After the first QUOTESOFDUKE video made the rounds, I decided I should give people more of what I believed they began following me for, and voice the entire QUOTESOFDUKE account. I was going to just do them all at once, but after putting together 7 minutes of audio I was like what the fuck, nobody's gonna wanna sit through this. So I decided it would be more enjoyable in 30 second clips every week, and also decided to do something good with the spotlight since I didn't know what else to do with the screen, and make it a fanart showcase that had no standard of quality where anyone could participate. I'm still amazed at the quality of some pieces which were sent in. Special shoutout to Ardath Lilitu (@2007Hellbabe on Twitter) for being the greatest Duke Nukem fan artist in the world, and permitting me to use her works. However, back in August I stopped doing this weekly series for a number of reasons. For one, it was honestly more work than I wanted to put in on shitposts all the time. Also, I try not to upload a video more than once per day usually, so this was every Friday I dedicated that slot to this series, which didn't really have wildly popular reception. People definitely liked it, but the numbers weren't reflecting that most people really wanted more of it from me.At a certain point, I began to wonder if I was beating people over the head with it too much. Originally I wanted to dub them all because I assumed that's what people wanted more of when the first QUOTESOFDUKE video made the rounds, but I think over time I realized what they really wanted was just random Duke funnies, and while that Twitter account is absolute fucking comedy gold for every tweet, a weird part of me was wondering if it looked like I was just trying to milk it too much.Anyway, the final nail in the coffin was when Jon St. John himself started dubbing them. I felt like it was just ridiculous for me to be dubbing the same material as the official actor, because if the real actual Duke is doing it, there's really no use for the knockoff. It felt like I was being insulting at worst and redundant at best. As a fan, I thought it was so awesome he was gonna be dubbing them, and it has indeed been amazing. Be sure to check him out sometime if you haven't already, he's a real cool dude. He's The One True King, Baby.https://twitter.com/JSJisDukeFun fact, a cool guy by the name of beanibirb decided to make this series into a MOD!https://www.moddb.com/games/duke-nukem-3d-20th-anniversary-world-tour/downloads/quotes-of-duke-v40For Outtakes, basically at the start I decided I want to collect all the Outtakes throughout the entire series and then release them all as one video. But over time I was less and less sure about doing it, and eventually I just didn't feel like collecting them anymore because I thought there was a pretty good chance I was just gonna throw them all out anyway. Well, now the handful I did save, are yours.I put together a video compilation of all Duke Nukem Quotes, but it's literally too large to put onto Patreon. However, I can at least link you to it:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HpYkPHVwc4&list=PLv-kM7bcufALNtKameyNkmxvBCoGkebOL&index=27&ab_channel=GianniMatragranoSometimes I think about resuming the series anyway but eh... I dunno. I feel like it might be best to just leave it be. However, if you just want more of those legendary tweets, be sure to follow the account that started it all:https://twitter.com/QUOTESOFDUKE
