So I actually loved this. You know I only refer to my son as “the kid” or “the boy” and some of it is for these exact reasons. I’ve never wanted somebody who knows me to feel like they can just walk up to my child and talk to him like they know him. He’s also very charismatic and wants to do YouTube. My mother is constantly supporting this. She feels like he could be famous. But I personally don’t feel children should be famous. Honestly the older I get, I don’t even like child actors. Kids shouldn’t be working. And Hollywood or fame in general is something you should get into once you’re a fully developed adult. And you find as kids get older they don’t like taking pictures and don’t like their parents posting them. But we as a society still don’t see children as humans with autonomy. So it isn’t all that surprising that this is an issue. And with social media causing such higher rates of suicide in children these days, why put them out there for people to judge? My son couldn’t handle mean comments. He can barely handle normal roast sessions at school.

"Google...How we gon raise these kids?!?!" 😂 That could be a hot t-shirt for parents. But I never understood posting where you are all the time and personal info. I told my job to not send out a birthday email for me as I don't want random associates to know it. Can't imagine how these kids legit won't have any privacy growing up. Even if laws get enacted to remove online footprint upon kids approval, I just shudder that there are people that already screenshot & recorded it anyway. Like you said, kids fresh out the womb, with time & date stamp, hospital, weight etc out on the internet. Damn near can recreate some kids birth certificates if wanted smh. Hoping if I ever have a kid my partner will be on the same boat as to not put their image & info out their until they're grown enough to want that for themselves.
