Welp thats the end of season 9! Some banger episodes in this season but for sure wasn't our favorite. we move on to the next one! lol

It's a shame you guys didn't really f with season 9, it's one of my favourites, but very much each to their own. Hopefully you guys enjoy season 10, thats got some of my favourite eps in the entire show! and once again....thank you both for finishing the entire series, I know it took a lot of time and effort, but we're all very grateful and will keep watching till the end!

as someone who watched the walking dead live i stopped watching after season 8 and it took me YEARS to watch season 9-11. I would rewatch it again and again and just stop right at season 9. Watching it again with you guys made it a lot more enjoyable can’t wait for season 10!

Yeah to be honest.. I don’t think we really loved seasons 9, 10, or 11. There’s still great episodes but as a whole the show goes downhill for us. So don’t expect us to really mess wit the remaining seasons 😅 just know that there are still episodes we enjoyed just overall it wasn’t the same for us once Rick left and then other characters started leaving too so like our crew got shorter and shorter so yeah. I’m actually kinda surprised so many people wanted us to be so into the remaining seasons. I keep seeing comments about it. I’m just there sitting like “😬”….. Idk we can’t really change how we feel so I hope despite how we may voice that y’all don’t be too upset with us disappointed. That’s the thing about reactions. People watch to see how you feel about your favorite show, character, or season and sometimes we don’t feel the same 😭 But still excited to finished the show with you guys! Sorry for the long comment I just wanted to say this so I don’t have to keep explaining ourselves in the next seasons. Appreciate y’all sticking with us ❤️

Totally understandable and you're not alone with that. I love this show a lot and as you can tell from my picture on here, my favourite character definitely gets given more to do in these later seasons, so it's more enjoyable for me as a whole, but thats not the same for everyone. I completely understand losing slight interest, when more & more characters leave, but as long as you guys enjoy those big moments, thats what we want to see! You guys didn't really enjoy Season 9 as a whole, but your reactions to 9x05, 9x08, 9x14, 9x15 etc were fantastic and didn't disappoint, which makes it all worth while! I just know it'll be the same for those big moments in later seasons, so I can't wait to watch!

Okay but can we just talk about how out of NINE seasons, this is the first time we are seeing the winter months?? 😭😭 I really like this episode because it explores something we never really got a chance to see, and It's a little disappointing that with all the time they had, they didn't really explore the changing seasons more. loved your guys reactions to this season! I know it wasn't your guys favorite, but it was still fun to watch season 9 with yall

Guys it's totally okay to not have as much joy in the show anymore at this point. SO many people quit after season 7 and more quit after season 8. The people who stuck around and the people that did end up loving Season 9 (like me) are people that were 90% of the time watching the show for years and years as it aired live on TV. I grew up on the show, I started watching at 13 and the show ended when i was 21 so of course I loved it. But it's because I spent a lot of my life knowing and watching and learning these characters. It's just a different experience when being able to binge the show, it's harder to get attached to newer characters and I totally get that.

Completely agree. There's definitely so much nostalgia when you grow up with these characters. Watching it week to week, waiting for each episode, getting excited over the teasers for what comes next, and the trailers releasing at SDCC, it was such a fun time. Even when BTS pics would release of different actors filming the new season and you'd all get excited and speculate what was going on. This show will always hold such a special place in my heart, but I will never bash anyone who feels less in favour of it this late in the game.

You might be right now that I think about it. I remember them mentioning the winter a little bit, but yeah it would've been so interesting to see how they navigated it in the early seasons!

You made it!! My favorite episode of season 9! I hope you both love season 10 better (aka my favorite season), I get how this season can be frustrating if you really love Rick it’s personally my 3rd favorite season overall (4 is number 2). First the snow and the fact that this is our first snowy episode is so cool. The frozen walkers the cinematography of the snow is beautiful. I never shipped Carol and Ezekiel because it was based on a fairytale distraction for her, I personally could tell she wasn’t ever really into it, so I’m so happy that’s over. Though I do feel for Ezekiel, no hate on him. THE WAY EZEKIEL IS JEALOUS OF DARYL AND THAT CAROL WAS LEANING ON DARYL INSTEAD, it sent me. It is probably one of the major reasons I started shipping Daryl and Carol (like I saw moments prior but this episode starts my shipping of them and to me season 10 and on, like even into the spin off, gives me even more reasons). 🫠🥰🤭 “What do you see when you look at me?” “I see you.” 🥰🥰🩷🩷🫠🫠🤭🤭 I felt so sad for Lydia this episode. The poor kid is literally blaming herself when it’s not even her fault.🥺🥺 For Mama: I wasn’t going to say anything and I mean no disrespect, but, I can’t with the Lydia slander. She’s a teenager who was a brainwashed victim to her mother’s psychotic behavior. Try to understand that. She didn’t ask her mother to slaughter Henry, Enid, Tara, and the other 7 victims. You can not like her, fine, but it’s not on her. She’s not her mother nor is she responsible for her mother’s actions. Also Daryl basically adopting Lydia warmed my heart so much, I adore their relationship. Making sure she’s fed and yelling at people for treating her unkindly. They have my whole heart.💛 Negan saving Judith (and Dog), so sweet.🥹 The levity of the snowball fight is such a sweet moment for everyone.

You know despite Negan having been a horrible person, you said it yourself and I’ve said it watching this show, everyone is capable of change. We can keep him locked up, we can let him out of the cell temporarily or permanently…but regardless of how much trust he may or may not earn over time and well canonically 6.5-7 years have passed by the end of season 9. But knowing this no matter the amount of good deeds or choices he makes not a single one of the people from our group has any obligation to trust him completely, or forgive and forget partially or completely. Because every one of our characters is valid in feeling however they feel towards him. I will say…even though Negan may have threatened to kill Carl at the end of season 7…it’s clear he has a special bond with Judith and I personally believe he’d be willing to die to protect her. I mean he was quite literally the only one who jumped off that rope and ran after her with little to no hesitation. He’s definitely a complex character, was a really good antagonist during seasons 7 and 8 and bad or not Negan is humorous as hell 😂😂 you never know what’s going to come out of that man’s mouth in a serious moment. I feel really bad for Carol and Ezekiel. I feel really bad for Lydia. A bit more for Carol just because she lost her daughter, then she lost Mika to Lizzie, had to kill Lizzie because she couldn’t be trusted, and then she lost Henry to Alpha’s crazy ass. What really hurt in this episode was her saying to Daryl “I feel like I’m losing myself again.” because she was LOST by the end of season 6 and in season 7 and of course Carol is going to do what Carol needs to do when it comes down to it like how she completely gave up her seclusion once she heard about Glenn and Abraham, but Ezekiel and Henry 1000% made her feel more whole and not lost anymore. And I feel bad for Lydia simply because while I do think a lot of what happened is because of her, I still don’t think she’s entirely to blame which I’m saying as a singular viewer and not based on anything you both were saying. But Lydia was just a girl who happened to grow up with a psychotic mother and unwillingly became part of a psychotic group of people. That’s all she knew until she encountered our group. I never really cared for the Lydia and Henry romance but I liked it for her because he helped show her that despite what her mother had said over the years it is possible for a community of people to thrive and exist happily and for the most part have a normal existence during the apocalypse. Even though a lot of our people died in the last episode I always thought it was right for them to take Lydia in. And I don’t even think Lydia realized the lengths that she’d go to in retaliating. Michonne said it perfectly in my opinion “Lydia can’t help where she came from, but she’s choosing where she wants to be” or something like that. I also realize that Alden is upset that Enid is dead, understandably he has every right to be but idk him blaming Lydia is insane to me. She’s not the one who kidnapped everyone and decapitated them. She didn’t want that to happen. One last thing after writing a novel 😂 I know you both weren’t all that thrilled with this season, or the future ones but I still enjoy your reactions nonetheless and I’m sure not every episode you’ll enjoy I know there will still be quite a few you will. Only 2 more seasons to goooo(well for us to watch you react to)!!! 😂

actually wild as all hell to whoever it is calling her stupid cause she’s not. and i know it’s mainly her but she and her mom are both great reactors. the commentary is always enjoyable and engaging and humorous a lot of the time. it’s just such a completely and unnecessary mean thing for people to say. i also find it like incredibly weird when sometimes people in the comments say things under reactions like “oh how could you have missed that” or “i don’t know what would make you think that” especially when someone’s first time watching something. how are they supposed to remember or know every single detail because if it’s my first time watching i know i sure don’t.

honestly after season 6 the show is not the same show anymore and as long as youve watched those 6 seasons you got the best of the show. and the rest is just watching cuz of the attachment to the characters and wanting to see how they end up. for me personlly it was not the same show after they killed Carl and rick.

I liked this season a lot more than the past 3 honestly. I feel like as soon as Negan was introduced I lost interest and every episode dragged on and on. At least this one I wasn't rolling my eyes every other scene. Personally I feel like the quality of the writing has improved massively. So maybe not a lot happened but at least it didn't feel dumb while doing it

I didn’t watch this show until COVID. I binged it. The early seasons were definitely the best. The only season that I can saw I absolutely did not enjoy was season 11, but I don’t regret watching it…I had to see it through.

I do like that we finally get to see a winter episode. I was always curious how they would lived through it during winter times. For me season 9 was so so for me it wasn't anything to exciting. I think season 10 & 11 was me just watching it to see they end the show. I remember I didn't even watch some of the episodes when it first got released. Idk i think the storyline or the pace of the show just got super slow.

I don’t know if anyone else caught this or mentioned this but when Carol said all she saw was Henry when she looked at Lydia and then Daryl asked what Carol saw when she looked at him, he was referring to if Carol sees Sophia because Daryl still carries a lot of guilt for not being able to find and bring Sophia back to Carol for her.

It wasn't must see tv after season 9. I liked two episodes in season 10 and maybe the the last two in season 11. Then I was ready for The Ones That Live. Watching TWD was a time back then. I went to their convention called Walker Stalker about 10 years ago,next week to be exact. Lol. Anyhoo, I got to take a pic with Glenn and then one with Michonne.

Damn fr? I loved season 10. I think from 10x07 > 10x13 is such an amazing and entertaining run of episodes. I also really enjoy others like the 10x03, 10x04, 10x16 etc. I think thats a really solid season. The only thing that lets it down is the lack of Michonne.

Yeah this is definitely part of it. Bingeing is a very different experience. And I think if you’re starting to not feel the show as a whole anymore (vs just not vibing with an ep here and there) but continue watching regardless, it makes it harder to keep giving it chances when you’re already over it. Where as we all were with this show for yearssss and we got so attached 🤣 that and comic readers being more attached and open to later seasons makes sense too
