Girl, the manga artist of this, Mr. Hajime Isayama really has a wild and creative imagination. The storyline of Attack on Titan is so incredibly written. This was my second anime, first was Haikyu!! but I was opened to the realm of animes after watching AOT! Both these animes are so close to my heart <3

i remember these chapters of the manga coming out, i was TERRIFIED. the beginning of this season is so eerie and creepy and i was so confused 😭i feel like season 2 is a big shift in the series, not as big as season 3 (iykyk) but man it's good!

mike’s death is so sad like he was 2nd to levi but he clearly was afraid of the beast titan (of him and the fact that it was his first time seeing a titan talking, how crazy is that) and even tho he found the strength to try to fight him, it wasn’t enough and he was ripped apart alive😭 i loved him sm and i’m so glad you recognized him on the no regrets ova because i feel like not many people realize it’s him😿 nobody knew how he died and he was kinda on erwin, levi, hange’s friend group, i miss him even to this day

The animation is indeed different because Studio WIT took over. S1 was animated by Production IG and Studio WIT is a studio under Production IG. Studio WIT will animate this season and S3. S4 will be animated by a different studio, MAPPA. They all did a good job! AoT is a monster to animate lol 😅

Lol I remember after 4 years of waiting and seeing how the first episode ended, just thinking "wow this is indeed AoT...I feel sick now" 😅. I think Miche's death was the only death ever to make me feel sick to my stomach. It was just so brutal the way he died ...

I think the reason why Sasha couldn't kill that titan initially with the axe is because the axe was probably not sharp enough to completely slice the nape. The swords they use with their ODM gear is plenty sharp and also made of a special material iirc. Also a little fun fact, Sasha was originally supposed to die here. When Isayama's editor found out, he actually went into the bathroom to cry. After that he and the rest of the writing team convinced Isayama to not kill Sasha, that it wasn't her time yet. And so, Sasha lived 😊!

Loved the Sasha/Ymir/Krista scene as well! You get to basically see a clash of ideologies in this scene. One is being true to yourself regardless of what others say, and the other is being whoever you want because it is your right to do so as an individual.

Honestly I feel the same way! Not a lot of anime makes me attached to minor characters but AOT is one of the few anime’s that makes me attach to minor characters. I really loved team leader Ian when they were trying to retake trost district, I was so sad that he died then 😭😫
