Recap! Empires: Session 1

The first episode! We meet our characters and at the very least, some aspects of the world of Arestre. Five individuals--Klade, Baza, Viola, Haru and Rosa--find themselves each having a vision of a god pleading for help. Some are granted power from this, but all are ultimately left with nothing but confusion. But either way, there seems to not really be anything they can do about it. At least, not until they all happen to meet "by chance" at the World's Fair, along with a strange lizardy creature who calls himself Skratch. An exposition called The Future Of Labor seems to have gone awry, with monsters bursting forth and attacking the audience. The group is told by a professor in charge of this that someone broke into the theater and stole many precious notes on the subject: creating monsters from raw magical contaminant. The political implications are staggering, as this is the first time any such feat has been achieved. Our heroes have banded together to solve this mystery, but not all of them have the same agenda..
