Content

G'day everyone! I plan to put this post up every couple or few months or so for anyone that wants to comment, ask questions, make suggestions, or just inquire about my commissioning process or what they'd like to see more of or less of in the future!

This is a more casual AMA, so feel free to ask whatever you want, including about my writing process, or make suggestions or criticisms (kindly please haha) if there's some content I should be covering more or am doing too much, or certain parts of my writing that are becoming a bit too samey!

Keen to hear your thoughts, questions, and even curiosities! Comment below (and if you have a question you'd like asked anonymously, PM me and I'll post it on your behalf below without your username attached).

Below I also have a vote for you to consider! As you know, Supreme Tier grants two alt-endings/epilogues a month, one mini-story extension, and one lottery winning story, along with other exclusive posts. However, I'm wondering if you'd prefer there to be just one alt-ending/epilogue a month, and two lottery wins, in order to literally double your chances of potentially winning a story for the month? Please give your thoughts below and vote as well! If the vote is very close, I'll leave things as they are, but if the lottery pulls way ahead, we might change things for April!

As you have written a lot of romance and have previously mentioned having a spouse, I was wondering if you had any advice about dating/romantic relationships?

FoxFaceStories

My main advice is to find someone who shares at least one major common hobby or interest as you. Every marriage I know that failed had a number of factors leading to that, but a common denominator is that they didn't really do yhings together.

FoxFaceStories

My other piece of advice is to never have a problem with your partner, have a problem with the PROBLEM. You're a team, so you work together to solve problems, not to find conflict each other.

FoxFaceStories

Also, relationships are commonly said to be 50-50. That couldn't be more wrong. Sometimes it's 60-40. Sometimes it's 90-10. Sometimes your partner has nothing left in the tank, so you give more than your share. The important thing is that when you have nothing left in the tank, your partner can step up for you. And you never keep score.

FoxFaceStories

Lastly, your spouse should be your best friend in the world. My wife is mine. Keep showing your partner why they mean so much to you and pay attention to their love language.

FoxFaceStories

Oh, and for fellow men: learn how to fucking cook and wash the dishes and help out with the laundry and don't wait on your girlfriend or wife or partner to do the mental load and remind you. Take initiative and don't be a man child. The bar for guys is in hell, so step up and do your part around the house. End rant.

Is there any kind of stories or transformations that you feel don’t get enough attention or wish there was more of a desire for? Apologies if thats too broad a question.

FoxFaceStories

No, that's a good question, Silver Ranze. Personally, Gorgons/Medusas are terrific fun to write for, and so I'd love to see more love for those. Mermaids also - writing aquatic and mythological stories involving sirens/mermaids really suits transformation themes, but generally gets less support.

What is your music taste? and do you listen to music while you write? If you do how does that impact the process?

FoxFaceStories

Ooh, great question! My music taste is stupidly varied, but I generally prefer instrumental pieces over songs so I can write while listening to them. Yes, I listen to music while writing, often the soundtrack of the last game I played or show I watched. Currently, the Neva game has a lovely OST I listen to while writing. I often return to the Outer Wilds soundtrack too. I love musicals and alt-rock, but I can't listen to those while writing.

FoxFaceStories

I don't believe it impacts my writing as it just puts me in a zen state. I will, however, turn it off if it becomes a distraction.

I've upgraded my membership in the hope my suggestions for extending/alt-ending Suburban Life make the poll :)

Great work on organizing all the polls each month for the different tiers, I'm sure its a lot of work but been fun to see what gets chosen, especially with the themes now neat what people come up with, keeps me subscribed! Last B-t-S you talked about the annoyance of ai writing taking over many tf sites. Any artists/authors you follow or are a fan of you want to shout out doing honest work? Legacy or up and coming ones. Also, any good local cuisine you enjoy from your country? Thanks!

FoxFaceStories

I agree, psychonaut, it's been fun to see what people propose and vote for each month, even if it is a bit of work to sift through and organise! You remember well, my hatred of AI has only increased exponentially since. I have yet to see a single area of life where it has improved anything. All it has done has made poor environmental impacts, laid off tens of thousands of good workers in a struggling economy, encouraged a culture of laziness and even a hatred of the arts, and given further rise to political propaganda from elites. But I digress, the writer Halfpint51 does not use AI, and has written plenty of great stories on Deviantart/TGStorytime. All publicly available! SpiralledEye is another - we're close friends and I greatly enjoy her work. Morpheus on fictionmania has lots of great stories as a backlog, but I don't think he posts anymore. Local cuisine, great question! Australia's great contributuion to the world of dessert is the Pavlova, and I encourage all to make one and give it a try! I'll also state that the rest of the world is missing out on chips (fries for Americans) with chicken salt. It seems chicken salt is an Aus/NZ thing only, but it's fantastic stuff! Everyone should also try a vegemite spread at some point in their life.
