LOVE connie! My favorite one out of the new cast. And without spoiling anything (since your mother mentioned it)- I was really rooting for her and Daryl to become a thing. Alpha is cruel asf. I’m sorry yall are growing tired of the show, I gotta say, that didn’t set in until much later for me. I actually quite enjoyed the big time jump and all the freshness that came with it bc that was exactly what she show needed for me to not grow tired of it. Rick’s absence is definitely a major point in it all being so different, but I actually really liked it. But I guess it all depends on personal preferences. I hope you guys grow to like the show again bc except from a few rough episodes somewhere in season 10 where i just did not give a damn about what was happening, this is genuinely a 10/10 show for me and I really loved this season specifically. Much love to you guys, thank you for the consistent uploads.

Alpha storyline was not my favourite either but it gets more interesting at the end of season 9 leading into 10

I understand your frustration but " just shoot them " is what we did with negan and we paid a very hard price for it and found out just how many savious there was . Also at this point they barely have amo si I don’t think they could shoot hem with arrows fast enough 😅

Don’t worry Negan was the longest villain we had from season 6 - season 8 it was to much for me too lol but this season they do it right and give us flashbacks you’ll probably enjoy season 10 better and you’ll love the one who live spinoff 💕

I really like the time jump and how different everything is. You kind of would expect for things to change over that length of time. It isn't the same without Rick, but Judith makes up for it a bit. She is my new favorite character. This storyline is way better than season 8 IMO.

I really liked the time jump, I was getting tired during season 7-8 and it give so much fresh vibe that I really liked. I also never really minded Rick being gone, since he was never my favorite character so Judith really makes up for him for me

😬😬😬 I’m gonna be honest…once Rick “died” it was never the same for me. Yes there’s some moments that are cool, but me and my mom didn’t really love the new enemies we come across from here on out 😅 It really surprised that so many people hated season 8 and loved season 9 cause me and my mom were the opposite lmao We still have fun of course but yeah the show kinda starts falling off for us moving forward. Still have some cool episodes left tho!

Tbh I can’t disagree with you the show felt kinda empty after Rick left… also I think a lot of people didn’t like season 8 because they kinda milked the whole negan and the saviours arc but tbh I think the whisperers were crazy enough to me to lock in back to the show again esp after losing Rick so that’s why I was surprised you girls don’t seem to fuck with it as well lol

I feel like a lot of these characters didn't really get a lot of screen time over the years despite being "main" characters. We got small storylines here and there but we never spent a lot of time fleshing them out as main characters. So now without Rick, it feels a little bit empty. Throughout this entire show it has always been the Rick show. We were viewing everything through Rick's eyes for the most part....it just feels like a completely different show without him. Which isn't necessarily a bad show...but like your mom said, it's not the walking dead.

I think it's cause the writing improved massively during season 9. I feel like all of season 7 & 8 I was constantly nitpicking everything because it all felt so forced. Characters were stuck repeating the same two things over and over again and talking in riddles. Situations seemed to go bad just for the sake of the plot. Like Lucille getting in the way of Rosita shooting Negan. OH MY GOD THE PLOT ARMOR ON NEGAN. I was genuinely so done with the show but I'm actually engaged in watching these episodes again even though I feel uncomfortable and empty since Rick left

I'm kind of with Henry on this. Enid was talking about how life is more than just surviving, talking about how Carl gave her hope because he had such a big heart. And then we're just gonna turn in an abuse victim to their abuser???? They should've talked her into leaving the group once they returned her or made it known she'd have a place with them. SOMETHING. ANYTHING. I don't think Henry is going about it the best way but I do think he has a point and if it was Carl (I feel like he's basically getting Carl's storylines), the group would actually listen to him

Jerry is one of my favorite side characters i love seeing . I'm happy he got a family. Connie ( the lady who does asl) is also one my favorite side characters. Yeah this storyline was 50 /50 for me. It was hard watching this show without rick since he was basically the person from the start of the show that we saw his journey on day 1. I'm glad they did age judith I like her character now.

Yeah season 7 and 8 were tough to watch😩 but also had some good episodes and scenes tho. I feel like as i hated negan atleast he was fun and entertaining to watch but the millking and the plot armor made it kinda annoying lol but this season got me back a lil even tho it's really hard without rick being here

I give grace to villain arcs because they are straight from the graphic novels. But I also get the emptiness felt with the departure of Rick. In real time I was skeptical of my continuing to watch it — but I hung in there and ultimately glad I did. There were enough moments until the end of the show to keep me interested. Also I think when the show originally aired we had some BTS pretext surrounding Rick and his presumed death. Still a tough pill to swallow … Regarding guns - six years post Rick, munitions are low.

Carol clearly doesn’t love Ezekiel back, poor guy. She loves the distraction from reality. Ezekiel’s side mission is a levity point but is so ridiculous. Connie is one of my favorites and is a secondary ship for Daryl for me, I prefer him with Carol. She’s so amazing for that move with the baby. I love her sister Kelly too. Alpha and crew are my favorite villains, in the whole show. Poor Daryl clearly didn’t want to give her back but also needed to protect Hilltop, I feel for him because that a lot of weight on his already self inflicted guilt ridden shoulders. Walkers have voice boxes, they don’t have the brain function, beyond kill eat move, to do anything but groan. They couldn’t groan without a voice box.

Seasons 9, 10, and 11 are in my top 5 I love the show so much more in the last 3 seasons (4 and 5 are the other two).
