Listen as sad as it is that Carrie kills a lot of people…she’s always been an icon to me and I stand by the fact that every iteration of Carrie is not entirely in the wrong. She’s had a bad life and people treat her like shit. Is it morally right? Of course not, but if you push someone too hard and for too long, they’re going to break and push back. I speak for this version based off this episode, she’s just a young sweet girl who had no choice and was forced to go to school because sadly her dad died and the city found out about her and her mother. She just wants to fit in and her being as sweet and positive as she is well that’s all she knows. It’s more sad knowing how harsh teenage kids can be because most don’t know how to regulate their own emotions and just be genuinely kind to someone like Carrie who had no say in the way she grew up or the way she was taught certain things. I’ve always believed Carrie is lowkey justified in what she does. I will say though such a shame about Tommy…particularly this version and the actor who plays him 🔥🥵

I mean she knocked her down and banged her head lol she's also allowed to be upset by someone's reaction that caused her harm even if there wasn't intent. Her showing she feels bad just shows she realized that she overreacted just as bad as Carrie did. The real problem is her BFFL who is a fucking MONSTER of a person. How do you see someone freaking out like that and make it worse by taunting them. That teacher should've stepped in before it got to that.

43:01 Def traumatizing and idk what county does the drill to this extreme but unfortunately we do live in a country where we have to prepare kids for that type of emergency. Makes me sick.. I do know that our active shooter drills have to be done once a month, every month until school ends. Along with fire drills and Lock-in/Lock-out drills.

That's why I love Mike's new twist to the story. I'm soooo excited for what's to come!! Also, if you haven't watched Hush or Haunting of Hill House... GOOORRRRLLLL! Both by Mike Flanagan and both scary lol but I feel like you're finally getting used to the scary stuff since we basically hold you at gunpoint to watch the horror we know you're scared of.

I think Sue's problem (with Chris specifically) is that she gets a side of her that others don't and she has insight into how SHIIITTTTY Chris' home life is with her parents so she has empathy for her. You can tell she's one of those people will allow bad behavior because "Well, she's going through a lot and I don't wanna make it worse" but don't worry... She learns quickly that empathy needs to have limits. Some people just suck and are choosing to be shitty to others, because they hate themselves (or mom and dad). But that's no one else burden to bare- get your shit together and be a decent human being. It's the bare minimum to ask for lol.
