OKAY. I know this has been a while in coming but this story arc is finally done. For now, Housepets is done. But it will be coming back--I still have stories for this that I never got around to telling, but I want to be able to tell them in a way that doesn't drive me absolutely mad. I will write them the same way I do my other comics, and that means actually giving myself some time and space to write them instead of panicking and forcing myself to a writing deadline that hinders more than it helps.

I need to get around to making the new website so people can actually follow all my other comics and stories too!

Yess having a site with everything on it sounds awesome

RTL

What an amazing 15 year journey. Looking forward to what comes next. Thank you Rick.

A nice end to an amazing run, with excitement for more stories in the future! And what a way to end, with that reveal XD

What a CLIFFHANGER to leave off on. I’ve gone on the whole spiel already so I won’t repeat it but what a journey it’s been these past years. I can’t wait to see what else is in store for Housepets in the future and all the other stories you have to tell as well. Thank you Rick!

Sunpup

It’s been a wild ride, tbh I did not expect this today and I’m very much low key freaking out, but I look forward to seeing what comes next, and thanks for being one of the og webcomics I follow that still exists

midwestmutt

It will be different not having Housepets as the flagship anymore but I'm looking forward to the new site format. Other comics I read do this, like Ctrlt+Alt+Del, PS 238, Kevin and Kell, et al. I always marvel at artists who can keep so many plots going at the same time.

Ryedog

This comic has been a constant in my life for over ten years. It was a gateway into furry as a whole, something I was only tangentially associated with before. It's continuous pacing provided a stability in routine releases during tumultuous periods of my life and the gateway into the furry community as a whole was life changing. Thank you for all you've done and the wonderful story you chose to share with us 💚

Owletron

I am high key freaking out, in a good way!

BluePackWolf

Thank you for bringing so much joy to so many people.

River "Neon Noble" Nicolosi

Aww, yay! Congrats on another chapter done! Looking forward to you doing things the way you do them best~!

I picked up the comic during the My Life As A Teenage Squirrel arc, and back then I was going through a rough patch as well. I got attached to the squirrel immediately, and it was a blast seeing Marion and his character arc all the way to the end like this. I wasn’t an avid reader for as long as a lot of other folks, but these last four years were one helluva ride. Thanks Rick, and I’m looking forward to everything else you’re working on, as always!

Thwaitesy

It's been a long run and I'm glad to have been here for a good deal of it. Can't wait to see what the future will bring for Housepets.

CorgiButtOnWheels

I picked up from the very beginning, when it was just little strips... It's so amazing to see how far you've come, Rick! You have done such an amazing job with this series. If it wasn't for Housepets!, I wouldn't have found your other works and many friends I've made in the meantime. You've earned a well-deserved break! I know it's not "over", but I'm happy to have been along for the ride. Thank you! And I'll be keeping up with the rest of your series too, of course!

What a way to end it

Hard to believe it's over (for now). Thank you Rick for an amazing run! I started reading in 2019 near the start of the spa saga. I was hooked instantly by these adorable and funny characters and have followed the series ever since. As soon as I read the newest strip I went back to the beginning and read the whole thing over a few days. And I loved it!!! It's also how I discovered your other works. This was the first furry community I really loved being a part of and it's been a big positive influence for me. Thank you for this amazing comic and I look forward to whatever the futute holds. ^^

GameCobra

That's one big revelation at the end there, Tarot. Quite the heckraiser. X3 It's hard to believe the comic is over at this point as well, but this ending actually has me excited for what's to come when you're ready to come back. I been reading the comic since the introduction of Spo, but stayed for the Sandwiches and this ending just rekindled my expectations more than ever. Been reading the comic for 14 years and it's helped me out alot in life and i'm eternally grateful, Rick. :)

larsrocks

Hey Rick. I was thinking about this this morning but I was wondering if you have thoughts on doing a quick 1-2 panel comic of where each of the many characters of the story are. There are so many beloved characters in the story but the ending focused on mostly new characters. Just curious.

rcmaniac25

Every story has an end. Somehow didn't expect this one to end as it seemed like a slice of life with random side adventures. But awesome on the completion and looking forward to the other stories.
