Like absolutely tf not, both of those characters can rot in hell. At this point I just want Mr Morton to adopt Carrie and take her away from all of these vile people.

I think the Margaret one is a little more understandable. Like do I agree that she's a good mom on this series? No. But I think compared to how she's portrayed in the movies and the book? She's way more better at treating Carrie like her daughter at the very least.

Yeah I agree that when comparing it to the book, Margaret in the series is much more believable as just an overprotective mom. When you ignore that and just look in the context of the show tho, even just in the first 2 eps she has manipulated and emotionally abused Carrie several times. Also I feel like the super religious judgy bs she spews triggers me bc I know people like that irl so I hated her instantly😭

I dont think chris is pure evil, especially being a troubled teenager. im not excusing her actions in any way, but growing up with so much control and privelege over your life it makes sense for her to react this way especially with her dad's personality melting onto her. She's doing these horrible things and doesn't even know why herself, she's trying to take back control in the only way she's been taught and knows, to belittle those "beneath" her and project her feelings towards her own miserable situation onto other people. Now Margaret I dont have much to say.

I get that her home life molded her to be like this but it just gets to a point where you have to choose to be better and Chris doesn’t. She always takes it way too far and seems to take pleasure in breaking people. This type of behavior makes people take their own lives all the time and I just can’t sympathize with that.

As far as I’m concerned, Snell is NOT a good person thus far. As bad as she feels for treating Carrie the way she did during the drill, she’s still both a bystander to her bullying, and an active participant (“Carrie Red” comment). Literally every single person in this show kinda sucks, except for that other girl (Brooklyn?). Mother: brainwashed Chris: straight bitch Snell: bitch with a moral compass Principle: doesn’t do enough by Carrie Homeroom teacher: seriously should get another job. It’s hard not to be pissed off watching this show 😩

i’m literally obsessed with this show. i’m so happy you’re watching it too, i get to experience it all over again with you!! i’ve always loved the book and the first movie, but especially the book. i really love how they kept certain elements from the original story while adapting everything to modern times. so many things in it reflect what’s happening in the world today and i think they did such an amazing job bringing those themes into the show the acting, the cinematography, the way everything is written, narrated and produced… literally everything about this show is amazing and carrie??? she’s just everything. the world doesn’t deserve her. i’d always be on her side 😭

she’s a bystander and feeding into the bullying, it’s wrong in so many ways and a joke is supposed to be funny, they’re bullying carrie. it absolutely makes them bad.

I agree she's a bystander who isn't stopping her friend from being mean. The name thing was a joke and people did laugh it was just a joke at the expense of Carrie and that's what makes it "wrong" in some people's eyes. I just don't think the play on the name because of the situation makes her a bully like Chris.
