With a newly incarnated god with them, the party quickly exits the Icewater Mansion, only to discover their boat is gone. Landwick is on fire... people in cultic robes are going around shouting "No god but He!" and looking for Mauori. On seeing an airship escaping, Rosa suddenly grows wings and flies after it, leaving the party one short until they run across Toffee, who had been infiltrating the cult for the last year. They quickly get the rundown on what's happened--this cult is somehow tied to the Hodai empire, and has been exceptionally secret about their beliefs and rituals, up until this moment. After a long and difficult talk with Mauori (and figuring out ways to keep him hidden), Toffee's handler offers the group a mission to break into the cathedral, which is under the cult's control. Inside, the high priest recognizes the group for what they are, but offers them a way into the cult's hidden sanctum, where the party is ambushed by transformed cultists. Surrendering, the high priest laughs, and offers the party a glimpse of their god before they're released--and their god happens to be Lord General Hesterak...
