Asgard

–Magdaran Bael–

“What in the fuck was that?” He almost exploded at Odin, who looked as unflappable as ever, sporting the same expression he did when he duked it out with Ajuka, and somehow called upon Thor to do some weird energy transfusion or something. It was clear to him that whatever had happened inside that energy circle was something that both the parties wanted.

Whatever it was, it was not a conflict by any means. Something happened, and it happened with consent from both parties. The issue with that was that both parties involved had some big brains, and could affect reality on a small scale, and could see so far ahead in terms of planning, that it was useless even asking them about their plans. Still, this whole thing came so out of the blue that he had to ask.

Ajuka and Serafall had left immediately, likely so that Ajuka could execute his portion of the plan while—

“Nothing I can tell you right now. Just remember what I told you before - Don’t be emotional.” Odin said before the God disappeared as well, leaving him standing in the middle of a ruined meeting room, with no one around, and no explanation whatsoever. It left him feeling a particular band of frustration that prompted him to go somewhere and destroy many things, out of anger.

But nope. He was better than that. So, he took a deep breath and, after taking a look all around him, disappeared from the spot, arriving back in his Garden. After that particular clusterfuck, that too without any explanation, he had to do something relaxing, and the best way to do so was work on his projects, or rather, his hobbies.

Then, he remembered the last thing he had added to the to-do list and decided to just expand his Lab instead. It would be beneficial to both him and Aldric, plus, it came with the added bonus of getting to demolish a bunch of walls and rebuild them later on. Surely, that did not come under rage destruction, right?

Shaking his head, he walked into the Inner Sanctum before teleporting into the Lab, having already instructed Aldric to come to the Lab to secure their projects to make space. Aldric arrived with a frantic look on his face, one that swiftly turned into sheepish embarrassment the moment he spotted the deadpan expression on his face.

“Sorry. I thought you’d already gone ahead with the destruction.” After that, Aldric and he got to work and moved every project from the primary Lab space, after which, he dismissed Aldric who was all too happy to just work on his version of the Mother Tree, as he looked at the now enchantment free walls of the Lab. He’d already raised protections outside the room to make sure he did not take out some load bearing wall or kick up a dust storm, so he was free to go all out.

He looked at the sledgehammer on the ground and put his hand on the handle, activating the enchantments on it, instantly increasing the gravity on the sledgehammer by a hundredfold. Even so, he was able to lift it singlehandedly, and it was made up of the densest material he could find, so he upped the gravity to the limit, which was somewhere around 400 times, and finally, at the stage, he felt some strain when he picked up the sledgehammer at the worst angle possible.

Grinning at the sensation, he hefted the hammer above him and just as he was about to bring it down, he paused, realising one fatal flaw in his plan of feeling good by mindless destruction.

The walls were currently without any protective enchantments, because he had not wanted to create a cascading failure when he broke the walls down. It was just how he built the whole thing, which is why he had to make sure that a single thing being brought down did not affect the entire lab enchanting structure. Now, that was well and good from an overall ward structure standpoint, but not so much for the thing he was trying to do here, which was have some fun while doing some destruction.

…..Huh. He supposed that he was of the Bael House, to enjoy a little mindless destruction.

Moving on from that, he put the hammer down and stepped out of the room to begin the task of laying down a new ward structure to make sure that every wall was divided into multiple sections, with every single section having a separate enchantment, so he would have more targets to hit.

It wouldn't do for the entire wall to come down with a single hit. It might seem tedious to enchant multiple sections of a wall just to break it all down later, but he was just that frustrated from what had happened in Asgard, and he just wanted to let those emotions out, so a little work was not going to deter him.

Which is why, after 5 minutes spent enchanting everything, he stepped back and knocked on one of the walls with his knuckles, and after making sure that the feedback was proper, was about to walk into–

“What are you doing?” he froze, turning around mechanically to find Aldric carrying a large glass pod, which held in itself a self sustained ecosystem, looking at him with a quizzical look on his face.

He cleared his throat, “Ahem. Nothing. Just make sure that all those samples are properly categorised by time and method of application, before coming back.”

“...Okay,” Aldric said before leaving, though he could see the man shaking his head in confusion.

With the Zagan gone, he all but skipped into the room, picking up the sledgehammer and activating the gravity enchantment on it before he happily slammed it down on the walls, creating a thunderous boom that was hopefully contained within the room.

After spending an hour or so carefully and systematically destroying all the walls, as well as the flooring and the ceiling of the lab, he got out and cleaned up, ready to work on the task at hand. It was a far better alternative to staying put and worrying about what Odin and Ajuka had planned and how he fit into those plans. After all, no matter how much he wanted to march down to Asgard and ask Odin about his plans, he knew that he was going to be unsuccessful until Odin himself wanted to meet him.

Shaking his head, he checked in on Aldric before moving to the Inner Sanctum for a nice snack before he had to work on churning out more products as the Pharmacist.

–Serafall—

Her vision flashed before she found herself back in New Lilith. More importantly, she found herself back in her office, Ajuka nowhere to be seen. Worse, the moment she read, she found that Ajuka’s lab was now locked down, even to her, breaking one of the rules all four of them had agreed to.

Her mind continued to run in circles as she tried to figure out what the hell had happened there, and after finding nothing, she teleported to the outskirts of Ajuka’s lab, determined to get in and ask him some questions. There too, she found the entire building locked, with no employee in sight.

She placed a hand on the giant forcefield of the building, and realised that no matter what she did, she was not going to break the forcefield here, which meant that Ajuka had utterly locked her and everyone out of the one place that housed both the Super Devils of their race. Critical assets, now out of reach of everyone.

Falbium was not going to be happy about this.

And she was proven right when Falbium marched into her office a few hours later, apparently having received the same memo as she did, fuming with the short and concise message Ajuka had given him. Atleast he was given something, she told herself morosely, utterly lost as to what was happening.

She had gone there with Ajuka in hopes that even a face to face meeting would net Ajuka some clues as to what exactly was going wrong. Even if Odin hadn’t granted them a private audience with Magdaran, which was well within their expectations, she had hoped that Ajuka would be able to glean something, but things turned out far beyond her expectations.

At first, she’d thought that Ajuka had attacked Odin, likely because he must have foreseen Odin attacking them as well, which meant that the future of their entire race was at stake, only to be proven wrong.

When she told this to Falbium, he went quiet before asking her all the details she could provide to him. She rolled her eyes and just replayed everything from her memory. It was not like she could forget something like that.

Falbium looked through the entire memory before going quiet once more, worrying her even more.

“What is it?” She couldn't help but ask Falbium.

“Odin asked Ajuak to get to the point of the meeting, and then Ajuka and Odin were both engulfed in a storm of their own energy, then Thor added his energy to the mix, completely shrouding them in the energy storm.”

She nodded. “Yeah, then Thor left, the energy storm abated, and Ajuka just brought us back to the Underworld without speaking a single word. He has been absent since then.”

“They used that energy for something,” Falbium spoke up suddenly. She paused, her thoughts going back to the energy storm and yes, it did seem like that but for…what….reason.

Her eyes widened as she recalled just what Odin was good at, and had suddenly gained a lot of proficiency in, and then she remembered what exactly Ajuka had done recently, and what the thing on his mind was when Sirzechs was put in that horrible torture chamber once more.

“They saw the future,” She whispered, stunned by the revelation.

Falbium, “Most likely. Ajuka as well as Odin both have some sort of future related powers. Ajuka told us that he would not be able to use that same method ever again. It also uses up so much energy that Ajuka remains weakened for years afterwards.”

“So, Odin used the spell provided by Ajuka. Ajuka guided the energy storm, and Thor supplied whatever the shortage was?” She asked Falbium, both of their eyes wide as they processed the theory.

“Ajuka did give Odin some kind of Ritual schematics in the beginning itself." She told Falbium, who nodded as they both kind of slumped and sat down.

No one could blame them. This was a lot to process. It meant, even if they were right, that both Odin and Ajuka had seen something that had prompted both of them into action, to the point that Ajuka had cut off all contact with them.

“Should we call Odin?”

Serafall sighed at the suggestion, “I don't think he will be picking up my calls, Falbium. Plus, if Ajuka is not talking to us, I don’t think Odin will either.”

Then, both of them spoke up at the same time, “Azazel.”
