Yeah... the way I was so upset when we first saw Carl was bit. I admit.. I stopped watching this episode. I didn't come back till the next season, and that day I forced myself to watch this season again- and it still pissed me off lol. So hopefully you can push through it, and get to next season without calling it quits. You guys make it bearable to watch this episode. Keep up the good work, I hope you're overall enjoying this series. 💜

Dumbest mistake they ever made on this show. I still can't understand why they would kill off Carl, he is pivotal to this whole story.

There's a bunch of rumors that Carl got killed off cause Chandler was gonna turn 18 and they didn't want to pay for another adult actor or something. He had already bought a house near the filming location and everything cause he thought he was gonna be around for a while.

I'm so sick of this cutting back and forth, I feel like I have no idea what is happening 3/4ths of the episode. Like how certain characters got to where they are or why other characters are suddenly somewhere else. And because they didn't show them getting there, now there's shoehorned lines to catch the viewers up. "I went here and then here to get blank." I feel like it worked well enough when it was done sparingly as an important reveal but it's happening every single episode now and it's getting annoying.

Oh girl this is when I TUNED out of the show I was so angry! Carl was Rick’s whole motivation and for him to get bit??? Ridiculous to me at the time and there was so much drama surrounding it too and so many rumors about how it was handled bts.. I think chandler did a great job with Carl but my theory is that the writers couldn’t see him as a leading man for the show and carry that weight like say an Andrew or Norman does..I hope that doesn’t sound mean cuz i am a fan of chandler i just think with how money supposedly got tight back then they preferred to preserve the actors who were just on another level if that makes sense. Maybe if the writers invested in the character more instead of just pushing him to the sidelines over time things would have been different. ☹️

for me and for a lot of people after this incident , we stopped watching the series completely so we can keep some good memories about the show specially the first 5 seasons and to not disturb them further more from watching these dump and illogical actions

A lot of fans speculate that the reason they chose to kill off Carl from the Walking Dead was because they didn’t want to pay him an adult actors salary as he was about to turn 18 at the time. Apparently the actor had just bought a house near the set and planned his college schedule around filming but this reason for his being written off was never confirmed as they said it was purely a story decision to further evolve Rick’s character. I remember being incredibly shocked at the time this episode came out because Rick had already lost his wife and so many other people and Carl’s character had evolved so much since the first season I genuinely thought he would make it to the end. But overall I really do like this episode and the next one given the circumstances. That scene where Michonne just goes crazy on that savior with her sword honestly surprised me a little bit because while we’ve seen her act that “crazy” I feel like. But I also gotta say that she’s also my absolute favorite character in the show sooo also kind of awesome to see her do that as well 😂 and her scene at the beginning where she’s saying goodbye to Judith and they give each other a little kiss is adorable. Michonne is basically her mother at this point.

We were SUPPOSED to think it was Daryl's and Tara's fault they got out... or at least we were supposed to assume it... so, you were on point to think that. It wasn't a month between Carl getting bit and now. He got bit, brought Siddiq back to the sewer and what we just watched happened latter the same night. I get why Mama-G thought that though, so much has happened since then that it seems forever ago. :)

This is where I considered to stop watching this show because killing Carl was literally the stupidest decision they made. And all because they didn't want to pay the actor adult wages once he turned 18 🙄 like, he was the most important character in my opinion because he was always Rick's whole motivation and he was supposed to beat this world

Carl’s death is the only death that I really see as a straight up mistake. When Hershel died, I CRIED and had a hard time getting over it while watching the show at first. Same with Glenn. Etc. but with those I can understand. I’m not mad mad about it even though I wish we still had the characters. I still get emotional on the rewatch. But I wouldn’t call those deaths mistakes…………….. …..Carl? Are we fucking serious? CARL? To this day, I think killing Carl was a mistake. They should’ve never done it. Makes me mad to this day.
