Greetings.  Work on the Skyrim project is continuing well.  We are currently at 116k words, or 235 pages.  For reference, the Oblivion video clocked in at 135k words or 313 pages.  I have just concluded the rough draft for the Main Quest section, leaving just the Side Quests, Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and Conclusion left to finish.

Estimating the total length based off the previous numbers, while fun, is from experience a bad idea.  Afterwards I'll be editing the script preparing it for the final draft.    By my estimation, the Skyrim project is still well on course.  Unfortunately I don't have much more to give you other than metrics, which themselves have historically been deceptive.

As for side projects, I unfortunately have a lot of spinning plates and not necessarily anything substantive yet.  I know I will be doing a video about getting into Morrowind for the 20th Anniversary, but that will be in May.  I have not been finding time to play Elden Ring, and am on the verge of delaying/cancelling that video, just to make everything else easier.

I think the issue is that I'm having a hard time justifying writing anything other than the Skyrim script at this moment.  The rate of videos should then pick up after I'm done with writing about Skyrim.  The Jedi Knight video did nothing for 5 months, so the only way the work I do ever expires is if it's time sensitive (like Elden Ring) or if I just abandon the project.

I personally do not find elden ring that interesting and there is a lot of media covering the it now, so a video from you might just be drowned out.

I am not worried and I'm sure it'll work it self out in the end. If you must abandon the Elden Ring video then it is understandable. I'm certain no one of any significance will hold it against you, unless of course you have a habit of holding things against yourself... But then again that isn't really any of my business nor my concern.

Based on 40 hours of Elden Ring and 1000+ hours in all prior FS games, I would support not covering the game for now. The world is incredibly large, unfathomable, all dense with primarily unique enemies, challenges and puzzles. The combat and movement is something that takes hours of research as there hasn't been enough time to collate everything in the wiki. I won't go on to other aspects, they're equally as well done with the occasional head-scratcher or blunder. Even if you rushed the gameplay, with walkthroughs and watching or reading community info in the side, I can't imagine it taking less than 200 hours for a comprehensive review. This would also require missing out on relaxing and exploring the world, your first experience would be spent as a frantic courier and hitman. I would much rather hear your perspective through the lens of someone that took their time to enjoy the game to then break it down into its pieces.

Keep up the good work pat! Do what you like! Elden seemed like it’d be more then a side project anyways considering it being a souls and all. If ur not feeling it I can go either way in seeing it or not. I’d be happy with any vid you pop out.

I hear all ur posts in ur voice pat. It’s strange

NGL i think the morrowind video will preform better with alot of your fanbase being elder scrolls people due to the other 2 videos. I also don't know how much you could really add to Elden ring discussion at this point.

I think in lieu of a more time sensitive elden ring project, a more broad souls/borne overlook would be preferable - at least to me. Food for thought if you were interested in a project like that! Either way, looking forward to the next big video
