Season 9 LETS GOOOO!!! So glad Gregory is gone lol his character was insufferable. Not a single likable thing about him. Daryl’s definitely right about Rick being the reason everyone is separated. I don’t blame Rick for saving Negan as he’s just honoring Carl’s last request. But Maggie also has a right for wanting him dead. There’s no right or wrong answer because they both have valid reasons for doing what they’re doing. Why on earth would Maggie want to go back to Alexandria to the place Negan is…makes no sense and I understand Rick wants Maggie to visit but it was a wild request as if he doesn’t know she feels some type of way about how things went down letting the killer of her husband live at the end of the war. Also gotta say I love Carol and Ezekiel together. I think they’re cute and Carol definitely deserves to be happy after Ed. Corny is A LOT BETTER than abusive and they just have really good chemistry imo. I like that even though at first she thought he was a little weird she allows him to be “The King” of his community when they’re together it feels like he can also be more his normal self and not have to put on an act all the time. BTW I don’t know if you remembered it or not but Maggie and Jesus were talking back in I think season 7 about life before the Walkers and Jesus mentions something along the lines of finding it hard to get close to people before neighbors, friends, boyfriends…” Maggie and Jesus just have really good chemistry on screen and they’re close friends but Jesus is gay lol. But I do agree I think if that wasn’t the case they would’ve been a pretty solid couple. Also I’ve said it before, i’ll probably say it even more but I just love Rick and Michonne together. They just make sense to me and while them getting together was so sudden I always felt like that chemistry was there and I even more love their family dynamic in that opening with Rick Michonne and Judith ❤️ I’m probably one of the few who isn’t a Lori hater, I mean I only liked them together in beginning because that was his wife before the apocalypse and they had a child together but considering she wasn’t on the show too long, then Michonne being introduced and seeing her and Rick’s chemistry, friendship, loyalty and love develop over time I also can’t deny that I love them together SOO MUCH MORE. It’s also cute seeing Michonne be a mother because at this point Judith is her daughter 😂 I can’t wait to see you both continue the rest of not only this season but the show. I know you’re both ahead which is good but CRAZY there’s only 3 seasons left!!

"this is happening too fast" to Carol and Ezekiel. Meanwhile Judith is talking in full sentences now, and drawing, she's gotta be like 5 now??? So maybe like 3/4 years have passed? Judiths age has always been dubious but I don't remember her ever talking before Wait now that we're seeing Maggie's baby I'm so lost on this time skip. Baby Hershel looks like 6-10 months. Maggie never looked even remotely pregnant so ar most this time skip was like a year and a half?? I know it's not REALLY important but I do wish they had been more consistent with Judith. God the writing has improved massively and so obviously, it doesn't even feel like the same show as last season. People are actually sitting down and talking like real people. It's still slow paced but we're actually building character relationships up with that time, it's so nice. I'm genuinely hooked again

There's a year and a half between season 8 and 9. I am pretty sure the events of season 7 and 8 only take place across a few weeks, so thats why it feels much longer.

You're right, I didn't get everything the first time watching the show... the more you see it the more you pick up.... and you two are picking up a LOT, that is one reason I really like your reactions to this. BTW, one thing I think you missed was in season 7 when Jesus told Maggie that he was gay. He didn't say 'gay' but he talked about 'boyfriends'.

Ezekiel and carol make so much sense to me lol. I feel like I love them together. It never felt weird or off to me. Lol. The only couple throughout this show that I really was confused by and didn't understand at all was Abraham and Sasha. Lol. But that's cuz they didn't really show us anything and they didn't act like im and rosita had issues or whatever. So I was like whhhhat? Then one that's coming up but we haven't seen them yet so I ain't saying it.

When maggie and jesus were sitting on the stairs outside the trailer he talked about boyfriends and you went oooop so I thought you caught it was him saying he was gay. Then your mom said something and yall started talking about something else. I remember it cuz I was excited for yall to find out jesus was gay cuz I honestly thought it was so cool when I was originally seeing the show. Like we dont get characters where them being gay isn't their identity basically. Gay characters are often times only gay. Lol. They have no outside interests of personality other than being gay. I feel like its hard to explain but gall know what i mean. Not only that they dont portray more than 1 type of person usually as gay. So there's not much representation at all. So when they have jesus as a strong leader, protector, brave, good fighter, strong. Most of what he is as a character are things media doesn't usually portray gay people as. So when it was just casually thrown in like a detail that didn't matter about him no different than if maggie said her ex boyfriend and she didnt have a reaction because it's normal and fine which it is was just soooo cool to me &&not what I expected from media in general but especially a "zombie show" i feel like now we do get a little more representation but not enough still in that way. At the time it aired tho I was really blown away by how they did it. I think you forgot he's gay tho.
