Finally it's out in the open, And I understand her totally. Hilde has put her life on hold for Adrian, her world basically revolves around Adrians and the Ali's needs. But although Hilde is a good person and wants to help Adrian because that's what good people do - she still has needs and desires. And Adrian is in essence a female 'cock block' (Sorry ladies - I don't know the female equivalent).

I think it is more of a metaphor. Hilde is opening herself so she is 100% focused on it just think about it and the deeper she dive in her heart, the more she forgot about her passenger. And her unknown feelings, for now. Ps: sorry for bad english
