I was waiting for this one. It made sense why michonne was cautious with new people especially since it was the person she knew that betrayed her. Yeah the show does feel different without rick . Since you guys finished the show the actress who played maggie had some conflict behind the scenes due to pay i believe that's why we don't see her much in season 9 she was also the lead in a new show but it got canceled it was like a comedy cop drama type it was only one season .

Now that you guys are done with the show. Maggie was filming another show during this season, Rick wanted to leave the show and be with his family. He was supposed to die under that tree in season 8 but they went another direction which resulted in The One Who Live.

To me it was VERY valid cause this is just too much of a traumatic thing to go through and I would have done the same thing. I hate you guys didn’t enjoy this season as much as it was one of my favs but I totally respect it. Hope you liked the next 2 seasons a little better. Its understandable why Michonne guarded as much as she did. But the only fault I see with it was that people can change over time. For instance, the Michonne that we have now is not the deep dark person we see her as. She had been thru alot, and had changed her. Time and circumstances can change a person. The friends that we have that Michonne chose to guard against was wrong. I have mixed feelings about the whole thing. We have a better understanding why, but it was still a bad choice.

To me knowing most of twd bts lore, the cast got too big sort of like it is now so side characters had to die 🤷🏿‍♀️ but our beloved main characters what's now been revealed is that those who got killed had other career endeavors, chose to leave/move on, or it was basically issue and tensions with "management" resulting in their characters death or temporary (but mostly permanent) absence. Though I will say that Carl's death was the biggest "shock value" because there was no bts reason but to shock the fans. The rest fall in line with the comics but with different characters for more attempts 🤦🏿‍♀️ Personally I think the show went on too long because of the cast members who stayed and by this I mean their characters got focused on and to me they weren't much of a draw in. S11, and maybe even s10, definitely did not need that many episodes but I get that they wanted to go out with a bang. Plus with the start of the pandemic limited the amount of people they could film with

Yeah it wasn't the same for me since Andrew left. Rick and Michonne were my favorite characters. However, I still got through the last 2 seasons because I an a diehard fan of the show.

Small detail after a few rewatches but when Daryl walks out of the building there's blood on his knives, so I think it's been to be assumed that he had to do the same inside😭

Judith's actress is great but honestly I hateeeee the way they wrote her. That moment where the walker has her and she's screaming for her mommy is the only moment we've seen her be an actual kid. As someone who has babysat kids for so many years, I just find it so hard to believe developmentally. I know it's the apocalypse so they've been raised differently but they should show that at the end of the day they're still kids. I think Carl was done really well because he thought he was the shit but they showed him also being scared and doing dumb things and not being able to handle the consequences. And people hated him for that so I don't think they want to do the same for Judith. But I think that cheapens her character A LOT.

Agree. I think it's valid to be wary of people you knew before the apocalypse because you don't know how it's changed them. But the friends you made during? The ones who were with you through a literal war and so many other life and death situations? I don't think that's smart. Again I see where her mind was but I think it was an overcorrection in the wrong direction

This was such a good episode to showcase just how Michonne became the way she did. I remember the first watch too I was like “Girl what are you doing, this is not what Carl and Rick gave their lives for.” Only say Rick because they think he’s dead. But Michonne bringing in an old friend from her past whom she had been through A LOT of things together with prior, to then be betrayed by her and having to go through all that trauma and hell just to get her daughter back I would be insanely cautious of welcoming new people too after that. Her reasoning is valid, but it’s nice that she’s able to see that not all new people are going to be bad, and that the most important thing regardless is to help and protect those you already call family and love which I would say is thanks to Judith because she’s a smart little girl. She knows there’s going to be bad people but she knows the most important thing is to protect and be with their loved ones. I will also say the next episode is my absolute favorite in this entire season. ❤️ so excited to see your reaction to it!

Thats actually a great talking point, it did indeed start to feel very heavily that the character deaths were for shock value and ratings, especially with how they were done for the TV Show, in the comics it felt a bit different. But that's actually a point for the last 2 seasons of the show cause they just completely stopped killing off main characters and it got so stale because of it, like there were no stakes because you knew nobody was gonna die lol.

Michonne and Daryl looking for Rick breaks my heart, man. When Michonne finds his gun. Oh my heart 😭😭 *I feel like someone should’ve given y’all a heads up that Rick and Maggie would not be in this season at all (and Rick not for the rest of the main show.) It makes sense 100000% why these episodes would drag on and feel super slow if you’re waiting for Rick and/or Maggie to show up. I know y’all are not a huge fan of the plot regardless, but I still think it would’ve been more enjoyable for you that way. *Yeah, Rick and Lori never would have made it in this world because Lori stayed doing one of two things: either passively judging Rick for “not doing” what it takes to protect them or looking at him in complete horror and disgust when he did do what it takes to protect them. It was never gonna work.
