd be curious about broad geographical background, it'd be more than likely Anglophone, I reckon, but interesting none-the-less.

Camden Levy

Thoughts on doing more video game based TGs particularly some highly specific ones like low poly or 8-bit Tfs? Any Tfs you would like to do more of? Do you have any pets? If you given complete creative control of one franchise of your choice, what franchise would you pick and what would you do with it? Any favorite weapons in fiction? Any series that you think is overrated? Thoughts/experiences of writing action scenes? Favorite TV shows? Pineapple on Pizza? Favorite Ice cream flavor? If you’re ok with me asking do you have any particular kinks/fetishes? Boobs or Ass? I know me and a lot of writers take inspiration from things in our lives when we write so have any elements in your stories been based on your live experiences?

Saturnian

1) you must write a lot for patreon content (your work output really impresses me btw) so I wanted to ask, do you have any non patreon/non tg projects? 2)Do you enjoy transformation in general as a kink or as a topic? Or is it mainly gender transformations you like? Please keep up the good work, I enjoy how varied your output is!

MR F

Favorite Lumin's Syndrome story so far?

Slayerangel1945

Thank you for the reply! I'm glad to know that we're reaching the endgame now. Just out of curiosity, what was the price tag for you taking on the commission, just in case I want to commission something of similar length from you one day? Just curious. Cannot WAIT for the next chapter. Have a GREAT day!

FoxFaceStories

I still think 24 Hours is one of the best things I've written. I really enjoyed the premise that Jack Mackenzie wrote for me to expand upon, and how the changes and character development proceeded along that time limit.

FoxFaceStories

Thank you, Saturnian. My goal is to write 5000 words every single day, weekends included, hence the output. Question 1: As for non-Patreon, non-TG projects, I run a DnD game in my own life. I also love freshwater fishing! Not really a project, more of a fun little hobby, really. Question 2: I like transformation as both! I'm not trans personally, but it's always been a kink. My theory is that pretty much all kinks are just flavours of domination/submission, or wanting to experience something unique yet out of reach - TF contains both of these, of course. But as a topic, it's also fascinating. I grew up reading Greek myths as a kid, and tales of Medusa and Tiresias and the like were fascinating to me. There's also sci-fi series like The Culture where people can change their own bodies and even species as they wish, and it's the kind of future I would think was hella cool. Gender transformation is my main jam, but other TFs are really fascinating to think about and fun to write. To go back to medusa for a moment, Gorgon TFs are always a thrill to write because it's a very different kind of existence.

FoxFaceStories

Anonymous AMA question that was PM'd to me: I was wondering your thoughts on Blueberry/Pumpkin and other massive and immobilizing type TFs. My answer: I have no real thought about them all, to be honest! I'm not opposed to writing them, but I can't claim it's really in my oevre or that I particularly understand them, personally. Not that I judge, of course. I suppose I just have never considered writing in that space.

FoxFaceStories

1. Gorgon TFs are always a blast! Anything mythic related, actually. 2. Currently, no pets. Would love one in the future but not an option right now. 3. Star Trek. Would return it to the 'morality play' roots of the show rather than reaching for Star Wars-like spectacle. 4. Favourite weapon in fiction? Hmm . . . Indiana Jones' whip. 5. Star Wars is overrated, and this is coming from someone who loves it. It's had one good trilogy and one good show (Andor) but an endless plethora of slop since. 6. Action scenes are fun to write unless they don't really seem to fit the narrative. E.g., I enjoy writing action scenes in superhero fare. 7. Too many to count. I really liked Arrested Development. 8. Pineapple was never meant for pizza. 9. Raspberry 10. You can certainly ask! Honestly, I like the TG and TG preg stuff the most. 11. Boobs, obviously. 12. I try to base very little on my own life for privacy reasons. But I definitly draw inspiration from media and pop culture I consume, and perhaps some people I know for some of the more . . . out there characters.

Camden Levy

I don’t actually read comics, I mainly know DC/Marvel characters from the movies and shows. I do know about the Absolute Universe though mainly because of memes about Absolute Batman (Bruce is going through it lol). Personally I’m more of a Marvel guy but I think both are cool. Also surprised you don’t really care for any Marvel characters I feel like even people who don’t like Marvel at least like Spider-Man lol
