–Magdaran Bael–
Odin examined his hands a few more times before snapping his fingers, sending in some sort of message, probably, as moments later, a thick stack of documents appeared on his table. He promptly took those and shoved them in the drawer of the table. He was confused as to why he did that.
Couldn't he just teleport the papers directly into his table? Why the need for that extra step? Was Odin trying to show him something? He did not know, but at the moment, his focus was on something else, so he let that go, his mind feeling far lighter than it usually did.
After a couple of minutes of his hand tingling as Odin’s spell continued to do their thing, Odin released his hand and then leaned in his chair, looking straight up, and exhaled as if he was tired from a huge burden on his shoulder.
“Damn you, Azazel.” He heard the God faintly curse Azazel.
Odin then addressed him, “Brat.”
“Yes?”
“We will be testing your healing thoroughly once I have time to make arrangements. As for your request, how much land do you need? And how secure? I assume you will be living there full time as well?”
“Yup. Not too big, but it needs to be secure, preferably both in terms of ease of deploying magical security and secrecy. If not both, I will prefer secrecy to be prioritised. As for living there, I will have a house there, but I might move around a lot.”
“I see. You need neutral territory, that is also not that well known around the world. Are you sure I can’t just give you a pocket dimension?”
“YES!”
Odin leaned back in his seat as he all but jumped out of his seat, his excitement palpable. After all, that was the one thing he had wanted from the start, the ultimate protection in his mind, a pocket dimension capable of nurturing life anchored to his very being.
He would just be carrying his garden with him at all times. It would be perfect.
“And are you willing to agree to the periodic maintenance associated with that? As you seem to be incapable of doing that on your own?” Odin asked him, dousing his excitement with cold water immediately.
“Periodic maintenance?”
“Yes, of course. What? Did you think I can just conjure up self sustaining pocket dimensions capable of sustaining life just like that?”
“I mean, you can do that, right?”
“Who do you take me for? Of course, I can do that. Doesn’t mean I should. Keeping even one such dimension active takes a percentage of my essence from my active reserve. I can’t risk that; I am sorry. So, you will have to make do with a pocket dimension that will have to be patched up every once in a while.
“What will be the duration of the maintenance? And more importantly, who else can do it?”
Odin glared at him with his one eye. “Brat, you are really deficient in some basic magic lessons. Once I make that dimension, aside from Gods of Space or Magic with higher attainment than me, no one can disturb the Matrix of that pocket dimension. And the maintenance aspect comes into play proportional to the size of the dimension. If you plant your Garden there and it becomes a forest in a decade, then you might need a visit from me in less than 30 years, and mind you, that does not come free.”
“....Not even Dimension Lost can do it?”
“Do you have a Longinus hiding in your soul right now? Or in your peerage?”
“....No.”
“Then, I am one of the few people who can do it, and knowing what I know of you, I am the only one who can do it for you.”
“I think I’ll take the land for now. The pocket dimension seems way too tedious. All the things you talked of were not listed in some of the books I read on pocket dimensions, in the Bael Library."
"Of course they weren’t. You devils would never think of creating life giving stable Pocket Dimensions, as it would never be beneficial in a war, as the magical cost would always outweigh the immediate war benefits. Why create a safe space for people to grow safely if you can invest that same time and effort into creating more soldiers, fight more battles, and gain more land, only to continue the cycle.”
“...I take it you are not a fan of Lucifer’s work.”
Odin’s reply was very dry, “Whatever gave it away?”
“When will the Devil side be ready to transport your Garden?”
“They seemed to be in a hurry, so maybe a week? Even less?”
“And that does not concern you?”
It should. It definitely did, but all of that was overshadowed by the relief he felt at finally getting the Garden out. He killed Zephyr, and while it was not even remotely as satisfying as he thought it would be, he was gone now, and there wasn't much he could do about that, except killing Zekram, which was ofcourse, on the list.
The best thing he could do right now was safeguard his garden, and for that to happen, if some calamity had to happen in the Underworld that forced the Satans to bend to his demands, then fine. He could maybe go over and help them with whatever problem they seemed to be having, if they needed it anyway.
As for Odin’s question, “It does. But getting the Garden out is my priority right now.”
“...Hmm. Good.”
There was silence in the office for a few seconds before Odin spoke up again, “I heard you fought with the Bael Devil?”
He gave the God a look, wondering where he was taking this, “Yes?”
“And you left him alive?”
“....Yes? I take it you are going somewhere with this.”
“....No. I was just curious."
Wow. That wasn’t ominous and confusing at all. Odin did not deign him an explanation, and he was sure that asking for one would get him nowhere as well, so he moved on to the next item on the list.
“So, about that meeting with Freyr, I was hoping to….”

New Lilith, Underworld
–Serafall Sitri—
“Ugh.” She collapsed into the couch with a pained groan, the pain more mental than physical, despite the few scuff marks on her dress, as well as the few holes that were the courtesy of one pissed off Zekram Bael.
Ugh. She was too tired to even wave her hand to change her clothes, just using her magic with a thought to replace her ruined clothing with fresh ones, and not the Magical Girl Levi-tan kind but Satan Lucifer, the Head of Foreign Affairs kind.
Satan, she hated these clothes so so much. She could be literally anywhere, doing anything but this, but noooo! She had to be roped in by her childhood friend Sirzechs into a revolution to overthrow the Satan descendants, and then fight people she called friends to death, then a few more people she knew by name to death, and then just random devils to death whose name or face she didn’t even bother remembering, because it was just easier that way.
After that, one thing led to another, and here she was, trying to do two multiple jobs all at once, all because their two Super Devils, arguably the most important pillars of Devil Kind, were kind of indisposed.
Yup. According to Ajuka, the last time he tried to do anything of his magnitude was with Rizevim, and the backlash back then hadn’t been anywhere close. Apparently, meddling with Fate, Casualty, Reality and Time had repercussions that not even a Super Devil of Ajuka’s power could handle.
Who could have known?
Honestly, she could have gone her whole life without knowing what Ajuka could or couldn’t do if he put his mind to it. In fact, to this day, she struggles to think of exactly how Ajuka could have railroaded Rizevim Livan Lucifer into something he probably did not want to do, all without firing a single blast of Demonic Energy in his direction.
And this time, he had probably done something that was even grander and far more incomprehensible to her regular Devil brain, so much so that it knocked him out of commission, putting the Underworld in its most vulnerable state in Centuries.
Sure, they could undo the seal on Sirzechs and unleash the strongest Devil in existence, but that would be a loose cannon attack, an absolute last resort, as according to the reports she read from Ajuka’s labs, Sirzechs could barely think straight when he entered his True Form voluntarily, let alone in his current state.
Right now, Sirzechs was calmed, his energy having been hollowed out by Ajuka, who somehow had the brilliant idea of using Sirzechs as a Demonic Energy battery, fueling his Kankara Formula to what effect? They did not know.
What she could say with absolute certainty was that it must be something truly massive to drain Sirzechs so much and then damage Ajuka as well. Honestly, why couldn’t Ajuka have the habit of documenting every single thought in his mind and then provide it to them in a shared document so they could scratch out the ludicrous ideas he has sometimes?
Oh! She knew why! Because she did not want to deal with the headache that would come with learning everything that went inside Ajuka’s head. She had a hunch that Ajuka did not look at them with nearly as much love and respect as she did with the other Satans. She knew that Ajuka’s line of thinking was fundamentally different from normal Devils, and she did not want to know more about it.
After all, even in the war, the only reason Ajuka even joined the fight, was because Sirzechs asked him to, and that was after the Astorath house had been slaughtered down to only their main line by Asmodeus House. That had just hammered in the fact that the regular thoughts and feelings of Devils could not be used as a reference point for the unique existence that was Ajuka.
It was probably half the reason why he developed something like the Kanakara Formula, because she couldn’t fathom not going mad having access to something as all encompassing as the Kankara Formula, given you had the juice to power it all.
And Ajuka had a lot of Juice.
The sound of Falbium sitting on the other side of the table made her crack one eye open and look at the perpetually sleepy man appear even more exhausted than expected.
“So, any new updates?” She asked, knowing the answer, but she couldn't remain silent for any longer without her mind pivoting to the most negative scenarios it could imagine.
“No. Ajuka has retreated to his bunker, where Sirzechs is kept. We only have access to Sirzechs’ seal, not even the floor, so all we can do is….wait.”
She gave a bitter chuckle at the reminder. “Yup. Satan Lucifer and Satan Asmodeus, reduced to doing nothing but wait.”
