Asgard
–Odin—
He sighed, sitting in his office, awaiting the arrival of multiple parties. Thor, Azazel, and Vali were all headed towards him. At this point, he was running somewhat blind. This middle part. This transitional phase between the things he had set into motion and the result of these actions was somewhat foggy even to his Sight. His enhanced sight, something he could enhance even further if he wanted to, simply by piggybacking off the massive Faith energy reserves that the God of Bible’s System had created in his absence.
It was such a massive source of energy just waiting to be used by someone who could understand the System, but he was wary of even touching that thing for a multitude of reasons. The most important of which was that it was Faith energy that was meant to be used by a particular Pantheon. Sure, he could maybe use it once or twice sparingly, if need be, without any adverse effects, but if he made it a habit, it was more likely he might turn into an unstable amalgamation, and with his current power level, that might just spell doom for the Norse Pantheon.
He sighed, controlling the urge to use that massive power to see, once and for all, exactly what it was that was keeping even his Sight at bay. Even powered by Thor’s massive power, and directed by the control that the Green brat had, they were unable to pierce past this veil. It was as if the very nature of this veil stopped them from peering past it, and both he and Ajuka had an instinctual understanding that if they truly wanted to peer past this particular Veil, the price they would have to pay would be astronomical.
Hence, both of them had chosen to skip that step and looked towards the end. And while it was not ideal, nothing really was. They had done all they could to steer the majority of the futures they could see towards a better one, and he just hoped it was enough. After all, for this, he had unhesitatingly sacrificed his relationship with Magdaran.
Magdaran was the one Devil who was going to be just as, if not more, useful to the Norse as a whole than either him or Thor. Capable of elevating beings who had stagnated for centuries, simply by consuming the products he ate and training afterwards, which too he could facilitate and hasten using his power, was an advantage that most people in the world would kill for.
And now, it was guaranteed that Magdaran would want nothing to do with him. After all, as far as he had seen, right now, Thor had managed to push Magdaran to the point that he must have fused with the Mother Tree atleast halfway through. With the process reaching that phase, there was no going back. After that, Magdaran was going to have to complete it, and while it would certainly devastate him, gaining a Super Devil out of it would be worth it.
For their entire world, and to win against the Beast at the End of Times, they needed all the help they could get. While he hadn’t seen that far ahead, he knew that Magdaran would not have crossed the final step required to reach the next level of power in the next few decades, and that was time they simply did not have.
And while Magdaran was at the current level of power, they would lose out on a tried and tested Super Devil who was powerful and ready to work against the Apocalyptic Beast. Ajuka had assured him that Sirzechs would be doing all he could to win against that beast, which tracks. From what he could tell, of the current crop of Satans, the Red Haired one was somehow both the strongest one and yet the one with the most emotions.
It was a particularly interesting combination that allowed him to make the final decision, and he decided that Sirzechs was going to join him in the final battle, one that could potentially be even to their deaths.
Shaking his head, he looked to the side as he felt Azazel teleport in, and moments after that, Thor came as well—
His entire body froze before he exploded into action, armour manifesting around his body as well as Gungnir appearing in his hands, his body taut and ready for action, as he mentally sounded the alarms to summon every single combat capable God, and send the civilians into the bunkers. It would be necessary, especially if Lucifer had somehow managed to injure Thor or trick Thor into coming here, bypassing all the protections that—
His one eye narrowed, before it widened in realisation.
The area in front of him flashed white before, with a flash of distant thunder, Thor and Vali Lucifer, the last living Lucifer, as well as the new bearer of the Demonic Brilliance of Evil Light, appeared in front of him.
So, that’s the veil that they couldn't get past. It made sense. Demonic Brilliance of Evil Light had the unique property of being poisonous towards Demonic Energy, Divine Energy, and even the energy from the World Tree. It was simply the antithesis to most known forms of energy in the world, which is what made Lucifer so dangerous to every single being. Why most Pantheons had not jumped into the fray at the get-go, despite the war reaching into their operations.
It was because the Mad Angel had created some abomination of energy that could poison Gods orders of magnitude stronger than himself, and kill them. Sometimes, the energy pushed them into suspended animation, constantly forcing them to use all their essence to push the energy into a stalemate. He shuddered, remembering the fate of some of the Egyptian Gods who had tangled with the Fallen Morningstar before he founded the Devil Race.
Azazel appeared a moment later, his face frantic with emergency, only for his eyes to widen when they saw Vali standing there, silver energy crackling around her, as she glared at him. No doubt blaming him for telling Azazel about her activities. Well, if she didn’t want to be caught like that, she should have thought twice before engaging terrorists who were going to deal so much damage to their world that they would find themselves so weakened in the face of the final apocalypse.
He had choice words for the Infinity and Great Red, regarding what he saw within the God of the Bible’s System, but that was for later, once they were done with all the preparations to gather as many strong combatants as they could get.
Judging from Vali’s power levels, she was also a Super Devil now, one with the potential to grow just as, if not stronger than Sirzechs Gremory. Plus, by the very nature of her power, she was going to be far more useful than a single Super Devil who could use only a single power at the maximum level.
His smile widened, relief filling him at the thought of Vali becoming a Super Devil. She was obviously a far more cooperative Devil than Rizevim was ever going to be. It should be—
“Why did you do that?!” Vali stomped forward, her silver aura crackling around her, responding to her emotions. They might have to train that out of her. The End Beast was no small matter. It could warp minds simply by being in proximity. They were going to have to engage in constant combat with the Beast while repairing the seals that the God of the Bible left behind and stupidly thought that he would be able to maintain them once he was done with the Great War.
Still, no matter. It was the passion of youth, and while her power could be a program, they still had more than enough leverage on Vali. Azazel would easily be able to train her and make sure she listened to orders. There was simply no margin for error here. Everything had to go perfectly, and while Azazel was clearly fond of Vali, he was also old enough to know that sometimes, emotions had to be put in the backseat.
Gungnir and his armour both disappeared as he spied Thor’s mangled hand from the corner of his vision before refocusing his attention on Vali, her threat level rising even further in his mind. If she could do that to Thor without losing any one of her limbs, then it was just a testament to the power of Demonic Brilliance of Evil Light, especially since it was now in the hands of a Super Devil.
“Vali Lucifer, I am glad that you have taken the next step in your–”
“Why did you do that to Magdaran?!” Vali got in his face and snarled, making him sigh internally. The passion of youth. While her anger was justified, she was still too young and tangled up within her emotions to see the bigger picture and make objective decisions. Once again, something that could be resolved with training.
As for her question, he knew that just telling her that it was for the greater good would just get an explosive reaction, so he went with the truth: “Because that was the better option.”
As expected, his blunt answer made her pause for a bit. Then, the anger came roaring back.
He sighed. It was going to be a long day.

New Lilith, Underworld
–Serafall–
She sighed, not knowing what to do with the information she had just received. As much as she hated to admit it, Lord Agares was right. The information within the file she had gotten from the man had spurred her into action; only she had no idea what to do. With Ajuka missing, all she could do was share that information with Falbium, who was sitting with her, here in Ajuka’s lab, his gaze blank, staring off into the distance.
The moment he had seen the pictures and realised what he was looking at, the man had simply slumped and looked as if he had given up right then and there. Ever since then, they had been sitting in Ajuka’s lab, not knowing what to do.
Without Ajuka, waking up Sirzechs might result in them injuring him, but not waking him up meant risking the spread of this information, and who knows what Vali herself might do. If she made some kind of statement that resonated with the underworld and Sirzechs was not there to counter it, then they might just—
She paused, as she felt something. A spike of energy. Falbium felt it too, as his one eye was cracked, looking behind her. Then, that spike returned, only this time, it was far bigger. Whipping her head to look behind her, she looked at the terminals that Ajuka used. He directly used the Kankara Formula to interface with them, and as such, it was nearly incomprehensible to normal Devils like her.
It was glowing bright red, and she knew that it was not good.
Exchanging glances with Falbium, she got off the couch and walked to the Terminal, only to pause as she saw Ajuka standing there, with his back to her. His hand was glowing with his signature Kankara Formula.
Equal parts relief and equal parts anger flooded her being as she stomped forward, ready to finally get some fucking answers, only to pause once more, her vision being flooded with red, a rather familiar energy bubbling up to the surface of the entire facility.
Despite Sirzechs being locked in deep within the Lab, the fact that his energy could travel up so far, and with such intensity. It could only mean…
Smiling, she rushed forward, her power able to rebuff the Demonic Energy that Sirzechs was leaking, relief flooding her as she realised that Sirzechs was back.
Thank Lucifer!
