24 December:

Paulina had just finished writing her last story when she sensed someone behind her.

When she turned around, she came face to face with Mother Christmas, who looked rather angry.

‘Naughty girl!’

She grabbed her by the ear to pull her up from her seat and dragged her away from the desk. She took the book and carried her away with her in the sleigh.

‘We're going for a ride, just the two of us!’

In a few moments, they were both in the flat of the two women who had found the book.

Paulina didn't understand why she was there with Mother Christmas. She imagined the terrible punishment she had in store for the person in the flat.

Miss Santa took the book, then turned to her servant to show her the last page of the manuscript. She imagined she would see a ruler, but that wasn't the case.

The page stated that the book owner's lackey would retrieve it and then punish people or conduct experiments on others and punish one teacher in particular.

Everything she had done had been planned by one of the two women.

‘You see, you're not responsible for what happened.’

‘So I'm not going to be punished?’

‘No, not for that reason, anyway.’

‘Great.’

Paulina was delighted and disappointed at the same time, then she followed her boss to the flat.

Santa made a dramatic entrance and showed her anger, then explained that mere mortals could not play with powers beyond their control.

She ended her complaint with a proposal that the two young women could not refuse.

‘So which one of you will accept my proposal?’

The two women looked at each other and replied at the same time.

‘ME!’

They looked at each other, surprised by what the other had just said, and before they could say another word, Santa passed her judgement.

The two women transformed into demons with hooves and horns, then resumed their human form, but with more sadistic clothing and make-up.

‘There you go, you will be the Krampusettes who punish naughty boys!’

‘Yes, ma'am.’

They were delighted with their transformation.

‘Good, we'll go tomorrow, it's Christmas.’

Paulina jumped up and followed Mrs. Claus, and before leaving the flat, she turned back to the two new Christmas demons.

‘I wish you a Merry Christmas Eve.’
