WE'LL BE TALKIN' ABOUT THE BALLS (Patreon)

This one was highly requested. To be honest, I wasn't as sure about this one and I'm still not as sure about it. I feel like this meme is at its best when it uses abrupt cutting from the sentence to an old clip related to the subject to give that jarring almost sentence mixing effect. Obviously it'd be too weird to do abrupt cuts from my own voicing of Duke to actual old clips from the games. I thought about doing just cuts to soundclips like the Octobrain screeches and the shotgun and what have you, but the problem is that with Duke, a lot of the memorable audio really has to do with his own one liners, so to not use them felt like it would fail to fulfill what is really desired in this format. Although I did still use the theme for a quick little gag which I like. I thought about putting music or ambient classroom noise but I kinda liked the energy of it just having him talking considering the visual was going to be just the still image.Overall I still like this video a lot though. I'm not sure I would've done it had it not been for the popularity of the request, in general I try not to let "JUMP IN ON CURRENT MEME" have me force a video that doesn't really *work* per se, because in a year the video will still exist and I hope that it'll still be fun then for some aspect of the video, and with this one I was a bit concerned it wouldn't quite work. I'm glad I pushed through that concern because I'm pretty happy with how it came out. The good news is none of this matters because I'm a week late to the meme anyway so it's basically already old and most people won't really be interested in this video now, but hey, at least I did it for those who wanted it. That's always gonna be good enough for me. Every video is *somebody's* favorite and that's very special to me.https://twitter.com/ExaltedArchvile/status/1412618685160771584
