Ugh... landlords in a nutshell

Leo G.

So happy to see more of this great comic. Thanks! Looks like things are gonna get a little more interesting...

ShuSquirrel

They just can’t catch a break.

MarshalB

Why do all badgers seem to be jerks, lol

Justin Cardinal Schubert

Land lords have to do this most times they are hired by a company to "Manage" a Building they also have regulations to follow.... they are not always jerks by choice...

Ztpia

There could be a 4th option if the comic wants to get NSFW...

I'm very confused because outside of a limited number of parking passes per apartment, I'm confused how one would be against the lease. I get where the story wants to go here, but this bit broke immersion for me

Leinglo

Hilde could just be stuck in a bad lease contract. It certainly wouldn't be the worst lease rule I've heard of.

MarshalB

I see it now, thanks

ArcadeDragon

We didnt hear the first part of the conversation. Might have missed an important bit. But, in our universe at least, I dont think having a roomate is a violation of a lease. If they are a permanent resident (not the legal term, but Im drawing a blank), they can qualify as such and not be on the lease. If they want to be added to the lease (gives them rights they would not have as a resident), it does not make the apartment more expensive. The apartment rents for what iit rents for, cant charge more per person (in most states at least) But that is the rule in our world. We also have to wear pants. So, you win some, you lose some!

rickgriffin

??? I've applied to several apartments where having more than the stated # of residents would be a violation of the lease agreement. The apartment I'm staying in NOW forbids any visitors for more than 14 consecutive days per month. In a situation with rent control, where you can keep your initial agreed rate so long as you keep the same lease without increase, violating the lease would result in a rate increase if the tenant wishes to re-sign.

Kit Foxboy

I *really* thought this would be the one where they kiss.

HorseHats

That sucks. You keep us on edge, Rick - as a master story teller should/does.

Edtropolis

Ooooh man that's rough...best of luck to both of them in the upcoming pages...

Summer Vixen

Housing is a human right. It doesn't matter who's pulling the trigger- their housing is threatened, and that is not ethical. That's the point of the comic. Your knee-jerk defense of the landlord class is... well, it misses the point.

Magitechnician

We don't get pages for the easy parts :p

Magitechnician

Oh, right yeah. I think we were focusing on the parking pass bit but doi, leases generally want to know how many people are living there

Magitechnician

This isn't going to help Hilde's imposition-consious-complex
