I've never seen the original Spiderman movies so I wanted to sit down with my mom and watch them! we love the recent Spiderman movies so we thought this would be fun!

I'm here for more Toby spider-man, for me these movies are the best, the 2nd is also so good. That kiss is still one of my favourites kiss scenes , it was everywhere at that time😆 And William Dafoe as villain 💯

This was a great watch especially since you didnt know Peter's classic origin story! The tom holland version was changed for the mcu because this story had been told so many times. Also your point about why peter couldn't go to the doc is true and im pretty sure he mentions it in the comics (I could be remembering wrong). Plus I've also seen people point out that peter knew his aunt and uncle weren't well off and that his uncle had lost his job so it makes sense that even being super sick and not knowing what was going on he wouldn't risk sticking them with medical bills. Would definitely love to see your reaction to the others

A question for the ages "I like to earn what I get" IN THIS ECONOMY??? 1:13:10 now that I know they just hooked up MJ to a mannequin I can't unsee it now lmao I kinda have a theory Jameson knew spiderman was good which is why he didn't give peter away *maniacal Green Goblin laugh* Harry: Dad is that you? 💀💀💀 BOY Mans is looking SEXY AS HELL in the rolled up button down black shirt with the top buttons undone and the belt OOF. By mans I mean Norman when he gives Harry a hug I think the reason the Tom Holland movies fall a little short is cause they don't show the origin. The writers probably thought "it's already been shown so many times, people know the backstory, they don't need to see it again" but I think that's what makes people resonate with Spiderman so much. The fact that he's just a quiet kid who has this massive power thrust upon him. How he handles it and how much he loses and his reaction to that...it makes for a very compelling character. Which is why I think the third movie is the best one, you get to see how his loss affects him and his life. The life of Spiderman is always a tragic one...

This was such a huge movie when it came out. The effects, for this era, are absolutely amazing. Partially even better than many of nowadays' CGI, in my opinion. Great reaction! Both movie franchises represent different comic eras of the Spider Man arcs and Peter Parker as a character.. both are great movie franchises!

Thank you so much for this wonderful reaction, Caitlin! I absolutely love Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy with Tobey Maguire. It has fantastic direction, great pacing, strong performances, and genuine emotional depth. I'd like to share my interpretation of one particular scene. During the Thanksgiving dinner, Peter is wearing a green shirt—the Green Goblin's color—while Norman wears a blue shirt with a red tie, the colors of Spider-Man. Harry's outfit combines green and red, making him seem caught between his father and his best friend. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but it made me wonder if the costume designers were subtly foreshadowing both the conflict and the connection between these three characters.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned in the comments before, but the cafeteria scene where MJ slips, he catches her, and then catches all the lunch items on the tray.... THAT WAS LEGIT. No CGI. Apparently it took a crazy amount of takes, but Tobey did dat shit. Lol. 💅
