man, kim learning about the actual status of minji's social life at the end there had me tearing up. so ji-sub's acting thus far has been compelling, but the way he portrayed that emotional shock as a parent is.. that felt too real. i come from a single parent household and have seen this play out almost the exact same way for my parent, and it's unfortunately not an uncommon situation for single parents … emotional shock, guilt, recalling instances in their head where they were critical towards their kid's (seemingly) odd or out of character behavior and then connecting the dots. like, him thinking about how he told his daughter to be quiet in a conference with the parents of a girl she was accused of bullying and assaulting, maybe even realizing in hindsight that what minji needed most was for him to be on her side. pair that with the fact that kim doesn't actually have the time to sit in that and let it settle, i just know we're going to see this man go on a RAAAAMPAAAGE throughout this series
