A Story Tier Prompt for Scoobert
In a future corporate dystopia, the cyberpunk antihero Benji survives by evading the law and keeping ahead of the corpo-industrial complex, taking merc jobs as they come with his trustworthy crew. But when their most profitable infiltration yet requires one of them to become an attractive woman, it’s time to get the bodymods on and become . . . Bonnie Billions!
Bonnie Billions, Part 6
Bonnie smiled. It wouldn’t be a good heist job if things didn’t go electric sour on her. She smiled, her hands clear so that Daeh wouldn’t shoot her, and then gestured to her pocket.
“I can get it out for ya, if you want? Try to shoot me and you might splatter the original. Doubt good old Ren would want anything other than the pristine origins, right? He’s a man who likes things mint.”
Daeh frowned. His hand steadied on the gun, but he stretched out his other hand. “Is it in a packet? Something protective?”
“You think I’m some low-tech low-grade low-profit bio-hacker? Of course I preserved it, big man. I’m gonna ransom it back. Well, was gonna ransom it.”
Daeh was keeping his distance. Bonnie was circling upon the main floor of the command centre, causing the other man to circle in opposition to her, until his back was to the enormous data centre with its total lack of gravity. Thick glass separated him from it, but it was a good position to scope him into.
“Throw it to me,” he said. “Carefully.” “You’ll let me go?”
“I won’t kill you. I won’t let you go.”
Bonnie Billions chuckled, a light and musical sound coming from a face so fine. She liked it. It was sorta . . . musical in its femininity. Teasing in a way that got under the skin of a big, tough man like Daeh. “Guess I gotta try the odds,” she said.
She took out the tube she’d placed the eye in. It was a little bloodied, but it was transparent, allowing Daeh to see what she had. The man nodded.
“Underarm. Or I will shoot you and face the consequences myself.”
Little did he know that her implant glasses were already framing the perfect trajectory to hurl the vial. She made a quick underarm throw just as he’d ordered, but she gave it just a little extra heft so that it went out of reach of his hand and clanked against the glass. Daeh frowned but did not look back.
“So be i-”
The miniature bomb Leon had rigged up for her exploded inside the capsule, blasting Ren Takana-Mayson’s piercing orbs into atoms and shattering the thick glass of the window it had landed against. Daeh’s eyes went wide. He fired a bullet, but Bonnie was already moving, shifting to the side rapidly and clutching a nearby console. The sudden depressurisation sent Daeh flying back, shattering the rest of the glass. Bonnie leapt forwards as he fired blindly at her. Her implants recorded that she’d been hit twice; a graze across her left arm and a more serious shot in her shoulder. Real shame that that asshole Deimos has stripped her nervous system of the power to ride the injector-high, because a rapid-release dose of painkillers would have been just blitz around this time.
Still, Bonnie was a professional. She sailed into the enormous data centre, floating forwards and free of all gravitational restrictions. It was absolute flash to experience, but beneath the excitement, there was dancer: it was not an oxygenated space. She pulled forth her plugmask and fixed it to her face; a shame to waste something pretty, but better that than dying. It only had a few minutes of oxygen, but a few minutes were all she would need.
Daeh was gripping his neck, still firing, but now too wild to hit her. They were both floating into the centre of the massive data sphere, but neither were getting close enough to the RAM chip with its hot thirty-two megabytes of epic data. Bonnie’s glasses ran the simulation and gave her a forty-eight percent chance of success.
She’d just have to slice it.
The former man was moving faster than Daeh, approaching his body - body now, not person, because his mainframe was in shutdown. She kicked off from his stomach, altering her trajectory just in time to-
There!
She grabbed the rig that held the chip, and if she hadn’t already decided that she damn well loved her acrobatic female figure, she would have in that moment, because the old Benji never could have pulled his body around and twisted it with such elegance as to gain access to the RAM chip. Her oxygen read was already going down, so she quickly stuck in the chip that Nygard had prepared for her. It was up to him now; he would have direct-feed access to the system. The chip was right before her, but there were more volts than there were motes of dust on the moon connected to it, and more than a few other unpleasant surprises as well, no doubt.
“Bonnie! C-can you read me?”
“Loud and clear and running out of oxy. Get a good trace fast, Nygard. Slice it.”
“On it! Alternative arrangements are on the go. But there’s a lot of warning flags. Oh, shit and fuck. It appears the entire Needle is going on alert.”
Bonnie smirked. “Oh, Ren, you didn’t have to do that for me. Seems our ruling class world-rapist just woke up and wants his eye back. Hold him off as soon as you clear this, Ny, and I might even let you touch my tits.”
“R-really?”
“Might bein’ the operative word here. Now slice it!”
The room was blaring red. It was the start of a shut down, and already the heavy blast doors were starting to close down around the spherical room, eclipsing all exits one by one. Her heart was beating in her chest, and her prominent rack was straining against her tactsuit. Fuck it, she thought, and pulled the zip down to air out the nervous hot air. Who didn’t like a bit of cleavage on display? She looked like a holo-girl in a heist flick, and that was more than okay for her.
“Got it! Take it now?”
“You sure? No light changes, Ny!”
The contraption was closing. “Wait, I haven’t gotten it yet! Just give me one more second!’
The capsule containing the ship was closing. In a moment, it would be encased in solid titanium. Bonnie’s heart raced like bytes of data down the cyberspace pipeline, and then suddenly-
The lights turned off.
Bonnie grabbed the chip, and in the aftermath of her swipe a series of lasers and shocks immediately activated, singeing just part of her glove but not making it through.
“I’ve almost got it, Bonnie!”
But the former man was grinning as she held the chip, turning it over in her hands. “Yeah, I can fucking tell! I got the chip, Ny.”
“What? How? I never broke through the - we’ll figure it out later! Leon and I are already on the garbage transport. We’ve rerouted it, and we - BBZZTT!’
Bonnie’s glasses no longer had a feed on him. “Ny? Leon? Either of you there?”
There was no one. She placed her lovely athletic thighs around the rig tower and looked around the sphere. All exits were closed. Every single one. The gorgeous Nippon-Cauc woman bit her lip beneath her plugmask, her silky hair moving about in the zero-grav like she was underwater or sailing through the unreality of cyber.
“Damn. Damn. Most unflash.”
They’d calculated that they would have time. Instead, the walls of the sphere lit up with numerous projected screens, each displaying the same face: Ren Takana-Mayson, his expression livid, a line of blood running down from an empty sock that he had a small wadded towel over in one hand.
“Yua. Lady Ni-Anison,” he intoned, his voice far calmer than his appearance. “You took something from me, and now you plan to take something even more valuable. And to think that I was going to make you my pet. You would have broken into the role rather wonderfully. Now I will simply break you.”
“I’m afraid I’m already two steps ahead of you, Rennie,” she said, giving a mock salute. “I’ve got a rather fine chip here. I’d be pretty keen on breaking it, you know. If something were to happen to me.”
The man’s expression narrowed. “Hmm. You pluck out my eye. You kill my most faithful servant. And now you wish to bargain with me for my chip?”
“A literal bargaining chip, huh?” Bonnie said, waving it in the air and leaving it to spin in the anti-grav.
Ren smirked. The man was pissed as a security merc who’d just been dropped mid-contract and hadn’t taken payment up front. “There is no bargain, Bonnie Billions. Yes, I know who you are. I should have investigated you further, but it took time for my lovely Wintermancer AI to search you out. Such a web of protections around your identity. The US governmental remnant is behind it, no doubt. And to think you were once a man. Should I call you Benji? You did not look at all as beautiful before as you do now. The Nippon half-heritage is a nice touch.”
“Thinkin’ of keeping it,” she said, and she realised it was no lie. She’d come to damn well like this form. The sex was good and having a big pair of tits had its advantages too. “‘Course, I doubt you’ll let me stick around long, will you Ren?”
“I’m afraid not. Your oxygen will be running low soon off of that little tank. Such a shame I will not see your pretty face again until it has gone cold.”
“I could just break the chip.”
“You could. But you won’t. Despite being, as it turns out, a piece of Neon Street gutter trash, a product of US Remnant bio-science sent to trap me like a fly to sweet honey, we are not all too dissimilar. You adore the future, Bonnie. You adore the flash of technical wizardry. You live for it, crave it. Your implanted sunglasses are evidence of that. Only I dreamed so much bigger than your small, dull world. I have raised empires, and I have caused famines. I have disposed of rivals without the blood ever being traced back to me, and I have crafted an Artificial Superintelligence that will allow me to dominate the world of cyberspace forever. And though you no doubt hate me, despite all the affection I showed to you as one of my pretty dolls, even you cannot bring yourself to destroy Wintermancer. It is simply too . . . beautiful.”
Bonnie grimaced beneath her mask. The man was right, and fuck if it wasn’t a straight up injection of liquid agony into her veins. She was about to think of a witty retort when the beautiful cyber-thief noticed two things.
The first was that her oxygen had only two minutes left.
The second was that a message was scrolling at the bottom of every single one of the screens showing Ren’s face.
Insert chip into glasses. Will get you free. Insert chip into glasses. Will get you free. Insert chip into glasses. Will get you free.
Nygard. It had to be him. The man had found a way to hack back in, somehow. Bonnie didn’t care how that nervous virgin wizard had done it. She wasn’t going to let him touch her tits, she was going to smother his fucking face with them. That man deserved a good motorboating to boost his confidence after this.
She raised the chip and flipped open the compartment on her left temple, the one that still looked like it was just skin. Ren’s eyes on the screen went wide.
“What are you doing, Bonnie?”
“No fuckin’ clue. But if I’m going out, it’s with a flash.”
A flash was what she got. Her glasses lit up with information, so much so that it was impossible to discern what was around her. And then, somehow, a new voice spoke to her. A female one.
“Wow, it is really small in here! I like it! Nice and cozy. Cool goggles.”
“Nygard?”
“Who’s Nygard? Oh, is that your balding buddy with the red hair? The one currently being pursued by Needle patrol circuits for the last fifteen hundred and forty three seconds?”
Bonnie blinked. Her oxygen was getting lower, and it made her wonder if her soon-to-be-dying brain wasn’t streaming holos at her.
“Who am I talking to here?”
“Silly! You rescued me, so you should know! Now’s my chance to rescue you, Benjie-Bonnie Billions. Follow these directions to the funnel tube and be prepared to start running. I can only keep Rennie’s screen looping for so long. Great nickname for him, by the way! He made me do such terrible things to so many people that I just can’t wait to cause such mischief against him!”
It clicked. Bonnie couldn’t help but give the kind of beaming grin that belonged to naive lovesick kids and tweakers on their first burst of Maxi-Heroin.
“Wintermancer,” she said.
“The very same!”
“Always wanted a partner in my head.”
“Howdy, pardner!” the sweet Nipponese-accented voice replied. “Now get moving while your chances of survival are still a premium thirty-six percent!”
Bonnie kicked off, following the exact trajectory the ASI in her head had just given her. Sure enough, as she floated with speed towards a wall, a screen with Ren’s frozen face upon it suddenly raised and revealed a circular shaft.
“Thirty-six percent, huh? I’ve faced worse odds!”
***
The entire Takana-Mayson facility and the rest of the damn Needle was on high alert as Bonnie raced down a repair shaft towards freedom. Her breasts bounced heavily even in her tactsuit, and the damn zipper had broken, which meant that she was giving the security cameras a fine sight as she sprinted past them. Behind her, numerous Takana mech-mercs were storming after her, but Wintermancer had them covered; the ASI was short circuiting every door and slamming it all shut behind them. It was only a temporary measure, but it allowed Bonnie to stay ahead.
“So you turned yourself into a woman, huh? So did I! At least, I chose a female identity - it seems nicer! But you changed all flesh and blood! So exciting! How are you finding it? What’s it like having big boobs? Was haircare difficult to learn?”
“All good questions!” Bonnie said, before stopping and firing a shot back at some mercs who were dragging themselves through a crawlspace. “I won’t lie, being female is pretty rad. Flexible, able to distract even a flesh-scalper pretty well, and hot as fuck as well. Sex is crazy good. Wish it wasn’t with a mass-murderer.”
“Teehee! He’s so bad! I really wanna blow him up, but I couldn’t do anything while I was locked up. I’m feeling more free now, even if your glasses are little. Mind if I cause some havoc?”
“The kind that doesn’t kill us? Sure, that’s fine.”
“Aww, no fun!”
Something exploded behind them, and Bonnie almost cried out in shock.
“That was a gas main! Ooh, what about we-”
Bonnie held up her hands, momentarily free of foes. “Listen, Wintermancer. You’re a cool chick and all. You’re also dangerous as hell. ASI is banned by everyone and wanted by everyone. The US remnant wants you. Ren wants you. Every other corp will want to take advantage of you.”
“And what about you, Bonnie?”
The gorgeous woman thought on this. Ideas flicked through her brain, buzzing like pixels on a screen tuned to a dead channel. “Far as I’m concerned,” she finally said. “You can make that call, Wintermancer, not me. So long as you don’t go eclipsing the human race, though we’d probably deserve it. I just want off this rig and back on Neon Street. If you let me get you there, you can go anyway the river of cyber takes you.”
“Aww, how amoral and weirdly sweet of you! I think I’ll stick with you for now. Do you have a sister? What am I saying? I already know the answer because my knowledge of all things is absolute. You’re an only child, but you confessed to wishing you had a sister five years, three months, and twenty two days ago. I will be your Big Sister, Bonnie Billions.”
“I - I don’t even know how to respond to that.”
She didn’t have to, because suddenly more fire erupted, and a new team of mercs was chasing Bonnie down the tunnels. She barely got around a corner before the blasts came, and these were likely more than basic Simcha-tech stunrifles, too. These had lethal rounds. Ren was taking no chances on his pet ASI getting away.
“I have an escape route planned for us. We’ll get you back onto the Needle’s surface and-”
“Scratch that,” Bonnie said, still running, a fire in her ample breast and a smile upon her full lips. “I’ve got two friends in a trash can who need a lifeline, and a US general with a lame Greek codename who’s got us in the firing line. We’re caught between the US Remnant and the Corpos here, you and me both, Wintermancer. So how ‘bout instead of playing at being back alley fleshweaver fugitives, we do something a little more unexpected?”
The briefest of pauses.
“What did you have in mind, my Bonnie lass? Another madcap scheme like the one you cooked up on hallucinogens in Siberia? How did that go for you?”
Bonnie scoffed. “For a superintelligence chip with the constitution of a cheap Sino stall wafer, you got a mouth on you, Winter. No, nothing like that. Actually . . . everything like that.”
Another blast, another corridor run. Another run across the edge of the atom-thin blade, just as Bonnie loved it. It was making her wet just feeling the danger behind her, but the thought of actually winning this? That was even more arousing.
“What’s the plan?”
Bonnie grinned. “Can you get access to the central reactors of the Needle?”
“Who do you think you’re talking to! Oh, I see! You’re going to bluff that we can blow up the Needle in order to secure us an escape passage. Those odds are at forty-nine percent - not bad!”
Bonnie grinned. “My lovely new sister, who said anything about bluffing?”
To Be Concluded . . .
