You know, I spent a lot of time many years ago working on game balance. I want a game to give every player a good time, and give them a decent chance to win if they put in the effort. I also don't want to force everyone to play the same minmax strategy to get what they want out of it. It just occurred to me that what Marion wants out of life, to have a good time being self-actualized without having to worry about being penalized for it - it's an analogous vision. An ideal world would be like one of my old game designs.

Marion is such an admirable person. It's one thing to realize that bending yourself to social judgements and expectations can make you unhappy, but a whole other to have the courage to live through what it takes to break such barriers down.
