Trust us, we felt all the emotions when we saw all the pike victims. Understandable crashout 😅 Tara, Enid still hurt to this day. Damn to think back to when we first met Tara when she met the Governor so long ago and to have this be her fate. Ouch. To know that all the victims put up one HELL of a fight to try to save Siddiq and the others. RIP you legends

Ive been trying to decide how I feel about Alpha as a villain.....I think I like her, she's kinda campy in a grubby and gross sort of way. I feel like she's not really scary to me but I enjoy watching her scenes more than a lot of characters nowadays.

Yea i have to agree this episode is right up there with glen death. I have probably watched this show like ten times since it first came out and all the deaths still gets me😢😪.

The pike scene was canon in the comics, but it was Ezekiel and Rositia, hence the teasing of Gabriel looking for someone with Eugene who was last seen on screen with her and Carol's reaction before Lydia called out for Ezekiel. This in my opinion was a way to keep a canon moment, an attempt at a shocking plot twist when the last one was really Carl's death, and finally a way to downsize the amount of characters in the cast who've been in a couple of seasons. The characters killed who were ones people actually cared about, its sort of a collective census in the fandom that the fandom would've wanted more storylines to further their character development but they honestly had nothing left to develop besides maybe Tara.... And like I said the writers obviously heard the complaints of the fans saying there was too many characters to focus on and also the writers ultimately just wanted to move forward with our faves and new characters. For me honestly I didn't care for any of those who were killed not even Tara (mainly due to her actress being a horrible person and Tara stealing Michonnes hard work, her charter) or Enid because there was honestly nothing left to tell in her story that'd we'd have time to tell on screen 🤷🏿‍♀️ Also in the comics it was Carl and Lydia, so they really tried to give Henry what is comic cannon Carl's growing into an adult plotline and his tie into the whispers arc Also a super gross canon moment between Carl and Lydia in the comics is that Lydia actually licks Carl's missing eye socket, like all into it 🤮

I remember watching this live, and when it showed Gabriel and Eugene talking, as well as Siddiq's reaction knowing she was pregnant with his child, my heart was in my stomach! I enjoyed Tara's character, but I would've been crushed if it was Rosita.

If it was Rositia and with her being pregnant I would've stopped watching even though my faves are the members of The Grimes Family, then Daryl, Connie, Siddiq and Aaron I would keep up through online posts and just would've came back for the spin-offs 🤷🏿‍♀️

I do agree and think that everything that transpired was in fact Henry’s fault…I’m not mad at him for saving Lydia because I do like her character but I am upset for the fact that Tammy, Enid, Tara, and Henry died because of it. I also only feel bad for Henry dying simply because of Carol. Henry’s character alone I don’t really care about…when he died I wasn’t upset for him dying. I was upset for Carol having to lose another child. But this episode was one of the wildest I’ve seen since that episode Glenn and Abraham died for the simple fact that it wasn’t just two but it was 10 people. Again out of all the people that died I really only cared about 3 of the people dying, Henry for Carol. Also keep in mind Ezekiel said to Alpha when she was in disguise “It’s a shame we all don’t know each other anymore” the separation of all their communities for so many years played a HUGE part in the fact that Alpha was able to infiltrate the Kingdom during the fair. What really hits me now on rewatches is Siddiq’s speech at the end not about them dying but about them fighting back and protecting each other before they died. I know this is a tragic episode but definitely my top 3 of episodes for this season. Excited for the next one! Funny enough first couple times I watched this show I for some reason didn’t think there was a 16th episode (I had waited until the full season came out on DVD and episode 16 was on the disc with special features and I didn’t realize) and always skipped over it 😂 but I love the direction they went with next episode!!

Not that I'm defending him cause his actions are questionable at best, but I do feel like he's the product of the communities having a long period of peace. When there's no threats you get comfortable and safe. You forget that war is always looming. Especially being raised by Ezekiel and Carol. Carol probably overcompensated trying to shield Henry from the real world because of how badly her other attempts to prepare kids turned out. Ezekiel probably also instilled a strong sense of justice in him so he did what he felt was right. Say what you will about Henry but I feel like even if he wasn't attracted to Lydia I think he would have still tried saving her. I think something like this happening was inevitable tbh

I found a version of this on TikTok that cuts the music and Daryl calls her babe, when hen turns back to look at her after looking at Henry, at least that’s what I heard. It’s also very reminiscent of Sophia’s death where he held her through that too. Alpha is so sick in the head, that’s what makes her such a fantastic and interesting villain to watch for me, and Beta is just unhinged. I feel for Lydia, Connie, and Siddiq in this episode. My favorite episode of the season is next!! 🤭

I have never gotten through to this season……. So to see so many deaths………….. so many important people………… I cannot believe they did that….. Tara??????????….. ENID?……… Henry?????(even though he got on my last nerve) if I’m being honest, I thought they were going to show Rosita on that stick, and the deaf woman…. Wow………. I haven’t watched this show since I was a teenager, and now that I’m cat catching up with it, I’m shellshocked.

Didn't the Whisperers kill Jesus before we even took Lydia? This wasn't Henry's fault exactly. This is what these people do. Alpha is upset that Lydia doesn't want to be with her anymore and that is because of Henry... so in that sense, yes, it is Henry's fault.... but like Lydia first said "we were always going to kill you, that's just what people do now".... so they weren't safe, even if Henry didn't go after Lydia.
