The Global Black Girl

As a DS, formerly very poor, black woman, I definitely feel excluded and it is on purpose and gate kept by especially privilege denying light skin women/men.

T.j. Hanna

What I noticed about social media & YouTube (started online in 06’). How open and free were able to be before our country turned it into huge payola. First black children were told, playing video games was a waste of time. Currently, there’s millions of participants making money, doing just that. Black women could assemble wherever across the country & get tips on hair care & other personal things. Fast forward, Head n Shoulders has Shea butter in its products (supposedly). You look for stuff to improve your life experience when there’s hardly anything around. Aka make lemons out of lemonade. As soon as your take a sip, boom! Here’s everyone else raiding you for profit. Overall, listening to Serene & other black women (especially DS women) over the years, made me grateful I didn’t ignore those ideas but actually listen.
